I just bought the enduro comp !! Compared to the giant reign and nukeproof mega this bike is hands down a class above the rest you guys gotta test ride one given the opportunity. Imo one of the best enduro bikes on the market!!
As you get more travel, typically rear end stability is what you want to come along with it, so CS towards the 450mm range start to become more common - with this much travel, a very steep actual seat tube angle, and lower main pivot location, it feels quite similar to some of the much shorter CS designs (thinking of stuff like Kona P153's) more than the longer versions
@@tehllama42 I understand why rear ends have been getting longer in recent years, but even now what are some enduro bikes with 450mm 'stays? I don't think it's accurate to call 442mm short when most comparable bikes seem to be around 435mm and some are even quite a bit shorter than that (e.g. the Kona you mentioned at 425mm).
@@mattschirle My best bet is that Ryan's response would be something to the tune of 'bikes are more than one individual measurement on the geometry sheet' - since the biggest effect of those shorter chainstays is a bike that rotates back over the rear axle more happily, and initiates drifts more readily, if they've achieved that through other means then it'll have that feel, but with the straight-line stability of more wheelbase
ripmo has a higher shock point = higher center of mass= less stable and it lacks the same sus characteristics it also has a messier triangle due to the shock position so putting it on a car rack can be more difficult due to less space in teh front frame thingy it also lacks a swat downtube for your pump and spare or snacks and a headset multitube and teh enduros linkage is the same as the demo, which is what loic bruni has and he is really fast, not that the bike is the only thing that makes you fast, but that is what he rides but i mean the ibis probably has something good, they can come in a evol x2 and fox 38 and teh enduro has that as well but it only has 160 front 147 back while the enduro has 170mm 170mm teh enduro has a 64.3 head tube angle and the ripmo has a 64.9 the ripmo has a 76 and the enduro has a 76 seat tube the enduro has a 442 and the ripmo a 435 chainstay, which can lead to more pedal efficiency, but on bikes with pushed out wheelbase and short chainstays, the bike can feel unstable and unbalanced also the pricing tiers of the enduro are more balanced among spec, increasing by about 1500$ per level, while the ripmo goes from around 5000$ for most available builds and then jumps to 10999$ for the top, whilst the top enduro is 10,025$ and it says s-works on it, if your into fancy things that pretty much say i have money "$-works"
Who the hell wants a bike with so much antisquat the shock lever becomes pointless? The video you did on the Slayer you hit the nail on the head, people don't want massive antisquat in a long travel bike. Just use the damn compression lever.
GRPABT1 I’ve got a 2.5 in my 150 no worries, and I did such a huck to flat on it I cracked my DHX2 shock body and a rim, and the frame is still solid as. Whilst no doubt Yeti do have some questionable warranty history etc, my 150 has blown my mind. Having said that, I’d been to have a go on this Enduro 👍
Sounds like a commercial written by the Specialized marketing team.. This video offered zero value to me (and I am actually interested int he bike). Total turn off.
I've been on the new enduro since September I can tell u 100% that it climbs better than my 2018 enduro or 2019 Stumpjumper. have nothing but good things to say about this bike.
Haha yeah I just demoed this bike today. Its insanely good on descent, probably the best enduro bike I rode. But it really isn't a good climber....like not at all...
Its good on the big hits, but the new Enduro absoulutely sucks on typical european natural and unmaintained singletrail. In fact all of these enduro and super enduro bikes do. They are just becoming too big.
It might make you ride like Matt Hunter in a straight like haha but this brawler can't corner worth a crap compared to many other bikes in its category

Where can i skip the commercial?
Haha

This video also has that annoying high pitched sound at 1:40. It's always on the riding shots. I think maybe on of your mics is broken.
you got me there XD...looks awesome, but gone are those iconic cross braces in the front triangle
I also miss those crossed braces
So 442mm chainstays are "pretty short" now? Isn't that about as long as they get in this category outside of Pole's lineup?

Who wants tiny short chainstays in a race bike?
So does that mean you'll be out on a solo (except for the grizzly bears) two day ride-adventure through the Canadian wilderness like Matt Hunter?
Is it as good as the Ripmo?
doopy noo not s chance
Much better

Is this a Specialized commercial video?
I am not sure about what I am watching now.
More ringing at around 1:43. I’m still confused on what causes this.
Looks like a SC megatower?
To be fair, the Megatower is a ripoff of the Nomad. They even copied the brand name letter for letter. Is there no shame?
Loving these blogvertisements.
You should watch Peter McKinnon's channel then, he does 20min+ ones without disclosing anything
Thank you Specialized 👍💰

And wouldn't it be nice to have a lever on the bar for that? So convenient.
Compared to a Ripmo, how does it pedal and climb?
Not as well
So how does it compare to the likes of the Megatower, Ripmo, etc. Comparing it to Stumpy is a pretty low bar given how lackluster the Stumpy 29 is.
Is that rear shock just a mud collector?
Mud deflector
Seems like Race Face got some new knee protection coming, right? Awesome!
Where are these trails?
This is the first Specialized bike I actually want to buy. And I normally dislike specialized bikes.
Is there some protection for that rear shock? I remember cringing looking at the early 2000s stumpys shock position.
Now let's see matty miles on it.
S-works are realy best bikes in this galaxy! Love it!!
I am just about to buy new bike. Can you please compare to new 2020 Rocky Mountain Slayer? Both seems to me great bikes and you like them.
The Slayer is better.
Done.
better than a SB150???
A complete sales pitch, if you can always test ride first
Well if it fits a 2.5" tyres and doesn't snap in half then I suppose it is.
GRPABT1 I’ve got a 2.5 in my 150 no worries, and I did such a huck to flat on it I cracked my DHX2 shock body and a rim, and the frame is still solid as. @@benny360 I want an SB150 badly, but I can't trust them. They dropped the ball big time with this latest lot of bikes.
Yeah Matt!

This Bike is fantastic
2021 enduro evo zero degree head tube angle
sounds like less monster truck and more rally car or trophy truck
How much did specialized pay for this ad?
Funny, because every single review ive seen says it climbs like garbage.
I own one and it does climb better then the stumpjumper
I've been on the new enduro since September I can tell u 100% that it climbs better than my 2018 enduro or 2019 Stumpjumper. have nothing but good things to say about this bike.
I hate that. The first Bible which is not an independent review but sponsor add.
😂😂😂! Love the ending! 👍🏻
Only review that's says this can climb 🙄🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣
Well there's a slo mo of the suspension while he's climbing, and it's not moving. What more do you want?
Haha yeah I just demoed this bike today. Its insanely good on descent, probably the best enduro bike I rode. But it really isn't a good climber....like not at all...
I just bought a 2020 enduro and this bike pedal better than my 2019 stumpjumper
@@carlosagonzalez3394 i rode it too and i can confirm this! i mean, you can 'feel' the weight of the bike but it does climb very good!
Well the bar wasn't very high there, the Stumpy 29 handles like a barge and is legendary for pedal wallow.
Finally a specialized bike that I actually would think about buying😅
@@michaellee8226 to late. I bought a megatower instead & it rocks🤘🏾
_ yea right he is the milkman with a camera . nice line great feature film . can i please ride a new enduro now , please . 🛎🐒 .
Pedals better than the stumpjumper? I need to get a hold of one of these. Who needs a liver? Only $10000
For a guy that loves short travel 29er's... he's a little smitten w/ this plough 🤐
So this is the Megatower S-Works, the Spec-Cruz?
Buy this bike and you will be a better bicycle rider, probably become professional enduro racer overnight 🙄.
Its good on the big hits, but the new Enduro absoulutely sucks on typical european natural and unmaintained singletrail. In fact all of these enduro and super enduro bikes do. They are just becoming too big.
Its just another bike, it will not make you faster.
hhahahaha nice one
Who the fook is Matt Hunter?
You can't be serious.
Paid for advertising
🚴♀️One like = one mountain biker🚴♂️
Matt who?
No 27.5..don’t care.
I'm getting the new 28.25 wheels.
Another nomad wannabe?
Doubtful
Bullshit bike.
It might make you ride like Matt Hunter in a straight like haha but this brawler can't corner worth a crap compared to many other bikes in its category
Damn this is some corny content.
