I absolutely love how you do not rush your shot. I know we may not see the ones that go badly, but I can tell you try to give the pest a clean instant dispatch. I have seen in your other videos that you will pass on a shot if it cannot be a clean shot. Kudos to you Sir.
Thanks John. I get a bit of criticism for being slow to take shots, but I don't like to pull the trigger unless I expect it to end in a clean kill. Thanks for watching. Mat
Hi Matt love your videos . I have 2 Daystate’s an older X2 12ft and a FAC Huntsman regal . Both great rifles. Unfortunately the gun shops in my area don’t deal with Daystate any more because they tell me that Daystate aren’t the company they once where . I would love to get a Huntsmen revere . Shame .
Great shooting Matt😊I think you have helped me make my mind up. My next rifle is the RM8😊cheers buddy good health to you and happy and safe hunting😊regards😊thanks for upload😊👍👍
Hi Mat. And yet another great and informative video. Can you please tell me what the huge ir torch you were using with your slpex. It looked very good. Thank you.
Wicked Light from Scott Country. It's a bit of a beast but works brilliantly - I use it on minimal output for this sort of shooting. Thanks for watching. Mat
@@theshootingshow Thank you for the info, Mat. Keep up the good work! I refer people to your channel all the time. Especially any sub-12 stuff. Seems like Americans always want more and you allow me to show them it's not needed!
Great shooting Matt. The Daystate is a cracking looking gun, but why no sling studs fitted ? I would be terrified to try and fit them myself for fear of damaging the stock.
Thank you for another excellent video Matt, never miss them. There is one thing, any chance you could quote Imperial weights too when doing your reviews ? Am probably not alone to appreciate this if you could do it. Cheers 😁
Hi Nick. I'd love to include imperial measurements but I struggle to remember all the facts and figures as it is. I tend to do more in-depth reviews of the guns featured on the show in Airgun World magazine - and they include imperial measurements. Wolverine is in the Summer issue - coming out very soon. There's a subscription discount offer in the show description. Thanks for watching. Mat
I see you are running a Dolphin Gun Company Bipod! I have been looking for a Ranger 2, but I'm struggling to find one. Have they been replaced by the Ultralight that you are using Matt?
Matt ive hw95 with a 3-9x50 scope ide like to try some night shooting could you do a video or recommend a set-up for those on a budget thankyou very much. thomas
I have used 940nm quite a lot, and never found it to make a huge difference. I think the main factor here as that there are two of us out, and we often need to talk to each other off-camera. It certainly adds to the challenge... Thanks for watching. Mat
Where is the stippeling in the grooves for? Why is it not where it should be? In front of the grooves and underside whole the way up to the polymer.....I don't want a gun for it's fancy look but i want a good grip. I will never buy a gun like that for that price with such stupidities and tralala on it. A hunter will never design a gun that way, only bank rest and tripod shooters can do that 😂
@@reservedone1791 His point was the poor design... nothing about his ability to afford the gun. Looks like you may need to have a chat and a cuddle and a good look at yourself...
Agree - it's a weird one... I'd hope to have some grip there, the only thing I can think of is that it may be 'soft touch' which is grippy? Probably not, as I'd assume Matt woudl have mentioned it.

...NICE...especially your warning about the ticks...my mother probably died of Lyme`s disease...thank you!!!
It's important to make people aware of it. It made my cousin terribly ill for a very long time.
Thanks for watching. Mat
Sub 12 , reasonably priced, well done Matt .
It's a brilliant gun - not just for the money but in its own right.
All the best. Mat
Man that is some fine shooting. Great video.
Thank you. It is all quite close-range - but I like to get in close for my shots.
All the best. Mat
I use to have the walther and it was a good little rifle..nice to see it in action again.. great video again..
I really like it. Brilliant gun.

I'm 100% hooked on this channel... Thank you for such great content!
Yes it's a shame it's not a weekly
Glad you're enjoying it.
Thanks for tuning in. Mat
Good stuff as usual. Great bunny session, like that Wolverine.
Thanks Pete. Great to see bunnies making a comeback - they're rocketing in some parts of my locality now.
Cheers. Mat
Great to see a reasonably priced pcp put to use
👍👍👍👍👍
We do our best to include a wide range of gear.

Really enjoyed that one! Cheers Matt, great stuff. :D
Thanks. Glad you liked it.

I certainly haven't noticed any decline in Daystate. I have the Huntsman Revere (Safari edition) and it's brilliant.
Thanks for watching. Mat
Great shooting and video as always Matt 💥👍💥

another top video matt..

What about the illumination? That's a very large flashlight you've got mounted there!
It's an infrared light. Invisible to the naked eye and only visible because they filmed with an IR camera.
@@reservedone1791 I knew that. Just wondering make and model so that I can look into getting one for my rig! ;)

Fair point.

I’ve had the alpex 4K for a while and didn’t know you could remove the front lens cap it’s annoying and keeps opening in transit
Hey Matt - how quiet is the gear? It looks like a good option esp at this time of year!
The RM8 is pretty quiet - quieter than it sounds in this video, actually. Great little gun.
Thanks for watching. Mat
Well done Matt, … those shots of 💥yours pulverized the rabbits to the extent that they didn’t convulse much afterwards.
Yes. I was very close and landing shots bang in the right place.

What gloves are you wearing matt? I often see them and forget too ask. So many options but a lot are really bulky
I wear Macwet gloves - the long cuff version.

Hi matt does your scope have rangefinder built in
Would love them to do a MK5is
What light are u using with the alpex looking for a light that would do for alpex 4k lrf on a 17hmr and a 223
I'm using the Wicked Lamp from Scott Country. It's great - I use it on lowest output for this kind of shooting.

Those rabbits were all aware of your huge IR...maybe for those ranges a 940nm ir would spook them less Matt 🤔

Why so much nonsense about grip, your cupping the gun, not throwing it like a javelin. Daft comment mate, it’s a superb rifle.
I’ve got a wolverine r and have no trouble with your so called slipping! I’ve got a pair of macwet gloves that give ample amounts of grip
