The Dutch Dennis Bergkamp. Also scored a few nice goals in the Dutch team. Another little fact? Dennis is afraid of flying. And his wife is of course from Spakenburg, the Netherlands.
Then Dennis Bergkamp. Played football in Italy. He drove back to the Netherlands. In BMW 850I. His in-laws are worth between €40 to €50 million. My sister and brother worked for them. Greetings from Spakenburg, Netherlands.
Back in the first playstation era, my father only played with Netherlands in the old winning eleven game. He used to say that Bergkamp and Kluivert were absolute monsters, but i didn't had the chance to see them in action because the first WC i remember was '02 when we won for the last time. Good childhood memories.
Indeed it is not all about the goals. There are playmakers in this game (like quarterbacks in NFL) that simply elevate any team by the way they control the speed and flow of the game, distribute the right and some times impossible passes to get others in the position to score. These are the guys i like most. The Generals directing and leading their troops on the frontine, in the trenches. And when you can do both, lead, provide assists, turn games around, and score yourself when it really matter,.... then you are one of the all time greats in my book. Ofcourse strikers get the most attention, but that doesnt per se make thel the best, or even most important player in the pitch. There are a few i could mention, and it will be a discussion of who is best, and about the era they played in etc... all that great trivial stuff 😂 we like to occupy our minds with to forget life for a while. So here we go 😂: Kevin de Bruyne, Mr Assist, King Kev, KDB, the Ginger God of Manchester, IS the best midfielder and in my book even player in the game, and has been for years. You have the glamboys like Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, Mbape... ... and then you have Kevin ( and a few others like him ) just doing his thing as an introvert stacking up records year after year. An absolute genius on the pitch and a quiet family man with no fuss or drama outside work. He only make the headlines in context of his game, and i like that. No doubt he will get his life size statue outside the City stadium when he retires. I've been watching football/soccer for a long time, and i know it's a futile and useless discussion 😂, but anyway here you go. 🤘❤️🇺🇲🇧🇪🇪🇺🇬🇧 Ps: if you want to see some magic : "when football becomes art" is a series of videos that combines per player clips of their best moves, goals, .... .
5.19 I think that is Ronaldinho and he was insanely good, especially when it comes to pure ball control which is of course only a part of being a good player. He and Maradona are just wired differently between their super quick brains and legs, they operate in a different time from regular humans, they have always more of it. He takes all the speed out of the descending ball with the slightest movement of his big toe to have it dead on his feet for the next move, and than does an akka through the legs. That's so hard to do, the first touch is the hardest part of football and most about pure talent. Most very good highly payed technically good players need a yard to get such a high ball under control, he needs 1cm. The akka is beyond most good players too, no matter how much they practice, it takes both super quick feet and a great velvet touch. Through the legs is seen as an humiliation not to be tolerated by defenders even in practice, so that is very hard to do too.
The fact that you are fascinated by the ball control and skill rather than just goals is what makes you the perfect candidate to love this sport! It's not always just about the goals! There is so much more to it, which all is fascinating in my opinion
What you don't get to experience just watching these snippets and highlights is the tension during full games, the sheer excitement when YOUR team scores or at least plays great football. The excitement growing during competitions like the UEFA cup or even the Fifa World cup. That's something else I can tell you.
You want gaols with spins, look for Roberto Carlos kicks, some of them were really insane. He was the best at it during his time, i am not brazilian but his kicking was incredible, the movement of the ball was insane, magical.
As a Czech guy, this made me subscribe to your channel. Czech moments in the video: 8:52 Crazy save by Petr Čech, one of the best goalkeepers ever. He appeared at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and contributed to the national team beating the U.S., 3:0. He also holds the record for the most clean sheet in the English Premier League (202 clean sheets in just 443 games). 9:13 A totally random goal by Alex Král, playing for Slavia Prague. I think this one was from a match against the Spanish side of FC Sevilla in March 2019, the top team of the Europa League competition and Slavia managed to beat them also thanks to this lucky moment.
I’m not even a fan of baseball but I love Ohtani. There’s something fascinating about watching people do something well or special. For football, I’d recommend Barcelona’s Champions League Semi-Final against Liverpool. The comeback was surreal (& I went to the final in Madrid). You can watch the greatest comebacks of all time. You could watch videos on Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Maradona, Ronaldinho, Van Basten, Paolo Maldini, Kaka (his goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Champions League in 2007 was phenomenal. They went on to beat my team Liverpool in the Champions League Final that year), David Villa (one of the best strikers of all time in my opinion - people talk about Barcelona with Suarez & Neymar but Barcelona were something else when Villa & Henry played with Messi), Kenny Dalglish, George Best, John Barnes (his goal against Brazil), Ronaldo (the original), Roy Keane & his monumental performance against Juventus. There is so much you have yet to see & I am so jealous. With that being said, football continues to create spectacular moments. Darwin Nunez, for me personally, has been responsible for many this season. You’ve also got Jude Bellingham, a player I wanted for Liverpool, scoring screamers & winners against Barcelona for Real Madrid. You could check funny football chants, videos on passionate fans, every major tournament final as far back as you can go. You could also watch World Cup highlights (Germany silencing Brazil in Brazil is a game I’ll remember. I remember where I was & what I was doing). Sorry for the essay. I adore football (& not the superficiality of it but the skill & tactics of it). I like to play it too. That’s pretty much what you do here when you grow up - whether it be on a pitch or in the streets.
@@djgenetic111 I have only ever been concerned about clashing heads with another player. Heading the ball a few times in a game - done properly is very unlikely to cause an issue. However doing repetitive heading training drills is not recommended and certainly not for kids.
@@drcl7429 This was already an issue for my mom when i played myself when i was a kid over 20 years ago. She had read an article in the newspaper at that time about how it can affect the brain at a young age. We stil had heading practice though in those days

Glad you enjoyed! Soccer's 'foot-eye coordination" always gets underestimated. Players have all ball control ability of a basketball player, quarterback, wide receiver, and pitcher - but with their feet! ESPN did this great comparative analysis of 60 sports and about the only score I found legitimately lacking was the the one soccer got for hand-eye coordination, where it was points behind tennis, baseball, basketball, and football.
The 2024 European Championships (Euro2024) start Friday June 14th. Try to catch some games! Probably a bit problematic due to kick off times, but highly recommend if you want to see some good football, especially in the knockout stages.
I agree. And i dont even think kick off times will be a big issue. Most games start at 18h or 21 C.E.T, only a few at 15h. Chicago is only 6hrs behind, so the early game would be 9h for him. Not a terrible time. Australians have it worse in this case 😂. Ps: how are the dutch doing? Going to win this one? As usual 😂. 🤘❤️
6:50 This goalie's name is Tim Howard and he's from America. And the match is USA vs Belgium. Actually America is pretty good at football. They often win their national zone of CONCACAF and their national team are an average team in world ratings, like middle strong.
I'll never understand how Americans don't play football, as a kid kicking a ball about with all your mates seems like the most natural thing ever. Also it's a sport everyone can play and join along tall or short there's a position for everyone. You don't have to be some freak of nature to actually be good at it lol
I used to play keeper and when someone broke through it wasnt intimidating, i welcomed it, in that scenario no one expects you to save it so the pressure it on the striker, i loved it when you could pull off a save 1 on 1.
Please react to Zlatan Ibhrahimovic's best goals. He's a titan and you'll love it. He's known for his unusual technical ability despite being super tall.
Dude, very good reactions. Short pause when you have to say something, then say something fairly smart, actually paying attention, good comments. Subsribed.
That was Tim Howard (US) saving all those shots against Belgium, that game made me go mad, but we won in the end. Tim Howard was an amazing keeper, he saved Everton in a lot of games.
It's the midfielders who control the tempo of the game, and create the goal scoring opportunities. Spain has produced many classy midfielders, such as Iniesta and Xavi.
The first hit on the back of the head is certainly much more famous than the one shown here. In the 1970 World Cup in Mexico, German captain Uwe Seeler scored the equalizer against the English in the quarter-finals. The British lost the "Heat Battle of Leon" (100 Fahrenheit in shadow, 131 in the sun) 3:2 after they had already led 2:0. And Germany got revenge for their defeat in the 1966 final in London...
Please watch "memorias del futbol chapecoense" In other videos, you mention how you like the fact that small teams can grow and make it to the top. This is the perfect example of that. it's in Spanish but has subtitles.
you touched on ball control, and you’re spot on. soccer is a very easy sport for a beginner, it’s quite straightforward, but extremely difficult to master. The sheer range of technique for various ways to control the ball, dribble, pass, and shoot the ball is insane. Add to that playing with your feet is just a less intuitive technique than with your hands, it’s incredible to watch what some players can do with a ball
I like you guy so much. I am from Germany, so i dont know my english is correct all time. Give me more in this Channel. I hope i can make holiday with my family in USA in the next years and meet nice guys like you. Ohh and not kind like the Nice Guys from the Movie😁
You should check any “tiki taka” barcelona team or Spanish national selection 15 years ago. Don’t expect highlights, but expect total domination technically and tactically as never before.
It doesn't happen often but if you can kick the ball hard and just right, the ball stops spinning and literally acts like a knuckleball pitch in baseball (if you remember those). The power increases tremendously and I still remember, almost as if I was looking in slow motion, the ball deforming mid air in its flight path while juking around. Really cool.
3:26 So a goalkeeper/goalie is not allowed to handle the ball outside of the big area around the goal that is called the 18 yard box and a teammate is allowed to cover the goal WITHOUT the us of their hands. So hands are illegal for outfielders but the goalkeeper uses hands only in his 18 yard box area
I'm a terrible football player, but I come from one of those countries where you start kicking ball right around the time you start walking. I really, really wished I could just have like 3 hours with you on the pitch, I'm sure I could show you some cool stuff!
It helps to compare kicking a football/soccer ball to a golf stroke. For example, a player can create bend from left to right or right to left (in golf, a fade/slice or a draw/hook), depending on the angle at which he strikes the ball, or the part of his foot with which he strikes it. Certain players are exceptionally good at it. No surprise, Messi is amongst the best at it. David Beckham was exceptional at it in his day - hence the film, "Bend it Like Beckham". A Japanese player named Sunsuke Nakamura (played for my club, Celtic FC) was another phenomenally talented bender of free kicks.
Pierre Van Hooijdonk must be the best free kick taker ive ever seen play. That 2002 Uefa Cup season he scored some amazing free kicks but also in the national League he scored frequently
5:04 That is the german soccer Mesut Özil but he is after the world cup not more relevant. Manuel Neuer (Bayern Munich, German national team) and Marc-André ter Stegen (FC Barcelona, German national team) are the world's best goalkeepers in the ranking of the world's best goalkeepers.
Check out the scorpion kick video, the goalie that kicked out the ball with both heels. Look into more highlights videos, like Erling Haaland and Diego Maradona.
Shoutout to the goalkeepers. The (almost) unsung heroes of the pitch. These guys can do this, next game have a tremendous bad decision and their career will shake. Fortunately, since some years to this part, GK's are getting attention (for the good exhibitions).
I came across your first football video and now im navigating and i couldn’t wait for you to react to games ! Some people say football is the n1 sport in the world because humans can’t wrap their head around the fact that they do this shit with their feet. This is the only sport in which feet are the precision tool, not just here for balance and stuff !
Watching a live Football game is a whole different level compared to major league games. I’ve been to major league baseball, basketball, and hockey games and they are subdued compare to Football. Fans are nuts. In England, a lot of pubs won’t let patrons in that are wearing jerseys. Can’t imagine that here. The previous Football video doesn’t even get into national games which are also played during league games. You have regional cups and World Cup qualifying games. Some players will miss league games to go to these national games. World Cup is coming to NA so definitely a good time to get into Football. It’s a hella fun sport to watch
It must be clear to everyone that US football/handball will never become popular in the rest of the world, who wants to watch 3.5 hours of advertising and half an hour of games when you can watch real football
Depends on your mindset. The first time I tried to watch football/soccer, I was not impressed. But I went in with a closed mind and not knowing anything beyond kicking the ball to score a goal. American and Canadian football is very structured, so going in blind and or with a closed mind, it can be difficult to follow. I do agree that the commercials are a pain. Capitalism at its finest lol

Speaking of ball control, Ibra has a famous quote (one of many): "Det Carew gör med en fotboll gör jag med en apelsin" - translated "what Carew does with a fotball, I do with an orange". This was his response back when Zlatan was criticised for his moves by the Norweigan striker John Carew.

Heading the ball is a skill. For starters, neck work is necessary to add same acceleration to your head. This changes the amount and vector of kinetic energy, without it you get full hit. You want to nudge the ball in a different direction while preserving it's momentum. If momentum hits you it hurts. You never want to be static object absorbing full force at perpendicular angle.
In the previous video on the formations and rules you said/got the impression that "full court press" and "quick counters" don't really happen. I'd recommend checking out the first as lightning counter attacks video by the Premier League UA-cam channel
You should absolutely check out Ronaldinho, hes like the GOAT imo. Lionel Messi was a little boy at Barcelona Academy when Ronaldinho was in his Prime at Barcelona.
My dad was a football player and at 30 during one game, a guy stepped on his leg and broke his foot. imagine the pain after your leg is broken with those special shoes. Luckily, he went to the best hospital in the country and got some screws in the knee. Stayed home with his leg in cast for like 6 mo and since then he just plays for fun. He tried to coach for a while but the management was bad af.
Check out a compilation of Ronaldinho's skills, he's by far the best at tricks during a competitive game that i have ever seen. I feel really lucky to have been alive when he was in his prime

Ps: if you want to see some magic : "when football becomes art" is a series of videos that combines per player clips of their best moves, goals, ....
Through the legs is seen as an humiliation not to be tolerated by defenders even in practice, so that is very hard to do too.
...but did they name him twice?
The fact that you are fascinated by the ball control and skill rather than just goals is what makes you the perfect candidate to love this sport! It's not always just about the goals! There is so much more to it, which all is fascinating in my opinion
Another good clip is Robert Lewandowski (the guy who was curving 3 balls in from behind the net) scoring 5 goals in 9 minutes. Absolutely legendary!
What you don't get to experience just watching these snippets and highlights is the tension during full games, the sheer excitement when YOUR team scores or at least plays great football. The excitement growing during competitions like the UEFA cup or even the Fifa World cup. That's something else I can tell you.
That one touch passing by Arsenal against Norwich has to be some of sleekest pass and movement I've seen, and a great finish from Jack Wiltshire 😉😉👍
"Thats like Wizardry"
Your getting it bro 😂❤️
Good fun to see a fellow American appreciate football. I only wish we had a comparable league here.
You want gaols with spins, look for Roberto Carlos kicks, some of them were really insane. He was the best at it during his time, i am not brazilian but his kicking was incredible, the movement of the ball was insane, magical.
As a Czech guy, this made me subscribe to your channel. Czech moments in the video:
8:52 Crazy save by Petr Čech, one of the best goalkeepers ever.
“I mean, maybe this guy is really good” 😂oh how I lol’d
That’s pretty much what you do here when you grow up - whether it be on a pitch or in the streets.
if you want to see some amazing ballcontroll you should watch futsal or freestyle football competitions. Those people have some amazing skills.
Heading is done usually only with the forehead. It does hurt everywhere else.
yes, but most hobby players try to avoid headers, even some professionals, because in the long run, it is not healthy for the brain.
Jesus Christ, you guys are soft. Here in Brazil, that's not even a subject. Seriously, I've never even heard of such a thing. Maybe that's not an issue at all, and you're all overreacting? 😂
@@andrevictorgomes actually, Brazilian players are not known for their headers. And there are many scientific studies showing that the brains of ex-professional football players look similar to ex-boxers.
that corner move at 1:19 forward he tried to knock the ball off the defender for a corner, but it hapenstance missed the defender, and he in a split second took advantage, that is quick thinking training too i bet.
Escape to Victory. Stallone played Keeper. If you want to see the best hat-trick EVER. Check out Ibrahimovic - Sweden vs England
As usual 😂. 🤘❤️
@@CobraChicken101 mwah...nee we gaan niet winnen 🤣
6:50 This goalie's name is Tim Howard and he's from America. And the match is USA vs Belgium. Actually America is pretty good at football. They often win their national zone of CONCACAF and their national team are an average team in world ratings, like middle strong.
And more and more good young American players are getting chances in Europe as well.
Please watch "memorias del futbol chapecoense"
In other videos, you mention how you like the fact that small teams can grow and make it to the top. This is the perfect example of that.
it's in Spanish but has subtitles.
I hope you discover more about football. So much amazing moments, the fans, everything around it.
you touched on ball control, and you’re spot on. soccer is a very easy sport for a beginner, it’s quite straightforward, but extremely difficult to master.
From a Englishman, your English is more than ok mate!
THX☺@@Baptist7203
5:10 Imagine someone saying this about Ronaldinho. 'Maybe this guy is really good' lol. That's arguably the most skillful player ever
2:02
It actually spins that much because it hits the foot of the defender though
Whis gonna tell bro about when goalkeepers score goals from their box
It's always nice to see people appreciate the game
Hat off to u for exploring.
Next: Handball. I'm gonna laugh my arse off!
That US international team goalie was Tim Howard, he has played for Manchester United.
lionel messi highlights when?
They were... now i would say Alisson Becker tops the chart.
Nobody really considers them the best GK's anymore. Many others have surpassed them.
Check out the scorpion kick video, the goalie that kicked out the ball with both heels.
Look into more highlights videos, like Erling Haaland and Diego Maradona.
Like Romario(MatigolVidz) and Zico (futbol nacional)
Crazy Columbian René Higuita, aka "El Loco".
@@thkempe
Thank you!
I couldn't remember the name or nationality, but as soon as I saw your reply I remembered.
Have you seen spinners ( Bowlers ) in Cricket like a pitcher in Baseball. The movement they can get from a cricket ball is unreal .
Shoutout to the goalkeepers. The (almost) unsung heroes of the pitch.
These guys can do this, next game have a tremendous bad decision and their career will shake.
Fortunately, since some years to this part, GK's are getting attention (for the good exhibitions).
Loved this video! You should react to the beauty of football, includes titles for clips to show how significant some of the moments are
Need more of this and a reaction to Ultras our way of life !
Maybe this guy's really good. This man knows talent, ronaldinho is crazy
this compilation clip I have never seen.. awesome footbal.
Goalkeeper highlights are so underrated
I came across your first football video and now im navigating and i couldn’t wait for you to react to games ! Some people say football is the n1 sport in the world because humans can’t wrap their head around the fact that they do this shit with their feet. This is the only sport in which feet are the precision tool, not just here for balance and stuff !
You should watch Kevin de bruine from belgium. Best assist player of the last 5 years
💯👍

Watching a live Football game is a whole different level compared to major league games. I’ve been to major league baseball, basketball, and hockey games and they are subdued compare to Football. Fans are nuts. In England, a lot of pubs won’t let patrons in that are wearing jerseys. Can’t imagine that here.
The previous Football video doesn’t even get into national games which are also played during league games. You have regional cups and World Cup qualifying games. Some players will miss league games to go to these national games.
World Cup is coming to NA so definitely a good time to get into Football. It’s a hella fun sport to watch
You shoukd watch the goal from Marco van Basten in the european championship final in 1988. It's one of the best ever in my opinion.
It must be clear to everyone that US football/handball will never become popular in the rest of the world, who wants to watch 3.5 hours of advertising and half an hour of games when you can watch real football
Agree, i tried two times to watch american football.
2 superbowl final.
The most boring sport I ever watched by far
@@TheTonyAUG Yes, and the beer is thin and tastes like piss
Also, if you want hits, there's always rugby.
@@ikec2894 AMERIKAN FUTBOL was not just difficult to followed, but also boring for me (and so many pple on the earth) and american people make it more difficult for ua to enjoyit, why? Coz so many american people thing that they are the best, they are the richest one, they are the populer one, and the way americans thingking was the reason why american based sport like american football hockey, basketball, baseball, nascar, indycar, was never popular in other country and i think it will never.
Someone show this guy some prime Wenger ball. 🔴⚪️
The American GoalKeeper was a very famous player who played in the premier league. Tim Howard is his name. He has retired since but he wqs a great player. Definitely one the best America has produced.
Paris Dakar 1988 almost winning with a Semi. Jan de rooy. The hardest rally in the world. Driving faster then the world champion Ari Vatanen of Rally.
This is why fútbol is the most beatiful game
He's gotta react to best Messi and Ronaldo moments. Especially the way Messi (the goat) dribbles and scores. It's beyond insane
Dammmmn I love your reaction man... And funny how I was about to suggest that you search and watch the videos of legends like Ronaldinho, Pele, Ronaldo No.9, Xabi, Iniesta, Drogba, Eto, Ballotteli, All Chelsea matches under Mourinho and all Barcelona games under Guardiola...
“Let me scoop that out of mid air and throw it right in the goal with my foot” 🤣 American for “volley” or “kick”
If you wanna see dribling watch Ronaldinho, we call him "bruxo" in brasil, which means wizard😅 truly one of a kind
