Today's video shows how to make a goan sweet made from channa dal. This sweet is known as Doce and popularly made in Goa during Christmas or during weddings by the Christian community. It's a vegetarian and a vegan recipe made from chickpea lentils or channa dal, fresh coconut and sugar.
So Here's the recipe from my kitchen to yours.
Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbs is tablespoon
Ingredients:
1 cup or 250 gms chickpea lentils or
channa Dal
2 cups sugar
2 cups fresh grated coconut
1.5 cup water
1/4 Tsp salt
2 tsp ghee
1 tsp cardamom powder
Ghee for greasing
water for soaking dal
1/4 tsp salt while cooking dal
