Have you ever seen a whole band so taken in the music in the moment, they could have played for a billion people or nobody and it would still have been that good. This is something so special and we are so lucky to be able to appreciate purely talented musicians like these...
Talking heads have similar energy but that is the only one that comes to mind.
Well it certainly helps that they are, in fact, playing to a ton of people. It would be pretty weird to get 40 people to dress up and wear weird face paint and play bongo drums and shit if they were playing to a dive bar crowd.

My most persistent memory from this show - at one point a huge dance circle formed, at the edge of it I noticed some guy was pissing in a cup. As the chorus hit the circle suddenly collapsed, he had a look of "eh fuck it" on his face and enthusiastically flung the cup up in the air, showering everyone nearby with piss as he disappeared into the crowd.

Haha I went to a music festival in my 20s n all my dancing mates started to form a circle so I was like cool I’ll join in then I head this “Ah fuck you just pissed on my leg” - basically my mates were formed a circle so one of my female mates could hike her skirt up n piss standing coz there was no way to the toilet through the crowd 😂

I'm listen now american 50's, 60's, 70's...
I'm not a great listener music but Arcade fire seems for me to be the link of this old generation of heart singers and bands... This energy that was loss in 80's and 90's by all the drogue cultures and the deviated sub influence secret industry mixed with the music industry...
I dont say that 50's to 70's were clean out of dark side cultures but the music was more deep and personal than industrialised music of 80's and 90's... and 2000's It was pretty much the same.
2010's... Maybe because there are less money to do but the music industries seem more open for new artists or do some kind of regional idol music talents...
