From personal experience and advice from one of the trio challenge runners, the farther you are, the less you have to aim up, and vice versa. Try your best to use your bayonet at its max range, and then adjust to where the melee pokes. I find it most consistent to aim at the top of the head while barely getting into range. You will find yourself needing to adjust upward more if the zombies are closer to you.

they play with community everyday, i played with em yesterday they showed us new armors and weapons

How can you hit headshots with the bayonet so consistently? I have tried it in my private server and i cant even hit them at your speed.
