Miami only has that 5.2 million mid-level exception, which is too low to trade for Demar derozan. the only way they would be able to get him on the team is if they offload one of their larger contracts to another team to create salary space. another report that came out yesterday was that the Miami Heat has offered Caleb Martin a contract worth about 12 million per season. a contract like that would put the Miami Heat over the second apron luxury tax, which would completely hamper them for the season. is the Miami Heat looking to go into the second apron for a player like Caleb Martin? Scary Terry will be an All Star. He used to only be a scorer but he transformed into an elite playmaker as well. Start Duncan Robinson and have Jaquez and Herro be the primary guys off the bench.

Ernest, Tyler is ALWAYS playing with a chip on his shoulder. He’s injury prone. Instead of tryna get a big fish we need to focus on cleaning up our books. Get rid of Tyler. Get like a Buddy Hield. That’s what we need to do. Run it with that team. If you think about it Terry played* pretty consistent until he got hurt. I’d rather run with our rookies than run with Tyler.
I’m with you on that move Herro get somebody for a 1yr rental and make moves next offseason but cleaning up our books should be number 1 priority

Its not that we didnt get mitchell, but that I think we didnt even try to get mitchell. And Pat did make indications saying hed be fine keeping it the way it is. You can say IF Healthy every year but they are never healthy so it wont happen so that means this team is not good enough and will be aplay in team again at this rate while other teams keep improving, the front office has not managed our assets well enough and its frustrating. I will say this and will say this everytime I can, NBA Teams do not win championships unless you are the NUMBER 1 seed, 52 of the last 78 champs were the 1 seed, this Heat roster has no shot at being a 1 seed, 76 out of the last 78 champs were either seeds 1 2 or 3, The heat will not be a top 3 seed this next year unless we make a big trade. SO based on historic data this team is a long shot to be contenders.
