@@Drag0n_Bolt What's really sad is that both the song and Opening animation where so good. Yet, the series itself was a pale in comparison. I love the series, but I can admit as an adult now that it was not all that great. I still listen to this banger nearly every month on repeat, though. XD

If I gave the show a rating it be 3.5\5 because one time I caught a completed marathon of the show ,and I was just cringing at it. Going oh dear gosh my younger self had terrible taste. But modern day self I still had nostalgia towards it.
Its funny that the show is getting recognition now a days. I remember trying to describe it to friends back in middle and highschool in the late 2000s and they thought I was crazy. I usually lost them at "sonics green younger brother who played drums".

@@MariosPOS I don't know man, I was getting some epic heavy metal it sounds out of that. Like Manila Road but not as good, so I thought heavy metal would be the best way to describe it.

the second to last episode, im sure she revealed herself to the three saying how proud she was or something.
I deffo remember her from afar watching over them. Theres one episode where she saved the daughter, and she is all "mother? It was mother that saved me!" And the three were searching for her. Robotnik was following them, to track her down. In the end it turned out to be a random woman in a red cape, they all seperate, then their mother thanks the woman for lying to her kids with the green seeing creature saying its still too soon.

Something from 1999 that didn’t have enough viewership to continue production gets a fan-made remaster of the theme 21 years after the show’s debut and still gets half a million people to listen
I mean people knock on it for multiple reasons but in the long run this show got made when Sega was like "make a new show!" after SATAM was sacked. They basically retooled elements from that show and made a new one, while Sega was doing the redesigns for Sonic Adventure 1-2. It also got pushed into crappy timeslots.
I really wish it had been completed though. Jaleel White voicing the entire central 3 hedgehogs was pretty great (and amusing).

A lot of critics hate this show because the Sonic triplets idea sounds like a fanfic or some shit idk, but imo it's still a masterpiece.
What I don't like is that they decided to have Jaleel White, while reprising Sonic, voice Sonia and Manic too, I don't know why they thought that was a good idea. Albeit, he did a good job making them sound different, but they could've easily cast Tress MacNeille (Dot/Daisy Duck) for Sonia and Townsend Coleman (Michaelangelo) for Manic, that would've been honest to God PERFECT

Yeah the main problem was that it was marketed as a musical series, instead of being more serious like SatAM, and that other official Sonic characters like Tails were not included.
Yea I do like the show tho. I was so confused/surprised when I found out he voiced all of them.

Sonic Underground (1/6th/1999 - 5/23rd/1999) -
I currently have volumes 1 & 2 of this series on dvd made by Shout! Factory.
Lasted for 1 Season, 40 Episodes, 40 songs in total then the show ended up being cancelled in the late 1990's era before it was completed due to low popularity, budget & ratings but still think it's an awesome show & it needs to make a season two comeback with thrilling new episodes for an epic finale so that the royal hedgehog trio of sonic, manic & sonia can be reunited with their long-lost mother Queen Aleena to fulfill the prophecy of the council of four & finally defeating robotink to restore peace on planet mobius & have a real true ending of this animated series.
7. 3 / out of 10 is the rating I'm giving to this criminally underrated show.
There were supposed to be 65 episodes of this series but unfortunately 40 was actually produced at the very beginning.
This show deserves a lot more attention along with Sonic SatAm - (9/18th/1993 - 12/3rd/1994) that debut on 6-ABC Saturday Mornings then it re-surfaced & re-aired on the USA Network's Action Extreme Team Block around 6/1997 until 1/1998.
As a kid, I had like, dozens of DVDs of the Super Mario Bros Super show, and for the longest time, my only exposure to Sonic underground was the theme song in the previews on those DVDs.

I really wish they'd bring this back. Like even just do an hour long special just to conclude the story and let find Aleena. I'd be content with that, i don't even need a whole season just a special hour episode to conclude the story.
I REALLY want this guy to sing "Empire Of The Clouds" or any Iron Maiden songs for that matter.

@@ConnorXcrash i wasn't born until 2002 but I definitely feel more connected with stuff from the 90's and early 2000's, I love the music and the clothes that people wore in the 90's up until the early 2000's, and like the grungy outfits and skateboarding and shit it was probably some of the most emo, rebellious, and angry times for teens and young adults. Damn I just realized I think the kids my age were some of the last that know how to use VHS tapes, hell my baby brother who is 8 years younger than me doesn't even know what one looks like, plus I actually miss the shows and stuff that we're really popular at the time when I was little too

I remember clicking on this show cause i was bored and it was a sort of throwaway thing to try and alleviate my boredom until something else came out only for me to be hit by a show that not only tackles some pretty dark and insightful themes but also had a song that slapped harder than my dads belt after a night of drinking.

I remember listening to this from the TV as a kid and I'd jump and jam around to this song all day, it's all my parents heard from the TV cause it would play every time a new episode was on.
I used to love this show, but the songs very depressing to me, because no one deserves to be separated from their own mother, and I lost mine 4 years ago before the lockdown, and I still miss her to this day.
