    I suffered from severe acne when I moved to Singapore for about a year. I tried a lot of anti-acne products but didn't work. Since I had no choice but to find a solution to my acne problems, I told myself whichever product that would 'heal' my face, I would use it for the rest of my life. Then I found Eucerin.
    Been using Eucerin since 2008. So whenever it's up on sale, I would buy a lot. :)

    I do agree that being consistent is the key for healthy radiant skin. I learned it the hard way😭😭 My face suffered a lot due to my constant skin care routine changes, now I'm sticking with what works for me. Which is the Estée Lauder Re-nutriv face cream.

    Love reading everyones must haves! I really like Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. It just really agrees with my skin. I put it on at night and any breakouts seem so much better by the morning. It just makes my skin look overall clearer.

    I love the YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum and the Y-shape serum. I combine them both and apply over clean skin. For my eyes, I prefer to use an unscented, vitamin E enriched organic lip balm for around my eyes. I cleanse my skin with Johnson & Johnson Moisturizing baby wash in the pink bottle. I love my skincare routine. It has kept me looking young.

    I make my own eye make-up remover. Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel and avocado oil. Works great especially for harder to remove mascara like Benefit "they're real".

      I use about 50/50 (shake before I use on a cotton pad). I'm sure coconut oil would work great as well. I also use the Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel as a face toner (non-alcohol).

    Well I'm quite clueless when it comes to having a skin care routine so basically I just use the Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer and if I want to get a little fancy I'll use a lush facemask in Coffee and a lush exfoliant in Ocean.
    Love your videos Elle! Seriously look forward to watching them every week! ❤️️

      I use the cetaphil moisturizer on face every morning and night. It is my favorite product since it has a lot of glycerin which is great to use as a primer for foundation. It is my favorite inexpensive product since it lasts forever and keeps my face plump. I get compliments on my skin all the time. I still use an eye cream and my once a week Lush face mask as well.

    Great video. :) I really want to try the shisedo cream. Your mom should be their brand ambassador.
    I love garnier micellar water, and thayers witch hazel/rose water because its very gentle for my sensitive, dry, acne prone skin, followed by mario badescu drying lotion on spots. That combo has been my skins savior for the past year if anyone else has skin like mine. And Lucas's paw paw ointment as an overnight lip treatment gives me noticeably more hydrated lips. My mother in law asked if I got lip injections.

    I am loyal to st Ives apricot cleanser because it's cheap and it works. I like to try new products so anything else is replaceable. Like I love La Mer and Omorovicza skincare and I will buy it when I have extra money but I always try to find a cheaper alternative. One recommendation I have for you to try is Bobbi Brown oil cleanser. It is very good. I have also used Shu Uemura and it is good also, but if you want something different that's cheaper then try Bobbi Brown.

    Hi Elle. How do you balance trying new skin care products vs following a consistent routine that enables your skin to reap the most benefit of the products currently used. I agree with not over cleansing as well. In fact, I try to keep a day out of the week where I rest my skin from both anything but warm to cool water. This works for well for me and I have mature skin.

    • @ElleFlorence
      @ElleFlorence  7 років тому +2

      +Francine K I switch things out very rarely, and only one at a time. Over the last year the only things that are new are the Day cream and Sunday Riley serum. I've switched from the cleanser to wipes before but found that they irritated my skin so I switched back. Xx

    I'm curious - this question can be to everybody. If you use one cream for many years don't you feel your skin has had enough of it or that it doesn't work anymore? My mum has been using Nuxe creams for three years and she said she feels that her skin can't take them anymore and I couldn't find that one product I will be able to use for many years on. After one or two packages I need to change the product.

    Elle, do you use sunscreen regularly? Not lecturing, just curious.
    My tried and true product is tretinoin, a retinoid, which is by prescription in the States. I love skincare and have tried some great commercially available products and have especially had fun with Korean products lately, but nothing makes my skin as consistently clear and even as retinoids.

    • @ElleFlorence

      Good point - I use a separate sunscreen when I'm going to spend time outside. This is because my BB cream actually contains SPF 40 sunscreen, so I only use another layer when I feel like I need it. I've linked both of those products if that helps :) xx

      Hi Elle, just wanted to let you know that most beauty product with SPF don't generally give you the full amount of SPF advertised. SPF testing is done using a standard amount, 1/4 tsp for the face. With the amount most people use, they only get 33% of the SPF benefit (so going from SPF 30 to 10 for example.) I know you're in Canada so you probably aren't worried about sun burn, but if you are relying on BB creams for anti-aging sun protection, you may not be getting quite enough.

    Hi hi! Is there such a thing as too young for anti aging product? I'm 23 and am interested in the Shisedo moisturizer but don't know if I should be splurging on something that's not really necessary at my age. Thoughts?

    • @ElleFlorence
      @ElleFlorence  7 років тому +2

      +Joyce Shimabukuro so my opinion is that you probably don't need it, as long as you take good care of your skin otherwise, but that said despite that I have been using shiseido since I was 22 and I did notice that my skin felt better after I started using it. Find a good cream that feels reasonable to you and stick to it :)
