I grew up in murrieta and the stories I would hear about this place were crazy I always said when I grow up I’ll try and explore it but I moved before I got old enough:(
That structure near the mill was an old schoolhouse. It was built in the 1880s but burned down sometime in the 1920s (I think). They rebuilt and it burned down again in 1984 and has been abandoned ever since. Some say that the girl in the blue dress also haunts the school. Crazy how you got the name Logan...it sounds like a name more common in the 19th century. I wonder if there is any connection to Logan and the girl? They say the girl was the daughter of a mill employee though. I recently learned of two other incidents at the mill, one where a boy fell into the basement and died and another where a guy on PCP tried to scale the mill but fell about 100 feet. The PCP incident was probably before 1994 because a mysterious fire burned the wooden stairs inside the structure and the top hasn't been accessible since. Not sure if the guy died (probably) but he had to be medevaced via helicopter.
I went here back in 2014 with a few high school friends and we ran into a group who was checking it out as well. We all saw the owl and the other group tripped out and thought it was a pale ghost's face haha. We stayed and eventually saw the owl flying around. Cool spot, eerie for sure, but I think there's more tall tale at play than haunting.
You would be very surprised about how many locations are not haunted or can logically be explained. I’ve been here twice and both times I have seen this owl.
Irish Gamer What year was it built? Who built it? Are there any recorded deaths? What did they mill there? Is the 100 year old structure across the street in any relation? You should do a video titled; The real story.
I used to ditch school at Murrieta valley high and go exploring in there and the old elementary school all the time. The 2nd building was a school
Erock Stoenescu me too, I lived on 1st street! OTM
I went inside as a teenager! (2009) I’ll never forget how cool it is in there. They boarded it up years ago. Still worthwhile to see it.

Paul Leach the kid who fell did not die he just broke both his legs and sued the land owners and got a fat check from the incident

Shouldn't be going on that property because I see there's a fence and that's obvious because you're not supposed to be in there 😡
You better call the FBI then
