I heard this version almost 40 years ago but I never caught the name of the symphony that played it. I've searched for years but couldn't find it. Some were close but not the one I heard and I gave up. But finally, I found it!! When the violins start to rise as the piece approaches the end, something inside me soars along with them. No other version does that to me. The sweetest dream I ever had was of me playing this on a violin. I can still remember it clearly - the violin tucked against my neck, under the side of my face, eyes closed, bow moving across the strings, playing this. I can still feel the upwelling in my heart as I played. The dream feels as strong now as it did when I awoke those many years ago!
The beautiful thing about dreams my friend, is that for every today & tomorrow that we're Blessed to awaken to? So too, can a dream come true as you pick a violin... Whether it's for the very first time or the hundredth time... ...and whether it be a group lesson or private lesson? That upwelling in your heart can be awoken again and again as you pick up a violin and play even if a little piece of Pachelbel's Canon (in D MAJOR of course)... And perhaps the piece you play? Will be that very ending you spoke of... ...that very piece, as it approaches the end... What a sweet Dream indeed. And even sweeter as it absolutely can still come true. Best wishes... 🎻🎻🎻🎻 🌠🌠🌠🌠

This is the version that was played on our wedding 10 years ago. I recognized it right away after a few seconds of listening which brings back memories of the event and the first time I ever heard it on that day. Thank you, Johann Pachelbel and London Symphony Orchestra. Also thank you very much Kettle Alessi for posting this on YT.
The melody celebrates people who have come a long way and who at the same time have a long way still to go. Most fitting thus for wedding ceremonies, a masterpiece.
I started to love classical music like that and I swear I would love to marry my beautiful princess Taty exactly like Pachelbel. Impossible not to cry with emotion!
My dad introduced me to this piece when I was about 14 (I am now a grandma), long before its mainstream popularity, and I have cherished it ever since. My dad is now in the throes of Alzheimers and doesn't know me, so this piece is especially precious to me.
Sue, for me this was the piece that made me want to learn to play the piano. Now I'm a father ready to teach my daughters how to play and I'm starting with this piece. Hearing your story made me cry.

First time I have heard this piece from the London Symphony Orchestra. They can take any classical piece and truly exemplify its grace and elegance through minor details which are often overlooked and simply omitted even by the original composer. By far my favorite version of this transcendent classic
My dad passed away this past week and as I listen to this piece it’s comforting to picture him being ushered through the gates of paradise to reunite with my mom. No more suffering or pain or stress. Cancer is a bitch.
Grandissima esecuzione della London Simphony Orchestra del bellissimo e regale Canon di Johan Pachelbel, una composizione ariosa e magnifica; interprete del più bel romanticismo.
First one hit wonder of the world and probably most coverd bye around 100 times in Pop and Rock. If Bedingung coverd says anything about quality than this song is top.

Without a doubt, this is the defining version of this song. My favorite single recording ever
There is something fundamentally wrong with people who give such beautiful classical music a thumbs down. Whoever you are, I don't want to know you.
