- Volume warning on this, some of the air jack releases make quite the noise! Good day out at British GT Media day 2024, started off miserable but got decent towards the end. Some cool appearances from the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and GT4, Ford Mustang GT4 and Lotus Emira GT4 included. Tons of people in attendance too, some perhaps taking the odd liberty with access but maybe that's one for the track to handle!

Was there in person, the new Aston GT3 sure is beautfiul, perfect downshift sounds too
That dark horse mustang sounds like the old Holden ZB commodores, gonna love that 7500rpm V8 at oulton park in April

Certainly picking up where other national championships are perhaps failing. You do start to wonder if it would be worth British GT running GT3 and GT4 separate for a season and seeing how many would show up. I personally think GT4 at least would reach the high 20s. I guess time is a factor, but it'd be interesting to see. Think it'll be another good year from British GT regardless
@@PescaraProductions I am more of a fan of one class championships if I’m honest so I agree it would very much be interesting to see what the entry list would be like 👍

That wristband system when leaving pit lane seems ridiculous! IMHO drivers already have enough to consider when leaving pit lane! Does this system only apply to test days?

Great to see a V8 Ginetta again and the Emira sounds great. Always wonder why they silence some of the cars to death in this series (Huracan, 458 for example) but not others (M4 GT4, Emira).
This seasons looks awesome. Hope fully we get a Mustang GT3 at some point in the future.
There actually is a Mustang GT3 now. It already races in IMSA and WEC and will also be in GTWC Europe this year.

What are the guys at the end of the pit lane checking just as the cars join the track . They seem to look at the windscreen then give a thumbs up ??

@MotorsportMeister Yeah pretty nice sounding, I think the GT4's are outdoing the GT3's on that these days!
@@PescaraProductionsYeah its sad that most of the newer GT3s don't sound as good or as interesting as the outgoing models that they are replacing.
@@MotorsportMeister think it's to meet the ever tightening noise restrictions globally, which is a shame. I know most of them here are already pretty quiet

Not this year. Maybe one day. We did have a couple Corvettes competing in the early 2000s
