What is so great about this fight is if you recall, when Saitama was "fighting" the earth people he had his heart BEAT, him feeling the long forgotten feelings of a real fight he can go all out in. Boros has the same beat when he is about to throw his ultimate move, so of all people , Boros understands Saitama and his struggle to exist
I fucking love the boros fight. Lemme just talk for a second. This episode starts with the theme song playing, which usually means the main character is making a comeback or having a moment of glory, right? But as we know, Saitama isn't even phased by this. He's still stone-faced and casually backstepping while Boros keeps increasing his power levels. And Saitama keeps matching him, regardless. Remember that dream at the beginning of the series? The one where Saitama had a challenge with the underground people? This is Boros getting the same thing, but for real. Both Boros and Saitama had one thing in common: they were the strongest of their kind, and constantly looking for a challenge. Boros crossed countless solar systems to find his, and Saitama knew that. He knew that Boros was finally getting his "true fight". It's underscored with the heartbeat, the same one that we see in saitama's dream. It's Boros finally feeling alive again. So when he unleashed his final attack, Saitama responded in kind...or at least pretended to. In the last moment Boros saw the truth: Saitama wasn't even really trying. The man Saitama had just beaten felt pity for him, because he knew that there was no match for him. I fucking LOVE this fight. I'm not doing it justice.
I love how everyone on the grounds sees the ship listing and assumes Tornado is responsible, but in truth it's just from Saitama returning to earth... Saitama simply *travelling* does more damage than all Tornado's bombardments
Saitama had his hopes high when Boros survived that first punch but midway thru the fight he realised he's going to be disappointed as shown in his face at the end
Amai is among the more tenured heroes, most popular people (idol status puts him over **good looks help**), he is ruthless with monsters (as seen with his summary execution of the PoWs), he legitimately has power beyond A-ranks and apparently (knowing the data as he would) much of S-class. As he said, he is where he is to play PR. He keeps undesirables out of the higher ranks (in theory **clearly not doing a bang-up job with a prison rapist among other questionable types**). This season doesn't give him much to work with beyond talk, however. Anime and Manga (artist for it seems to have a chip on his shoulder for the K-pop parody **so loved by women**) don't really give him love. Webcomic is kinder to him (ONE has no jealousy towards the guy). But your feelings are sensible for what is known at this point. Whether or not you might (much) later feel a little differently is another matter. Wouldn't count on getting those reveals even in the next half decade, frankly.
12:05 later in the manga, tatsumaki actually fought Saitama and at first was confused how her powers were not working on him, and then went crazy realizing she had finally found a punching bag. She ended up passing out due to exhaustion from the battle, Saitama won without even throwing a single blow
Saitama and Boros were moral opposites of each other. So, wanted to be a hero, get adulation, and have fun fighting. In becoming so powerful, he lost his ability to really have fun fighting and as a hero he never got the respect he deserved, much less the fandom. Boros wanted to dominate the universe and largely did. But he was so powerful that he never had fun fighting until he met Saitama. Everything was about his ego whereas saitama still believes in doing good, even if he doesn't get respect. I hope you watch the Six OVAs at the end of season 1. The first one really goes into house Saitama became a hero.
If you want to see a similar concept of "this guy just can't be bothered to care", but in a lower scale comedy show, I recommend "Haven't you heard? I'm Sakamoto!" Not really a battle show, it's about a class with one student that's on a kind of bullshit.
Amazing reaction, I heard much that 2nd season animation became worse, but I love season 2 even more. Animation is different and more juicy for me and content is 🔥)
I can't wait to see you react to season 2🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯. To me, it was decent, even though it wasn't necessarily welcomed all that much. But I'm very sure you're still going to like it👍👍👍
For me s2 was a huge disappointment. While everyone else was whining over drop in animation quality, I lamented the fact, that instead of crapping all over animu tropes and superhero genre in particular, it started to take itself too seriously, becoming mostly one of the ones it so well mocked in the first season. I laughed so hard, I was aching all over, when watching s1, while I only got a few chuckles during s2.
This might come out wrong but I'mma be blunt. There isn't anything quite like some afro-american men watching hype as fuck action and making O faces and talking shit. It's amazing, keep up the entertaining content.
No one gets as hype as African Americans 😂 Seriously, I've never met bigger DBZ fans than ghetto black Americans. I think that the anime hype pairs well with that culture
Devin, You should react to the 7 OVAs (Original Video Animation) that were made around the time of season 1. They are shorter than normal episodes but are all great and add more depth to One Punch Man's overall story. I'll list the titles and the year they were published for you so you don't watch something from season 2 by accident: 1. "Road to Hero" - 2015 2. "The Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close" - 2015 3. "The Pupil Who is an Extremely Poor Talker" - 2016 4. "The Ninja Who is Too Complicated" - 2016 5. "Bang, Who is Too Overbearing" - 2016 6. "The Sisters Who have Too Much Going On" - 2016 7. "The Murder Case That Was Too Impossible" - 2016 Season 2 didn't come out until 2019, so those listed above are the ones which are meant to accompany season 1.
How dare you laugh at Boros, if Saitama wasnt there, everyone would have died easily without Boros even having to use Meteoric Burst. If Blast returned though he could wrap it up by moving Boros to another dimension but that's all, Boros if he lands a punch would destroy Blast, but Blast should barely be able to keep up.
You gotta respect Boros for putting up a fight. Its been awhile since Saitama felt somewhat of exhilaration. Season 2 is heavy on the side characters but i think your gonna like it too

Nice. Never noticed that.

Boros is lucky that King couldn't reach the ship this would have been a 5-minute episode
Hahaha….
Would have been over as soon as boros heard the king engine.
Man fr hahaha
The way you were invested in Metal Bat and Amai Mask's beef
cant wait for you to start season 2. glad you liked this show so much. keep it up
Saitama had his hopes high when Boros survived that first punch but midway thru the fight he realised he's going to be disappointed as shown in his face at the end
i'd say Meteoric Burst gave him a sliver of hope..but of course it fell off quickly
I love how amai mask calling class s pathetic made devin say " fight him, jump his ass!" 🤣 if only..
The heart beat in ep 1 and 12 give goosebumps 😅

I wonder how long we'll have to wait to see an anime animated so well again.
You dont watch current anime?
jujustsu kaisen? it's their current work and even during current incidents in MAPPA studios, it's always mesmerizing
Frieren, undead unlock, JJK, etc.
It's phenomenal but the fight with Boris was just the best animation I've ever seen jjk is a good second@@josephclay7315
Mob Psycho. Same manga author except the entire anime was made by Bones who, I'm pretty sure, animated the Saitama vs Boros fight
This episode goes so hard lol I love it 😂😂😂
my man boros undervalued , he only fight saitama , a wall that nobody pass
Overrated more like
@@Ryuzaki3737 i'm curious, just how is he overrated?
@@Ryuzaki3737 The one that could take the most hits. Way more than the one punch.

Great reaction!
One of my favorite animes
Boros went out like Megatron vs Frieza. Smh. He gave Saitama the best fight to date though. Yes, better than Garou.
Agreed. The fact that Saitama held back in that fight is just insane

Fuck yeah let’s go ONE PUNCH !!!!! 🎶 🎼 🎵
One punch man is so good... If only s3 will ever come 🤣
Thanks Devin! More Anime please
Can't for your reaction for season 2!
Amazing reaction, I heard much that 2nd season animation became worse, but I love season 2 even more. Animation is different and more juicy for me and content is 🔥)
Season 2 is worth the watch IMO!
I have no idea about the true extent of Amai's power, but I'd pay real money to get to watch Tatsumaki turn him inside out... slowly.
Invincible next! Keep going dude!
So good 👍
Just to let you know in the future lets just say to quote Kevin hart " you gonna learn today" tatsumaki will learn

Amai Mask is kinda busted
looking too much at the camera my man, you're missing out some stuff :p
s2 is better !
