Unfortunately RD Burman used Rafi only sparingly and mainly for those songs which he knew that no other singer could do justice to. In this particular song, no one else could have sung such high notes so beautifully.
Even though he never openly admitted it, the great musician in RD Burman understood very well that Rafi was the greatest singer ever.

R.D Burman the genius...wish could have used the voice of the great Kishore...the male part wld hd reached to another level as thats the talent of Kishore when he performed same song sung by various artists.
