I did it without taking the frame screws of the top, so i did not have to take out the motherboard, the border frames can rotate a bit. I did not also take out the charging port, just move the flexes so could unscrew the frame there.
do I need to determine what is the specific serial or any code numbers from the body of the phone?.. before replacing the screen?.. or is it going to work as long as the replacement screen is the same model with the body.?
Why did you remove all the internals? Only needed to remove back cover and battery. I did this job the long way and then realised there was a quicker way.
Sony disappoints again, what a pain-the-ass that is to service, even the person in the video is struggling with it. That's too expensive a phone to be a throw-away or to be glued together. There no way a technician could do that for a customer and leave the phone without marks from prying. Nice video, thanks.

If the damage not so bad, not even affect daily using, you could leave it along and get a temperated glass to protect it. If it's badly crack, you should better change a new screen to prevent injury.

I'm asking because my device felt and after that a small yellow stain appeared near the power bottom. When i press gently on the edge of the screen the spot disapear. I thought I could heat the glue and atach it again. Is the a real solution for my case?! I dont want to replace The lcd. Thanks
I own sony xperia XA1 HD display phone with curved screen and find to my dismay that its touch is of poor quality from start. Now after 21 odd months may be my phone's touch is nearly dead like and have to get it changed this without any misuse or fell down or water immersion. Though sony software is very good. Sony deliberately keeps properietory 3.5mm jack and no other phone wire can be used as commonalilty. Also the sony did not specify that only one speaker will function with speakers on which is a blot on the credibility of a towering name in electronics. The companies must come with full clarity. Also I have not been able to find any screen guard for a curved phone of sony fame. I feel the companies have a moral duty to provide the same and also the original parts on the internet or shops as the case may be as authorised service centres are almost nowhere now say use and throw. Your good luck or bad luck you chooses our product and will remain at our mercy. But I feel things will going to change after 2024 onwards with some new government comes in India for local manufacturing of chips, ram and screen and chipset etc. and say 100% indian phones will be a realilty sometimes later on all Indian Technology all much equalling Samsung and Qualcom chips and surpassing all other chips. So will be high end computers faster than intel chips and chip sets and also the AMD ones. Only I can say is that the technology is available with Republic of India now will be having like a Super Computer better than SUMMIT Super Computer presently at No.1 in the world of USA with better than Microsoft and AMD Softwares like Windows 32/64 and AMD 86.

Hi, there's no glue or any kind of bond on the side of the screen?!
Sony XA1 have some adhesive on the lcd side strip, if you replace the lcd screen, you need remove the side strip be first.
