This video podcast episode is a one-on-one coaching session with voice-over audio engineer Lenny B. and voice-over artist Julie OConnell. This episode is one of several real-life marketing coaching sessions based on the training course called Modern Synergy Marketing For Voice-Over.
In this video, we first discuss the acoustic treatment for Julie's recently remodeled studio. She decided to purchase acoustic panels from GIK Acoustics instead of making panels herself, and we discussed a free online acoustic treatment planner tool. We discussed acoustic panel thickness and how it makes a massive difference in the amount (and frequency) of sound the panel can absorb. Then, we debated acoustic panel placement, combining different types of acoustic treatment, and how sound travels in her studio. Then, we shifted our conversation to SEO (Search Engine Optimization). The subject was initially complicated, but Julie found it simple once she went through the course and felt much less intimidated. We begin to develop Julie's marketing content concepts and ideas. We discussed why it works to attract ideal clients and how it becomes effective. Then, we finish by talking about being vulnerable on camera and comfortable with creating videos.
