This is what happens when we value numbers over quality. 10 well-trained, well paid professional officers physically and mentally fit would have ended this thing in 5 minutes. Hiring 400 poorly trained, low physical, and mental standards gets you very little protection even if you do arm them to the teeth. As you can see,
all those guns and gear did not give them the courage to do their job.

As an Army combat veteran, my fellow Americans have to see the profound danger of police cowardice when mixed with the US-military uniform.
We all see how cops love to LARP as soldiers with all the military style gear. You have to understand how that American military uniform had a reputation around the world for excellence, and when you let cowards wear it, like in Uvalde, that reputation of our military uniform is tarnished forever. Other militaries had learned to respect that uniform, from our soldiers showing an obvious willingness to close with and engage an enemy.
To the outside world, it looks like actual US military were in that hallway (foreigners do not understand that SWAT just like to dress up like that because they were too scared to join the REAL military). To outside world, it looked like US military were in that hallway, afraid to engage.

Almost 400 LEOs rush to the school then don't bother to try and organize themselves. Like state senator Gutierrez said, who were the guys seen with their phones out, talking to? A lot of them were seen just standing around looking like spectators. Some people are saying that it looked like they were told to stand down by a higher up, a state official. The guys outside were not just waiting around for small town School police chief Arredondo to tell them what to do. Some are wondering how did 400 from 17 local, state and federal agencies get to the school so fast? Also there were SWAT teams there before BORTAC showed up. It almost looked like they wanted Border Patrol to be the ones to take the shot. The 10 Billion dollar Operation Lone Star project had 91 people there. Was the BORTAC team part of them? Is that why everyone waited for them to take the shot and get the credit?? These are some of the questions folks from Texas are raising on line.

This entire force should be fired, the videos are clear that these officers were afraid. This is not acceptable for Police. the first officer could have shot him down before he even entered the school, instead of calling in, he should have engaged and shot him. He had already shot before he went in , so he was an active shooter, You don't call that in you engage!!!!!!!! All of those lives could have been saved. Fire everyone of them. Start training your officers and if they don't have the mental fortitude they can't be an officer.

That's the mentality of many of these LEOs across the country, even if it means at the expense of their community's children. You are always your first line of defense.
To the outside world, it looked like US military were in that hallway, afraid to engage.
When police are acting like cowards, they seriously need to stop LARPing as soldiers, and wear their own uniform.

The small town Uvalde school police and the city police with some equipment, but not enough experience and training with mass shootings. Team 2 is the state and federal cops who had more experience and training with mass shootings. So you are saying it was ok for team 2 to just stand around being spectators? Also there was a SWAT team with team 2. BORTAC arrived later. With 376 cops they could have come up with a plan and distracted the shooter from many directions. So no, it would not be right to put all of the blame on Arredondo and his staff of 6.

These cops are not organized to effectively solve and stop crimes, but instead control and subjugate black population in usa. So when an actual threat to public safety happen or is happening from a non-black person, they are hesitant to actually stop the attacker as quickly as possible because the attacker is not a black person, who they were form to subjugate and attack.

These are cowards with a gun. Heartless. How can you be an officer of the law and sit by and watch all these innocent children be murdered in cold blood while you do absolutely nothing to stop it? Yet you will gun down a black man with no gun whatsoever, and hold yourself unaccountable saying you feared for your lives. SMH

To the outside world, it looked like US military were in that hallway, afraid to engage.

This is such a strange effect.
I wonder if this is an extension of the 10-80-10 principle which I've witnessed many times in life.
It reasons that 10% of us are leaders (we have a plan, take action, and do the right thing) This group is called the Survivors.
80% are dazed, panicky, and disoriented. They are the Confused and struggle to make sense out of the situation. They seek direction and wait for someone to take the lead and tell them what to do.
Finally there are the Doomed, 10% that behave in counter-productive ways. They do the wrong thing and even hasten their own injury.
I'm sure that there are many watching this program who knew exactly what they would do in this situation even if they've never had any police training.
I know that some parents and others stepped up but were stopped from proceeding into the school.
If you are one of those first 10% (you know who you are because you've had to step up in multiple emergency situations with no training), learn a few more tactics, such as the art of distraction to get the other 90% out of the way. If anyone tries to stop you, continue going forward.
I'm shocked by the amount of people in danger or situations that the persons-in-power have not acted immediately. I've watched police chiefs clearly exhibit Doomed behavior ..
Maybe this is just innate and some can never be taught. 😔

That (400 men)is a disgusting amount of wasted tax payer money. They are very similar to the shooter. Loving their guns. Not knowing what they were doing. Not having any personal integrity. They should all be fired and all the politicians who assembled them need to be evaluated

Just your daily reminder that police officers are not your personal meat shields.
The Supreme Court has long ruled that police officers are not legally obligated to protect citizens. They are called “law enforcement” for a reason. Their sole duty is to enforce laws set forth by Congress.
There isn’t a law on the books that say that you’re entitled to police protection. 😊
