What better way to spend my time in recovery than binging on some Bubba Roundtree Outdoors. 👍🏾
Hope and pray Ms. Joann is not having trouble with her treatments. She seems to be such a sweet lady. As someone who cancer tryed to take I know it is a battle. Peace and love to both of you and your family.
Thanks John! She's doing great brother! She is a sweetheart for sure...
Mr, Wade just checking in, Hoping you and miss Joann are doing well, Y'all are good people and everyone I know is praying hard for y'all
thanks so much!! we are doing well! Ms Jo Ann is in the middle of treatments and doing very well! you folks are awesome and we are blessed... 😁
Been waiting to see this video haha. I’ve still got 200 slugs I’ve made from that foster mold. Glad you’re finally getting some use from it!
LOL!! I love it brother Will!! I got some loaded up and ready to head to the range! That will be in part 2...
I use the 12 gauge pellet slug for 12 and 16 gauge and the 20 gauge pellet slug for 20 and 24 gauge. They’re one of the best slugs in the whole game. I’m not much of a slug guy myself but they are a lot of fun to shoot.
About 15 year's ago at a gun show,I found a old police model 870 wing master 12 ga, beautiful wood and someone had put a B-SQUARE saddle mount on it and a Simmons scope, and to my surprise was sighted in at 100 yards the old 870's were only chambered for 2&3/4" shells smooth bore barrel, but using old Winchester and Remington pumpkin ball slugs I bet I've killed 30 deer with that old shotgun and no telling how many hogs,I have the new savage bolt action slug guns and with rifled slugs them things are capable of 400 yards like it's nothing, But I'm going to try your slug Data in the wingmaster I use your buckshot Data and it's the best around hands down
That 870 is prolly 1 of the best shotguns ever made! I still love mine!
I have an 870 Wing master also with a saddle mount and a 3x9 x40 Simmons scope on it. It will shoot touching groups at 100. What makes mine special is that mine has the 24" smooth bore slugger barrel. I just inherited another one in 20ga with it's slugger barrel with rifled sights that was my Dad's, who passed away 2 February's ago. He killed more deer with that 20 and either Breneke or Federal slugs than I can count. It now rounds out my collection as I also have a 16ga that my Dad got me for Christmas 3 years ago. Also the Remington Ilion NY plant is 2 miles from my house.
Praying for you and your wife brother. For anyone who knows about what cancer can do. They also know it is a long road in the recovery process. i enjoyed the video. I can se how it would be calming to do.
Thanks my brother... Jo is doing great!! All of the prayers touch our hearts for sure!! You guys are awesome...
Thoughts and prayers are with ms Joann on her treatments
Thanks Ken!!
.690 round ball, your 1- 9 load rocks. Miss Piggy can't tote it. Thanks for the info.
Good to hear you going to be getting in the woods Wade good luck 🦌🇺🇲
*LEE 7/8 core pin in the 1 ounce mold block might make an interesting heavier, slightly longer or taller & thicker wall, thicker nose slug. Plainly, slightly stouter in every dimension. That reconfiguration will not be likely to make appearance in the published manuals or recipe books.*
Thanks for the nice vid. I prefer pure lead with just a bit of tin added. Wheel weights are saved for bullets that benefit/require a harder bullet.
I loved it!! I do love the 525's a lot...... and thanks to you Wade, I have load data for them... I do not know what I like better.... a plastic wad or a fiber wad load. They both do well..
I got some hot ones put together to shoot at the range! That will be in part 2!
Great video Sir! Oddly satisfying. Repeated actions like reloading are meditative to me. I like your casting setup. Keep up the hard work!
loading is therapy for me Ira!! I love it...
Praying for mrs. Joann
I have and love the 12 gauge Lee 1oz key Drive slug, the 12 gauge Lyman Pellet sabot, and Lee 00 buck mold.
I'm having issue with my Lyman 20 gauge pellet sabot slug. I have a MEC 600 sluger....been trying the Winchester universal 2 3/4 hull with universal powered and a down range wad which is a clone of the WAA20 wad. Everything fits nice.......just can't get the slugger press to put a good roll crimp on it.
I don't have any experience with the slugger yet! i would love to get 1 to review next year... I get great finished roll crimps with the 20 ga Gaep rollers.
Your it's not in UA-cam money I really respect what you are doing
keep up the good work Sir, we sincerely appreciate everything you do!
Well I got a hold of a new 7/8 Foster slug mold pretty cheap. I was wondering what pot you would recommend? I do plan on getting the 525 pellet slug mold. But I couldn't pass up the price I got this one for. Besides the 7/8 will give me training on how to cast and also setting up to make some hobo slugs😊
I had to buy that melting pot after seeing Wade use it, much better than hand pouring.
love hearing the chickens
Praying for you and your family
Good luck Ms. Joann.
I do feel your pain they discontinued the 12s3 also thank goodness for Claybuster they make the clone of the 12s3. You probably knew that but that is the first wad I ever loaded, in my part of the country factory loads were almost exclusively Federal and still most of my pick up empties are Federal. I load birdshot, buckshot, or slugs using the 12s3. Love the info in your videos thank you.
Amen and thank God for Claybuster!!
Thanks Wade.
Wade, would love to see your take on loading for the BPI RSS-12 and .50cal slug. Would make a great series. Starting from casting the slugs all the way to the range. Not a lot of data available that I would trust.
Parabéns pelo trabalho, ficou melhor que muitos fabricantes aqui em Brasil
i would love it if you could film a pig hunt with those slugs
I use 12 gauge 3 inch magnum rotweil slugs. The rotweil slugs are german made slugs and they are deadly accurate and kick like a mule. If that butt of the gun isn't tight against that shoulder they will bruise the heck out of you.
i was looking at the mp 525 gr mold it looks like a identical to the lyman 525 gr mold could you use the load data form the lyman manual for the mp mold
How you load the Lyman foster slug for accuracy.
Great stuff, Wade!
thanks my friend!
Where can I get what I need to make buckshot and what would kind of price range would I be looking at?
Do you have any videos of you reloading the 20 gauge slug it out 2 3/4
Yes I did at 1 time but UA-cam removed it! I am working on 1 that maybe if I'm very careful I might be able to re-upload one.
I have a brand new rifled slug barrel for a Mossberg 500 . I've had around for years . I'd like to see some load info on these.🇺🇲🇺🇲👍👍🙏🙏
this is an older 1 but a good 1 Larry: ua-cam.com/video/TU3ESQl2-io/v-deo.html
I got one of those Lyman 525 molds for 12ga. Ive been watching your videos but cant find - what is your favorite load for them?
this 1 may help: ua-cam.com/video/Ix-fYpjdV9Q/v-deo.html
I have the Lyman 20ga foster, I have then stick on the pin. what do I need to do
I like the Moly spray! That seems to work best for me Chester. I used to treat everything with Graphite but the Moly seems to work better and lasts longer between treatments. Wade
Are those foster slugs full bore slugs or do you need to put those in a wad.
Full bore.
Here in Missouri no dogs no buckshot.
Yep! That's the deal in a bunch of states Bob... These things will put the hurt on a whitetail for sure!
Hey Wade how have you been brother how's your hunting season going ? I'd love to learn how to do that it looks fun but in hind sight is a huge money saver pouring your own bullets prayers to miss JoAnn and your family may it be blessed an bountiful
You never save money reloading, you just get to shoot more.
Thanks so much brother Jonathon! Jo is doing great! If we can just keep the deer moving in the daylight at the lease because I need to get some doe meat in the freezer!!
@@BubbaRountreeOutdoors Brother I know that's right same here don't even care about a rack lol just as long as there's meat in the freezer
Wanting to get started casting slugs. But can't afford to buy molds to pick one. Just to buy one. Which one would you suggest is the best slug?
the Lyman 525 is a great performer!
@@BubbaRountreeOutdoors thank you I am looking into that one now. The hulls I have are the green hull Fiocchi tundra 2 3/4. And long shot powder. I have used these hulls loading lots of the old Slugs R Us Hammerhead slugs and they work great. I have found a recipe that calls for Longshot powder but uses the Cheddite hull. Would it be safe to just substitute the hulls?
@@ronaldbritton9705 yes, the Fiocchi will work fine!
Are you shooting smooth boar or rifled barrel?
I shoot thru a smoothbore and a rifled choke tube. both work well!! I have a video of the range segment coming up soon Jeff!
👍👍
Are those rifle slugs
