For everyone asking, this a-hole finally finished the followup to this vid after an outrageous and unforgivable delay: ua-cam.com/video/-lt6eciYsTw/v-deo.html
The Long Take Just finished watching Part 1 and I think you did a pretty good job of analyzing the Philosophy of SW and the representation of good & evil. the way that you were talking about how the no-mans-land of the grey area between the light and dark sides was defined as a struggle that can cause agony made me think about something from the teaser trailer for episode 8 that we got at SW celebration. Luke tells Rey to reach out and tell him what she sees. "Light. Darkness. The balance." To which Luke replies "It's so much bigger." this makes me wonder if SW canon is going to explore this grey area between the dark and the light. And in the expanded universe there are examples of beings trying to exist balancing the light and the dark without straying to far in either direction, the biggest example of this would be the Je'daii from the Dawn of the Jedi era (c. 50,000 years BBY). These Je'daii strive to maintain the balance between the both the dark and the light side and have the ability to control both not just one or the other. another example of this in the EU is Darth Revan. during the mandalorian wars he was a Jedi who fought, as a general in the republic, to protect people from the warlike Mandalorians. he later turned to the dark side and fought against the Jedi and the Republic before returning to the light side and destroying his Sith Comrads. In the book "Revan" which takes place after the aforementioned events, Darth Revan, while being a Jedi, is shown to be able to call upon both the Light and Dark sides of the Force simultaneously, a feat which should be impossible for anyone who is grounded in either the light or dark sides. Whew, sorry for the long comment. your video just got me thinking about the different moral dilemmas and other things present in SW. hope you have good rest of your day.
Dude I'm bummed about it too, lol. I haven't even had any time to even come through here and respond to people, let alone work on the vids. I'm taking a trip tomorrow and I'll use some of that time to start writing Part 2, I promise!
The Long Take personally I think the morality is that different between the two franchises ( Star Trek and Star Wars) I just think they deal with two different spheres of morality ( external/ and internal) Star Wars is all about internal conflict illustrated by external conflict. when Luke battles Darth Vader in The Empire Strikes Back he's not fighting his father he's fighting his own lust for power represented in his father. this is why in his vision he kills Darth Vader only to find it himself under the mask. dark Vader is Luke's Shadow Self. Star Wars deals with emotions feelings and ( hate anger fear compassion) the villains in Star Wars are more than just characters themselves if they are representations of these things this is why every conflict between light and dark must end in a duel not because Star Wars just trying to say that every moral conflict must be settled by violence but because there are conflicts represents our own conflict with our darker emotions (hate fear anger). Star Trek on the other hand deals with the external. how do we apply our ideals to real world situations where are the path before us is unclear. this is why there are a lot more shades of grey in Star Trek it deals with the external morality (actions) which have more complex consequences then internal choices. this is also why Star Wars deals with the idea of Temptation where is you don't see this very often in Star Trek. to put it in simple terms Star Trek is about doing what is right and that the problems involved in that( external). whereas Star Wars deals with choosing what is right (internal) these are not in conflict with one another.
Star Wars is not sci-fi. It's a hero's journey fantasy in space. Star Trek is sci-fi, and more specifically highly idealistic sci-fi. Comparing them is like comparing Star Trek with Lord of the Rings.
JimmyDThing actually I would say Star Trek is very loosely science-fiction. make no mistake I love Star Trek, but as far as science fiction goes it's a hit and miss. on one side you have great ideas like cell phones and Dark Matter engines, on the other you have magic machines that can just appear things out of thin air ( yet for some reason I only used to make food and eating utensils), and teleporting machines that for some reason never work, Holograms that are smarter then humans and can interact with physical things( somehow) yet aren't mass-produced to replace the crew. when it comes down to it I would say that Star Wars is a Epic Fantasy set in space, star track is mainly a western set in space with a few science fiction ideas. ( let me say it again that I am not saying anything bad about either of them both of them have science fiction elements but mainly more in Star Trek and Star Wars but neither is primarily science fiction).
Yeah, they regularly ignored him and edged him out while he was alive and outright cut him out when the franchise was popular enough for people not to care. And then when they got him out they pissed on his creation.
Hey just wanted to encourage you. I've shared this with a movie group I run on FB and quite a few people enjoyed it; I'm encouraging those with accounts to comment and like. Anxiously awaiting pt2; keep up the good work!
Relax people. "The LONG Take" says it in the name. Long quality essays take a LONG time. Dude is not being paid and I've seen too many quality content producers flee UA-cam because pressures from subscribers. So relax and let him enjoy his creative outlet in his own time. That said, CAN'T WAIT😊
Thank you, thank you for concisely articulating what's been buzzing about my head for months, maybe even years now. I am a fan of both Star Wars and Star Trek (however, Trek got to me first -- engineer dad what can I say?) and each of these franchises holds a special place in what makes me.. me. As a voracious reader, I've found the Trek novels and series books easier to access what makes Trek's approach to these themes unique in it's own brand of storytelling. Although I adore the original TV series and The Next Generation is my favorite of them all. I can't wait for part two, keep up the great work!
+THEButterFingerBatMan I figured more people would stumble onto by now. But I don't really try to push these videos on forums or anything, so it's not like I'm really helping it get noticed :/
+The Long Take It's unfortunate that these videos don't get more attention. I can only imagine what you'd do with classics like Jaws or Castaway. Anyways, stoked for part 2.
You seriously need more subs, man. Your videos are so well produced and thought out and overall just awesome. Keep up the good work dude, love your stuff!!!
Awesome analysis! You make a whole lot of sense, and this has put our beloved Star Wars universe in a new perspective for me - thank you for that! In addition, the video is well put together with a good pace ... and I enjoy listening to your narration. Looking very much forward to part 2!
Thank you! I'm going to start writing the follow up soon -- and it's well timed, as I'm currently re-watching all of Deep Space Nine. I just wish I had more time for these things!
+Céline .S. Sauvé Yes, although down the line I might make another video on either franchise (or a specific film from them) touching on a different aspect.
I am so close to finishing my Aliens essay, man, it is KILLING ME how things keep getting in the way. End of the month, come hell or high water, it will be uploaded!
Wow, a very interesting POV on Star Wars. Honestly, a lot of what was brought up would never have even occurred to me. I can't wait to see Part 2,as I'm also a big Trekkie fan! :D
I wish I could help out in a non-monetary sense. You need more attention from others. Your breakdown of cinema and views are quite interesting and thought provoking.
+Alex Ruddies Just give it a share, every little bit helps! If I had the time, I'd go finding a bunch of forums and advertising myself, but I have so much on my plate right now that I barely have time to put these things together in the first place. I'm glad I have an audience at all, honestly, and subscribers that put up with the long wait between vids.
Very well done, I find the questions you raise to be most interesting. Take your time, I find this topic fascinating, so I want you to form your thoughts thoroughly.
That was great! I can't wait for part two. You did a very interesting review of a Sci-Fi franchise that I love and would like to see your comparison to Star Trek, interesting and a fresh take on my favorite scene from the best Star Wars film. I noticed the same features and qualities after you mentioned them in this vid. Looking forward to part two :), keep it up m8, great job!
Damn, that was one of the best film essay's I've seen in a while. Please, make part two soon! I'm already waiting for the continuation of Twin Peaks, Westworld, Doctor Who, and Rick and Morty. I'm not sure I can take much more. ;) One thing that has always troubled me about Star Wars is not just the overt violence of the Jedi (like in the cantina scene you reference), but the callousness with which they abuse children: The entire tragedy could have been avoided had the order simply sent someone back to Tatooine at the end of Epsiode 1 and freed Anakin's mother. Whether in the original trilogy or the prequels, Obi-Wan is an absolutely irresponsible and deeply unempathic paternal figure. In the animated television series and official Star Wars comics, the Jedi have no qualms about sending teenage padawans into war zones and onto battlefields and shouldering them with the burdon of command. If you think about it, the accelerated aging of the clones means that most of the clone soldiers may look like they are in their mid-twenties, but according to official timelines they are really 10-12 year old boys. Of course father-son conflicts permeate the entire saga from the very beginning, much more so than in Star Trek (with similar themes in the stories of Wesley Crusher, Jake Sisko, Spock, the new Kirk and most of all, I think, Nog) and so the role of children is much more relevant. Also, there are great films about children or teenagers suffering great adversity and struggling through their way towards adulthood, from Stand By Me to Moonlight. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something deeply masochistic baked into the DNA of the Star Wars films that troubles me almost as much as it does in, say, O.S. Card's novel "Ender's Game". Of course, it appears that in the new trilogy, with Kylo and Rey, the chickens may have come home to roost. Perhaps the galaxy has to foot the bill for generations of child soldiers and child abandonment.
Damn. This vid was made 6 years ago and I’m seeing for the first time now. Where the hell??? That said, what an incredible breakdown of the Luke/Vader scene. I was glued to the screen. The rest of the video was equally impressive. At least I don’t have to wait for part 2.
Hi, Long Take. I'm gonna sub to you, since you are someone who only has quality uploads. Don't take it as pressure for new content, rather as appreciation for what already exists.
as a (former, maybe, ahahah) fan of star wars, and as a great fan of star trek, it looks to me that the best reason for me to love star trek is described talking about star wars :D this is not a critic to star wars, it's just my point of view. Live long and prosper
83nuvola I'm a fan of them both Star Wars deals more with internal morality ( resisting the pull of Darker emotions hate fear anger) where as Star Trek deals with external morality ( what actions are the right thing in complex situation where the moral path is unclear). to put it simply Star Wars is about choosing the right thing Star Trek is about doing the right thing. this is why Star Wars and every moral dispute with combat. not because it's suggesting that violence it's a good way to decide who is right, but because the villains are not just characters themselves but the darker aspects of our heroes and us. when Luke fights Darth Vader he's not fighting his father he's fighting his own lust for power represented by his father. hence the vision in the cave where he kills Darth Vader only to find himself under the mask. the physical fight represents the internal conflict within Luke. Star Trek dealing with external morality ( actions rather than emotions and feelings and thoughts like in Star Wars) do a lot more in negotiation rather than violence because usually moral action is to negotiate rather than to fight people we come into this agreement with. but in Star Wars the villains aren't people or at least not just people their representations analogies of the dark side itself which is our own darker emotions ( fear hate anger). so naturally Our Heroes react differently.
This is a good examination of Star Wars and as much as it pains me to say because I can't stand them, you are right about the prequels, no matter how base their attempts to establish a theme were. Looking forward to part two.
7:17 Lightsabers used to sever limbs and spew blood and gore. The "New" Lightsabers cauterize even a whole Sith torso 2:10 (there is a small blood flash, but none on Obione or the set). 10:58 No blood here, I guess the old one Obione had was low on battery. LOL 14:48 This beheading would be leave a jagged wound and slice a piece of throat off as well, quite gory and lots of blood.
Hey I just watched your Godzilla/Gojira review, and it was awesome. It reminded me of this video that is also very well done. Anyway, I think 11 months is long enough time to ask... where's part 2? Keep up the good work!
Great video! New subscriber here. Maybe after you review Star Wars & Star Trek it would be interesting to see your essay comparison on the MCU & DCEU. Keep up with the great content!
I'm constantly amazed that no one ever seems to reference the shift in Luke's color pallet across the original trilogy, from a virginal white in ANH, to gray in Empire, and finally to black in Return -- effectively taking his father's place, by donning his uniform, while ending Return on an even and level plane....Thematically, it's practically a flashing neon sign.
Aren't there like a thousand other articles and videos on the internet talking about things like Luke's color palette and lightsaber change, the Nazi imagery of the Empire, the Kurosawa and The Dam Busters references, etc.? I thought that stuff was like Star Wars 101.
I have been thinking about that, but at the moment I'm so busy that I'm not sure I'd be able to deliver. Hell I'm struggling to finish my next video because things keep interrupting me. I don't want to be the kind of guy taking people's money and still being slow as heck in uploading content. But thanks for watching, man! And I can guarantee a new vid next month when I return from a trip I'm taking.
13:24 Young Annikan HAS a racing pod. He can buy his own, or his mom's freedom with it? But he stays a slave. -- Sell your speeder and join the rebellion-- , oh wait that was a different movie...
2:49 "... films primarily interested in entertaining their audience do so by affirming their cultural values, rather than questioning them. The simplest way to figure out what those values are, particularly those pertaining to morality, is to look at the heroes and ask: What makes them the good guys?"
Isn't this like comparing Game Of Thrones to Black Mirror? I'm sure there is stuff that can be compared there (a pretty bleak view of human nature, if nothing else), but what's the real connection?
Awesome video dude. As a hardcore Star Wars fan it really bothers me that the prequels are used to point out the contradictions in the franchise. Those movies were created by a Jaded and uninspired Lucas. The original trilogy was an awesome anomaly created by multiple people and circumstance. Roddenberry had his shit together as far as a vision so Trek has more of a clear moral sense. Glad to see a fan compare the two in a fun positive way rather than imply one is better than the other. May the live long a prosper be with you.
Mickey Ace I wouldn't say that one more ality is clearer than the other I would say however that Star Wars deals mainly with internal morality ( thoughts emotions feelings look like hate compassion, fear, selflessness). which is why it appears to be much more black and white. Star Trek on the other hand deals with external morality which is how thoughts feelings, are expressed in the external world through action. it deals left Less with what's right and more on how to apply what's right in a complex situation we're morel lines are uncertain. which is why they deal with more shades of grey. internal morality is more clear few of us would argue that hate is more moral then love however we've all felt the pull of hatred in our heart as what we know is right conflicts what the dark part of us wants. this is why Star Wars puts so much more focus on temptation then Star Trek. one is focused on figuring out what is right and do it,( external), the other on choosing what is right ( internal)
It may seem crazy but I think that a case can be made to say that Star Trek and Star Wars are in the same universe with Star Trek being first and after some kind of galactic war then comes Star Wars. I also think that Trek is very steeped in military and Wars in religion. Anyway just some random thoughts excellent video and I'm waiting for part two.
Anakin, had confusion in him as a child when he wanted to leave with Qui-Gon to become a jedi or to stay with his mother. He later returned to find his mother freed than married followed by finding his mother dead by the tusken radiers. The changing relationship between Obi-Wan and Palpatine. Loosing the other main woman in his life. Giving into temption which Luke avoids . Anakin becomes Vader and looses everything until he is redeemed by Luke.
When Yoda says "there is no why'' he does not simply mean that they have made the choice to believe in something and are now unburdened by philosophical doubt. He means that you will have an understanding which completely transcends conventional thought. You will know beyond doubt what is and what is not. Essentially what he is telling him is that some things simply are, eternally, transcendent and can only be grasped by embodying them because the WHY is infinite. Simply setting down and thinking about the situation is just not enough to comprehend or convey such knowledge. It is a completely superior understanding of the universe and a concept that George Lucas reused from ancient religions. Think about how you know something when you are dreaming. In your dreams you never have to ask why. You just simply know without having to reason.
Compelling I like both of them but I lean more to Star Wars and Star Trek. overall I think Star Trek has more thought-provoking themes, well as Star Wars has more Universal themes. both are good in my opinion my preference for Star Wars is more of a personal taste.
I looked up the word Hypocrite it said it's a synonym for 'The Sisko'. Excuse me while I try to recover from the derisive laughter that a Starfleet Officer would never endanger a civilian. Anyone who believes that I have a Bridge in Frisco I'd like to sell them.
I love these videos but when I try to share them in Google+ communities people complain because they have spoilers. . are they nuts, everyone has seen these tv shows and films, spoiler alert the good guys win! Great videos I wish people would try before they cry.
I'm hooked and Sub. Great review. If you " Believe " in the Supernatural/ Para Normal, In ' Empire Strikes Back,' Lukus didn't really ' Know ' what he was doing. " The Story " wanted to tell it's Self. Unseen spirit guilds channel their story through Lukus and the movie's Art Department to display the Great Tale Of Ages.
Very interesting man. I've always been facinated withe the philosophical messages behind Star Wars, and more recently Star Trek, and I thank for making this video! I do believe in Christ, and his crucifixion and resurrection, and do my best to follow and obey, as I wholly believe the Holy Trinity is the true triune-God and creator of our world and existence, and can relate and pull lot from these series' in terms of how to live out my faith and how the enemy and his minions scheme to thwart the plans of God or "good", although never to they prevail. I appreciate your perspective and deep consideration my friend, keep up the good work
i saw ROUGE ONE it was so awesome the moive how the people made the movie and the last scene epic so epic I am a big fan of star wars like see them in order
My take on the differences between the two is this; Star Wars is sci-fantasy a combination of Arthurian Legends and bad Shakespeare. Star Wars is real sci-f. It is a story set in a time that explores what humanity could be.
the best lightsaber duel is the one between obi wan and anakin in the prequels. the violence is only there to express conflict. it doesn't mean violence in a real sense. in reality it could be an argument.
Asoka did the right thing. Grey Jedi are the only ones who seem to get it. The universe isn't light or dark, but both. Balance...Yoda was the real reason for the downfall of the Order.
"Empire has the best lightsaber duel" I actually gotta go with "Return of the Jedi" if we're going by intensity of the fight on an emotional and character level as well as choreography. I also think that you're ignoring the complexity, and not just simplicity, through the ending of Luke's journey. Also, how do you know Vader's promises are empty? With how much the films delve into the motif of family, it could be a twisted version of Vader trying to have some form of family again. Also, I'd recommend "Are the Prequels Secretly Brilliant" to understand how the movies actually showcase the problems of the Jedi order that Luke manages to advance, especially with the idea of "certain points of view" as the main spine to the overarching narrative. The whole point is the reveal of philosophical doubt and resolve the conflict between the two.
Return better than Empire? Blasphemy! ;) Though - for all their obvious and pretty indisputable massive flaws - I am also somewhat on the "Are the Prequels Secretly Brilliant" side. My favourity way to watch them is the Machete Cut, with the additional conceit of imagining that the prequels are Force-Ghost Obi-Wan's telling of the past to wounded Luke. Thus the wooden performances, the colourful detailled brilliance and still somewhat hollowness, and the near incomprehensible love story make sense "from a certain point of view": We have an old man fondly if not always accurately reminiscing about the good old days and his exploits as a war hero, giving a somewhat stilted narration, and attempting to explain something he never truly understood himself - how Anakin could throw it all way. He may have a vague grasp on what happened between Padme and Anakin, but doesn't really get it, and thus, of course, can't tell that part very convincingly. :P
Star Trek franchise have a lot of hot beauties never seen in Star Wars Saga.... Marina Sirtis as Deanna Troi, Sherry Jackson as Android Andrea, Nichelle Nichols and Zoey Saldana as Uhura, Gates McFadden as Beverly Crusher, Denise Crosby as Tasha Yar, Michelle Forbes as Ro Laren, Diana Muldaur as Katherine Pulaski, Nana Visitor as Kira Nerys, Terry Farrell as Jadzia Dax, Nicole de Boer as Ezri Dax, Jeri Ryan as 7 of 9, Jolene King Blalock as T'Pol, Beth Toussaint as Ishara Yar, Famke Jensen as Kamala, Ashley Judd as Robin Lefler, Kirstie Alley as Saavik, Kate Mulgrew as Cpt. Janeway, Sofia Boutella as Jaylah, Alice Eve as Carol Marcus, Sonequa Martin Green as Michael Burnan, Michelle Yeho as Filippa Georgiu, Tasia Valenza as T'Shanik, Darlena Tejeiro as S.T. 2009 Flight Officer, etc, etc, etc..... In comparation Star Wars girls are Orcs. By other side Star Trek is more clean Hygienic and ordered environment. Star Wars people seem like living in a garbage dump......
EXCELLENT!!! 'Just sent a link to a philosophy prof friend who's taught such classes as "The Ethics of Star Trek", or, something like that more than once here at The University of Oklahoma, and done public talks. I've long maintained that Star Wars is more popular than Star Trek because the former participates in the messianic belief system of probably the majority of Americans, whereas the latter takes us where medieval thinking has never gone before, and can't. Due much I think to the very successful anti-intellect social control needs of the present powers that be, secular humanism is not the present majority belief system, science is often regarded as beneath religious faith. Naturally (as it were) such denizens will prefer the confirmation of their reality druthers. Oops... I did condescend... Well, "Demon Haunted World", etc. And yes, I'm hitting the "subscribe" right after the "comment". Because, Bravo.

Except "Lord of the Rings" doesn't have "star" in the title. Duh.
Star Trek is an adventure series hiding behind technobabble.
No, Star Trek is soft sci-fi about the exploration of the universe and technology through human relationships.

Your analysis was amazing, please keep making more videos!!
Wow, a very interesting POV on Star Wars. Honestly, a lot of what was brought up would never have even occurred to me. I can't wait to see Part 2,as I'm also a big Trekkie fan! :D
Beautiful. Well-considered. Can't wait for the next installment.
Please make part two .
Interesting, waiting for part 2!
I have to say I never thought about it this way. Incredible !
this really is one of the best Star Wars videos on YT. It's unfortunate that this channel appears to be dead.
Looking forward to part 2!!!
Oh look, my favourite two franchises in one video. Cool.
please make part two.
Still waiting for part 2
The reason Star Wars is not sci-fi, but is fantasy, is one key story ingredient...*magic*.
Love this! Can't wait for Part II
Nice video where is pt2?
Damn, that was one of the best film essay's I've seen in a while. Please, make part two soon! I'm already waiting for the continuation of Twin Peaks, Westworld, Doctor Who, and Rick and Morty. I'm not sure I can take much more. ;)
One thing that has always troubled me about Star Wars is not just the overt violence of the Jedi (like in the cantina scene you reference), but the callousness with which they abuse children: The entire tragedy could have been avoided had the order simply sent someone back to Tatooine at the end of Epsiode 1 and freed Anakin's mother.
At least I don’t have to wait for part 2.
instant fan! love what you are doing!!! keep it up!
You have a good point, muse and stance. I count your viewpoint and editing among my own skills.
Hi, Long Take. I'm gonna sub to you, since you are someone who only has quality uploads. Don't take it as pressure for new content, rather as appreciation for what already exists.
Do part II!
Waiting for part 2
When is part 2 coming out?
I'm trying so desperately to write it right now--today, in fact--but I have so many other things to work on!
as a (former, maybe, ahahah) fan of star wars, and as a great fan of star trek, it looks to me that the best reason for me to love star trek is described talking about star wars :D this is not a critic to star wars, it's just my point of view. Live long and prosper
83nuvola
I'm a fan of them both Star Wars deals more with internal morality ( resisting the pull of Darker emotions hate fear anger)
where as Star Trek deals with external morality ( what actions are the right thing in complex situation where the moral path is unclear).
to put it simply Star Wars is about choosing the right thing
Star Trek is about doing the right thing.
this is why Star Wars and every moral dispute with combat. not because it's suggesting that violence it's a good way to decide who is right, but because the villains are not just characters themselves but the darker aspects of our heroes and us. when Luke fights Darth Vader he's not fighting his father he's fighting his own lust for power represented by his father. hence the vision in the cave where he kills Darth Vader only to find himself under the mask. the physical fight represents the internal conflict within Luke.
Is there a part 2?
It'd be interesting to see another part with the new versions of Trek and Wars to come out since 2016
When's part 2?
This is a good examination of Star Wars and as much as it pains me to say because I can't stand them, you are right about the prequels, no matter how base their attempts to establish a theme were. Looking forward to part two.
Dude, make Pt 2 please...
Great job. ? The Force Energy. High or Low ground would not matter because of power and Age but would be a balance?
Wow !!!!! This analisys is amazing, I'm see the anothers videos and is cool, very good.
It's simple:
Star Wars : Unrealistic Space Opera (Films)
Star Trek : Possible Reality Based Future Space (Tv Shows and Films)
well done, this is very watchable
it was interesting about the jedi but you didn't say one thing about trek
If you can read, you can see that the title says part 1...
How's 23 minutes of Star Trek blather sound to you? ua-cam.com/video/-lt6eciYsTw/v-deo.html
This is awesome! Great job.
And Star Trek?
Right here: ua-cam.com/video/-lt6eciYsTw/v-deo.html
where's part two????
Wait a minute. You sound like..
UR GEORGE LUCAS AREN'T YOU
Underrated comment. Didnt even notice.
You can't just have us wait for 10 months for a 15 minute sequel.
Excellent analysis!
In my opinion looking towards past ideals is a key component to the fantasy genre
Are you thinking about creating a Patreon? I will support you, also, love your videos!
Thank you for this! Totally subscribed!
I like both but I've always been more of a Trek fan than a Wars fan.
Sooooooo, where's Part 2?
Compelling
I like both of them but I lean more to Star Wars and Star Trek. overall I think Star Trek has more thought-provoking themes, well as Star Wars has more Universal themes. both are good in my opinion my preference for Star Wars is more of a personal taste.
WHERE IS PART 2?!?! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME!??! D:
awesome video!!!
Its a great job, you made me think in watching Star treak now
Its different without Jaba isn't it? Chaos reigns. I was on vacation in carbonite when I found out.
I looked up the word Hypocrite it said it's a synonym for 'The Sisko'.
Excuse me while I try to recover from the derisive laughter that a Starfleet Officer would never endanger a civilian. Anyone who believes that I have a Bridge in Frisco I'd like to sell them.
I think you just can't compare them cause there are very different. I also like both of them.
Star trek is about looking for answers to our questions in the future.
Star wars is about questioning the answers we think we have in the past
I love these videos but when I try to share them in Google+ communities people complain because they have spoilers. . are they nuts, everyone has seen these tv shows and films, spoiler alert the good guys win! Great videos I wish people would try before they cry.
I also put a spoiler alert at the very beginning so I dunno what people are crying about, lol
I appreciate your perspective and deep consideration my friend, keep up the good work
Anakin breaks the ways of the code his love for Pad'me causes him tremendous pain both mentally and physically.
Part 2 ya... one year later.
i saw ROUGE ONE it was so awesome the moive how the people made the movie and the last scene epic so epic I am a big fan of star wars like see them in order
They're pretty different from each other I don't know people need to compare them.
"Empire has the best lightsaber duel"
I actually gotta go with "Return of the Jedi" if we're going by intensity of the fight on an emotional and character level as well as choreography.
Blasphemy! ;)
Though - for all their obvious and pretty indisputable massive flaws - I am also somewhat on the "Are the Prequels Secretly Brilliant" side.
Star Wars people seem like living in a garbage dump......
i still want Trek Wars crossover
Only took 1 year!
I never got why people compare them there very different story wise probably because there the two big space epics
The best duels are from the Prequel Era.
