I like these 2 so much more as friends than as a couple, i love Brooke, and the truth is that Lucas kept on hurting her and could never fully let her in, she loved him more than he loved her, Brooke desvered nothing but the Best and she got that with Julian, who BTW stood up to both of her parents something that Lucas never did.
To be fair, Lucas never really met her parents but if he did he would have 100% stood up to them. Because in season 3, he was starting to become someone who deserved to be with Brooke.
It wasn't that. They divorced irl that cause the whole plot to change eventually. It was ridiculous. If their personal lived wouldn't have come in between then then Brooke and Lucas would actually have ended up together. :(

How can ANYONE including Leyton fans deny that Brucas should have been end game after this scene. I mean just look at the chemistry between them. Lucas could have gone to Peyton but he went to Brooke. Because let's face it you always seek out the people you love when conflicted. Lol, but having chemistry doesn't make an good couple and BL pretty much lacked everything that makes an couple work (like trust, honesty, loyalty, etc..). They lacked the long term comparability to make as a couple (just like Jeyton) and one little scene of Lucas opening up to her doesn't the change that fact that he never did that when they were dating. How was Brooke done a disservice by not ending up with Luke, a guy who constantly cheated on her with her best friend, never put her feelings first, & broke her heart so bad that years later she still wasn't over it & as much as I love Luke, Brooke breaking up with him was by far the smartest thing she ever did. I wouldn't say that they ended up together just because of the divorce. They were too many signs in S3 that showed they were going to fall apart to think the divorce changed an endgame.
FUTKieran I don't think it did because signs of their relationship started the episode after they got back together. Chophia played a bigger part in BL happening in S2/3 IMO since 2.10 came way more out of nowhere than 4.01 ever did.

I'm very happy with the way the writers took things. I think Lucas and Peyton belonged together and that was evident in every season . Brooke was just 'fun' too Lucas , but 'true love ' is what Lucas felt in Peyton , and hence he told her in season 4, she was the one.& one day he realised that the one he wanted by his side , when all his dreams came true, was PEYTON! He was always her saviour! And they leave the show together after marrying and having a baby together! It's perfect ;) I was just sad that Peyton and Lucas wasn't at Brooke and Julian's wedding . They should of been there for that !! No way would they of missed it in my mind !

yes. but that all changed when chopia started dating... and getting married. So they changed the story line... yeahh i know it was going to be a movie.. but who cares that didnt end up happening.

I'm very happy with the way the writers took things. I think Lucas and Peyton belonged together and that was evident in every season . Brooke was just 'fun' too Lucas , but 'true love ' is what Lucas felt in Peyton , and hence he told her in season 4, she was the one.& one day he realised that the one he wanted by his side , when all his dreams came true, was PEYTON! He was always her saviour! And they leave the show together after marrying and having a baby together!
It's perfect ;) I was just sad that Peyton and Lucas wasn't at Brooke and Julian's wedding . They should of been there for that !! No way would they of missed it in my mind !

I knw I'm late but had to reply. It's been so many yrs, yet everyone still loves Brooke and Lucas. They were the best couple couple on oth and were supposed to be together but because of Chad's cheating in real life, the story had to be changed. Sophia didn't want to do love scenes with him, that's why they had to brk up. Hilary has said in intws that Brooke/Lucas were supposed to be the endgame but because of the divorce, they changed the story. It's sad they had to do that. BL have amazing chemistry with so much of heat, passion. Brooke brought out his mysterious side and he always had a big smile on his face when he was with her. She was the love of his life. They had love and admiration whenever they looked at each other. They had the chemistry of a 'ever after couple' and lp look like brother- sister. Chad screwed up such a beautiful show. Wish someone makes a movie where they have a happy ending.
