This series is so good. It also makes a great argument for humanity and rehabilitation. A lot of these people have a story, it's not so black-or-white where people are "just evil".
Black and White is never the case. You should still strike down people who are an immediate threat. But that's just for pragmatic reasons. Everyone is a result of forces acting upon them. Muslim extremism is a part of Islam that was originally mistrusted by other muslims. It was born in a time of great crisis where the mongols had destroyed much and particular religious movements tried to make sense of it as a punishment from god. The word "jihad" is widely used, though often inaccurately, by Western politicians and media. In Arabic, the word means "effort" or "struggle". In Islam, it could be an individual's internal struggle against baser instincts, the struggle to build a good Muslim society, or a war for the faith against unbelievers. what is this guy on about....
Alot of people are doubting his sincerity and are nitpicking what he has to say without actually listening to his overall message. And it is something they’ve never apologised for or even acknowledged. Let’s not just let it slide as if it was no biggie.
this kind of holding onto hatred and regret is exactly why wars and conflict keep reappearing throughout the centuries. yes it was awefull, yes people died on both sides and alot more people probably died before then aswell. aslong you keep holding on to this instead of letting go (like the interviewed)you will be sure to let it happen again.

The act of helping out this Man...........is an act of passion towards your faith.....and is rightly an act of Jihad. The act of caring for the creation of God......animal preservation......done at the hands of a beleiver is Jihad........ Great content, but the definition of jihad is the struggle to discipline one's self (in a spiritual manner, physical manner such as rights, etc). Protesting for rights is a form of jihad, standing up for what you believe in is jihad, fighting your inner demons to become a better person is jihad, becoming sober is a form of jihad. War is a minor jihad e.g. fighting for freedom like the Americans did against the British in the revolutionary War. There are many forms of jihad. The media just portrays it as a violent and extreme act against people who are not Muslim. Instead it can be very beautiful when you realize the dedication it takes to better one's self. The Quran goes on and on about Christians and Jews being people of the book. 3) Read the whole Quran, not just the verses that confirm your hatred and fear. 4) I don't care what your religion is, whatever text you have, whether it be the Torah or Bible or other non-Abrahamic religious text, is violent too. If you are not religious, then look at those before you who caused terror and killed millions. Don't believe me? Look up the social experiment where they wrap a Bible with a cover of the Quran and read it to people or read those texts yourself, in their original language, not the washed down versions.

Exactly. I now watched former "rough guy", drug runner and now this. If nothing else, the series shows people CAN change. And very thoroughly.
This logic has been reawakened due to the very unstable conditions of the middle east. If american christianity where in the same position. I remember watching the news in Russian and English about the Beslan School Siege, one of the most horrendous things I've ever watched on live TV. God bless this man's soul for realizing that most of us don't want to fight, but want to live and let live. rabuna yahmik!
Wa iyyaak
God bless this man. He reminds me so much of my late father it's insane.
"Your reality will not change by being part of/joining the status quo"... I might have misquoted him a little here, but this is the wisest thing I have heard in a long time. Can be applied to all things in life. You can not fight anger and hate with more anger and hate.
If I tell people I’ve learnt anything on LadBible they will think I am crazy, but this series is truly top notch
He was kicked out by the Taliban and the. Flew to a western country 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Now, the Taliban were bad 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Taliban are always bad. Go live in Taliban emirate
I think part of why he had that revelation in as he said his last mission in Burma is because he witnessed the similar things happening to his own people, his family nonetheless back in 1971. you can clearly see what a grave effect it had on him by the way he instantly teared up.
That’s heavy. The world’s problems and solution succinctly defined, guided by humility and experience. A great man.
Such a beautiful and powerful interview. This is a man, who has gained his wisdom the hard way. His inner peace shows in the way he talks. And he talks sense! More power to you, Sir! You have my respect.
Curious to know why the interviewer's perfect English is subtitled, yet the interviewee, who isn't quite as easy to understand, isn't.
I don’t know if i misunderstood him, but I it’s actually not only wrong to kill religious non Muslims, it’s wrong to fight or kill anyone for not having a religion as well
This guy is the true Muslim I would say! May God bless him
Organised religion is the entrance to the mouth of madness. Be peace.
Surah 3: 151: "We shall cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve (all non-Muslims) …"
Surah 2: 191: "And kill them (non-Muslims) wherever you find them … kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers (non-Muslims)."
Surah 9: 5: "Then kill the disbelievers (non-Muslims) wherever you find them, capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush …"
Islamophobia level: 1000000
Alright, let me grab a couple of crayons and explain it to you.
1) These Surahs are relative to their time when Muslims were being prosecuted by idolaters, and you are taking them out of context to support your blind point of view
2) Disbelievers does NOT mean Non-Muslim.
Do you know this is talking about the Arab tride that oppressed the Muslims, you clearly don't know early Islamic history, the Arab tride the qurash killed and tortured the Muslims and God ordered the Muslims to fight back. EDUCATE YOURSELF.
Beard like a homeless man ffs...didn't take anything to actually change...it's all lip service
what an educated, well-mannered gentleman!
I have a deep amount of respect for this man, explaining the faults in the terrorist views of jihad and the godlessness of communist ideology.
My family on my dads side is middle eastern, & groups like AQ & IS have raised hell in these areas.
Radical Islamic rhetoric is certainly a threat, but out of the over a billion mulsims on earth, only a tiny fraction believe that they are superior. Every Muslim I have ever known believe in free will, they believe that murder is the greatest sin.
Christians take their moral value from secular enlightenment. Things like democracy, freedom of speech, universal human rights and gender equality were fought over and added to our culture centuries ago.
Doing this is much more difficult for Muslims that are almost always nice people, but inherited a religion straight out of the middle ages.
*shirk is the greatest sin, murder is up there as well
@@FranFerioli I don’t think many would agree with that, Christianity still holds a lot of sexist views, doesn’t agree with all human rights and freedom of speech until it’s something they don’t like
@@ssadieekendrick5910 Indeed: Christianity is sexist and historically showed little regard for human rights and freedom of speech. But most Christians cherish these values! Even Trump supporters keep talking about freedom and the very secular US Constitution.
It's a paradox because those values do not come from Christianity (and every improvement was opposed by religion)-
Wow. I don't think I've ever seen a more moving dissection of one's life
