Love your video and how small you are able to keep your tree! Mine is soooo tall and only has a few branches, so I’m thinking about taking cuttings and starting over (if possible). Can you give me some pruning tips to make it more bushy? Thanks so much!😊

@@jaygee3326 Hi Jay, Yeah they do take off in spring and summer. They grow very fast! I only planted mine mid last year, and we had so many berries on it! I have mine in a pot at the moment, but I'm going to try to find a place to plant it in the ground, they REALLY take off then! (like most things do) The guy I got mine off planted his in the ground the same time I planted mine in the pot, and his is literally twice the size of mine (4 mtrs tall and about 2 mtrs wide, compaired to 2 mtrs tall and about 1mtr wide in the pot). ;D

@@Fuzzinutt hey again, that is awsome! I came by this plant by accident on youtube and have since watched almost every video containing it 😂
Id love to grow it in the ground but we are renting were we live so im trying to keep most of mu fruit trees and plants in large containers so when we move they can come with us.
I might get a second one and plant it at my parents place, not sure how happy with will be when it grows that large though haha!
Ive put mine in the largest pot i could find (50cm) they had a even larger pot but once put in that its impossible to move or carry lol!

we call them "capulines " or "puam" here in México these is a native tree, some give yellow fruits and others give the red ones..during the colony of New Spain it was sent to Philipines. I have a big tree in my yard actually, never water it but still keeps giving fruit like crazy lol
The little fruit has a lor of nutricional and medical properties , was used by mexican indigenous since long ago

Did you ever attempt? They are actually simple.Just sprinkle on moist soil and put in a zip lock baggy. put in sunny location.Within about 2 weeks you will start to see some seedling..I am zone 6 ,, they are patio tropical which means it is not winter hardy like its sister plant which is also called a strawberry tree which is cold hardy. These will need to be brought in winter..I am currently addicted to growing them from seeds.
