Personally living in Jackson county, a lot has changed. It’s kinda like a ghost town now. All the buildings are worn down. I really wish I could have experienced Jackson county in its prime

Jackson County used to be a quaint little place, tucked away in the hills and seemingly never aging. We had a running joke that if you drove thru Mckee and blinked, you'd miss the whole town. Life was like Andy Griffith's Mayberry; everybody knew everybody and you didn't have to lock your doors at night. But growth was super, super slow there. Not much changed for years at a time and when change DID finally come, it was like an awakening. But I think a lot of folks left there because there was just nothing there to build a life on.

I grew up out side of anville and went back about 10 years ago and nearly cried seeing how it has changed.

Yes it's sad that people are turning to drugs in our town, not a great legacy...
