By far my favorite part! You not only analyze the person at the start but society after and it's always the same story, people demand removing rights from people who never did anything wrong, they blame the parents, everything and everyone but the person who did it. They literally give inanimate objects superpowers and talk as if the object did it but they don't ever do that for anything else, whenever someone drives drunk and crashes you don't hear a demand for alcohol or cars to be outlawed because they accept that a person is the one in the wrong, blaming booze and/or cars would just be silly. The DEA asked Pablo Escobar, "how do we get people to stop making and shipping coke north?" He replied, "stop the demand, until that happens someone will always fill it." It's the same idea here, firearms haven't changed much in the last 75 years yet this is a relatively new phenomenon, if it was just a firearms issue, this would have been a problem all the way back in the 60s and 70s but it wasn't. I compare it to illegal substances because those are completely illegal (or only available via prescriptions that tend to be hard to get and are illegal to sell) yet it's all flooding into the country consistently enough for people to develop a physical dependence which takes at least a month of daily use. Laws mean nothing, they're an illusion to make scared housewives feel safe and think something is being done but the reality is that little Johnny can go to the streets and they serve him, sell him a 9 with a switch, whatever he can afford. I had a friend who was from a good home and by 16 he was an IV opioid user with a .38 special, all against the law but he had money so somebody met that demand, it's sadly that simple.
Half my graduating class isn't here anymore, I'm the first one who wishes that more laws worked but they don't, laws only impact law abiding citizens. Stop the demand, stop this video from being an option in someone's twisted mind cuz you're not going to stop it through more laws. If that worked, the opioid epidemic would have been over when they took out pill mills. Instead, people just went to the streets for a similar poison in a different package, nothing changed and things actually got more dangerous because they were no longer getting items made in a pharmaceutical grade lab. There's over 400 million firearms in America, if you think more laws are going to get rid of them you're tripping but if they hypothetically did, what makes you think they wouldn't just come in through the border in the same way everything else that's illegal and not made in America does? It's 6am on Christmas Eve and if I wanted dope, all I'd have to do is drive 20 mins into the city and I'd have people stepping over each other to sell to me. Those same people could get me a full auto AK in under an hour, as long as I've got the cash, they've got the product...

With these types of things going on, it seems it would be wise to have some kind of a way to protect yourself and your family.
It's a good thing though that a majority of these incidents don't take place with random people. They usually happen to those who are caught up in things that most of us wouldn't be involved with but when they do, it's always a good thing to be prepared.
Anybody not carrying daily hasn't been paying close enough attention! When seconds count, police are minutes away and all life is far too valuable to trust anybody but you will protect it! I doubt I'll ever be in a situation where I'll need to draw down on anybody but I also doubt I'll ever have my house catch fire, I'm still keeping my smoke detectors up and fire extinguishers around though, just in case... Always better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!
