I have a whole new level of appreciation for your channel now. I came for a quick-witted van builder. Now I’m loving the calm, historical, architectural knowledge sharing. I grew up in Stone Mountain, GA and I want to road trip around savannah to see all the old oak and Spanish moss and peep some historical homes🤓❤️
Casey, I hope people who love travel docs will find your channel as your new videos are really great. I watched many of your van conversion videos, which were a bit funky, but your professionalism is really shining through in your travels. Thanks so much!
Again, you have touched my soul with this vlog. I actually got tears when I started to first hear your story. Your tours are so so refreshing and wonderful. I have always wanted to visit the south but have felt a little uneasy about it. (I am Mexican American and I have to been to other states or towns that were not always so welcoming) I absolutely love history, architecture... as I have mentioned, so I know I will make it out there someday. Excellent vlog! You are truly a class act! BTW Love love the boyscout pictures
Casey, I loved this video!! You are a great narrator, and I hear from the comments, a good photographer as well! How the heck do I find your photography so I can see for myself? I love your grit, honesty, videography, and, oh, lest I forget, your sensational, sarcastic wit! Thanks for putting together this wonderful video of this beautiful small town. I loved it. Can’t wait to get on the road myself. I have a beautiful, renovated Airstream. Cheers Casey! Stay safe, and keep the stories coming!!🙂💕
@@jamesmorrow8061 I'm trying to to get behind which has turned into a daily vlog...which is quickly wearing me out. Its almost 2am and I'm still editing.
Casey, thank you for sharing the Dubois park pavilion with us last night and the kind words about Bluffton and BSA Troop 241. I am also from NJ and this is a special little town. We all love it here. The Troop will follow your journey and look forward to your adventures! Sincerely, Dino Vicaro Troop 241 Committee Chairman
Fellow Jersey girl here. ( love those Cape May Gingerbread houses 😊) Years ago I did a memorable solo car trip from TX through the South: MS, AL, GA, SC, NC, VA, MD, DE to NJ...you know the ‘Mason-Dixon Line’ goes through NJ. Thank you for reacquainting me with some lovely cities and introducing me to new gems.
Dino Vicaro thank you for your dedication to BSA. I’m honored to be the parent of 2 Eagles both with Bronze & Gold Palms. Scouting has been fundamental to successfully raising our family because of people like you.
Bluffton is my home town, sadly Bluffton is growing in a way the town people don’t always like, two many storage systems and such, etc. Old town Bluffton still has its heart warming feel! Especially the old church!
Couple of random thoughts on your Bluffton adventure.... The narration is working great. Maybe the technical difficulties with your mic have exposed another great way to communicate. I really love the blue colors in Jacob’s pottery... So beautiful. Sad about the lack of the pay it forward notes and card at the coffee shop. We have done the same thing at the drive through at Starbucks and other restaurants. The book arch was very cool. Great way to enter a bookstore. The scouts gave you your first group photo on your trip, although they didn’t give you the retirement home salute did they LOL.
Funny story....when we took that photo they used MY phone and facing us was the giant middle finger phone holder the retirement home gifted me. I was mortified. But...you get what you get!
Your values are awesome and much needed in today's Corporate plastic world . So enjoying your videos way up here in western Canada . You will always have the memories of your friend:( You're doing a amazing job this is truly your calling , I predict you will get subs rapidly.....shared!!!! Stay safe
Casey you have a gift. Your narration of your videos is so awesome. Sorry about your friend passing. Sometimes life will hit you with a bunch of bad stuff at once. It can be overwhelming. It's to bad the new owners had to take down the cards. They probably have no clue what something like that meant to people. All they care about is making money. I bet the smell from all those oyster shells was bad. It make me wonder what went through the first person mind when they seen an oyster and opened it up and said "hey that snot looks really good to eat".
I am just enjoying your video's so much Casey. Old memories and new memories sometimes that's all we have but to be cherished. Beautiful town thank you for sharing
Beautiful, beautiful photos Casey. I have no doubt that as the word gets out about your photography that you will be making enough money to stay on the road as long as you wish. You could become a full-time Nomad if that is your choice of Lifestyle.
Love the little towns that your going to! Thanks for sharing them, it's making me want to not be one of the Charleston tourists and wander more to experience other coastal areas in SC.
Sorry about your friend. Nice to be able to bring up the memories of her. What a great little town! Thank you once again for letting us experience your travels!
It's great to revisit places like this with new perspective...last time for you was after a break up...this time as a reporter,of sorts.each time is different.. I can't believe someone let you go...I think you are a gem.
You hate to hear that “you can never go back” because you can but rarely is it ever the same. But I do enjoy going back with you on your many adventures, here hoping you help us find that silver lining along the way!
I truly believe no one is truly gone . That is until the last person that had known them is gone. I have lost great friends over the years. I remember them all. Every damn day. . Enjoying this at 5:30 am with a cup of tea. Cheers
You're reminding me of Huell Howser. He was a guy that had a show called California's Gold and he would get off the beaten path and find these fantastic gems in our state just like you're doing! You're onto something great here!
I’ve never been to Bluffton before but it’s now a priority of mine to go there. I always try to see the towns around me but we tend to miss so much these days. Your videos have really helped to inspire me to go out into my community and explore.
Ahh, small town America! My favorite is to visit the small grocery stores, just to see what they stock (and maybe buy something while I'm there). If you ever get to central Oregon, be sure to drop by the Camp Sherman store.
Oysters literally cure heartbreak as they are super high in DHA (Omega 3). Which make your mitochondria kick ass. Our hearts, brains, and liver are filled with mitochondria and most of us have extremely poor mitochondrial health.
"New Management" is not synonymous with "Knows Best." How unfortunate... I'm glad the rest of the town still had healing charm for you even if the coffee shop went the way of starbucks.
What a great place thanks for sharing. I'm in southern California and this evening I'll be taking a group of people to the mission San Juan Capistrano it was built in 1776 it's one of 16 missions here
I love your small town tours. Too bad about the coffee shop taking down all the notes. Your videos blow away the venlifers videos. Look forward to more videos.
regarding change and how we should embrace it.. this is the "side" on that double-edged sword that i don't like. hope you understand what i mean. change is good, but not always. great video. no. beautiful video. you are a gem. i wish i had some of your talents. you are gifted. LBH.
I want side boob and yoga pants! Jk. This was your best video yet. The reporter/journalist really shined through on this one. I felt like I was really there. You got something here...
Not crazy about oysters or coffee(sorry) but could spend hrs in a bookstore. Another good video. Will check it out when finally get on the road someday ( 3 yrs tops).

I love how you find the joy in the communities you visit, and mourn the loss of it's character.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I just love love love your videos and snarkt quick wit. I look forward to seeing your travels and listening to a small forgotten piece of history.
Another lovely video! Thanks.
Luv Bluffton

I think a lot of people have ideas about the South - I did, I'm from New Jersey. But you will not meet friendlier people here. I love it.
What an awesome blessing for you & now for me as well. Thanks honey-great video again! Safe travels

Thank you, Casey. Another very heart warming tour of a lovely town on the other side of the world that I’d otherwise never even have heard about.

Thanks for showing me what I am missing in the state that I live. I live in Hanahan, South Carolina (very close to Charleston).
Been there!

I had to watch this one twice. Fantastic 👍👌
Loved the door handles of the coffee shop😍. Ur photography is also stunning! When/if U get done with traveling: U should open a studio😍

Scroll back a video I did a whole video addressing these topics

Yet another great tour filled with beauty, history and life's lessons! " Look Up" reminder hit home for me, thank you!
Great audio🤪- you got this young lady!
May your friend rest in peace with all the love you obviously had for her. These little towns are amazing.

Interesting that these houses in Bluffton don’t have the blue porch ceilings like in Charleston and other coastal towns.
Different style of architecture. The Carolina Farm House and the Queen Anne are in the same region but different influences.
You're reminding me of Huell Howser. He was a guy that had a show called California's Gold and he would get off the beaten path and find these fantastic gems in our state just like you're doing! You're onto something great here!

This town looks so beautiful .. It's to bad the coffee shop changed
I could so see you in a boutique or some type of business right here in Bluffton.❤
Truly heart warming video except for the missing letters. Glad you put your memory of them in your video. ✌️❤️👍
Pearls of beauty off the beaten path. I'm very moved by the stories of these small towns and the people who live in them.
Is the rain nice to hear on the roof of your van? I love going upstairs and hearing it on my roof.
Its CRAZY loud

Don't shop at hobby lobby, they support horrible policies.
