    Here are the accessories I have for my RB67 SLR:
    1. Handheld light meter
    2. Extra film backs (usually carry three extra)
    3. Filters (graduated neutral density for landscapes, soft focus for portraits, polarizing for unwanted reflections)
    4. Extention tubes for macro
    5. Cable release
    6. Spirit level
    7. Lens hoods for lenses
    8. Case for storage and transport
    9. Eye level finder
    10. Heavy duty tripod

    The one essential accessory if you are walking about with your RB is a decent strap , it also helps when exposing film as you can press down with your wrist to steady the beast. And you won’t drop the camera.

    In addition to the 90mm lens, I also use my Mamiya #1 lens hood and my 77mm filters on my 140, 150, 180, and 250mm telephoto lenses because they all have 77mm filter threads.

      it’s great that all the filter threads are the same size :D i’ve been meaning to get another lens as well

    Enjoyed this very much. I was surprised that you found no number 1 hoods on ebay. They come up fairly often. I suggest you try the clip on magnifier for the prism - I find it very useful for spot on focus. I prefer an air release (rubber bulb) to a cable.as those can become rather grunchy with use. Lastly may I suggest the left hand grip which makes carrying the camera with prism much easier and has a trigger on it!.

      i’ve looked into a magnifier, i’m just not sure if i should get one haha. as for the left hand grip, ive been wanting one for a whileeee now, i might just get my hands on one 😺 !

    One thing I suggest that I still haven’t picked up if that tripod is Arca Swiss... ok the BH app won’t let me paste the link for some reason. Go to their search and type in RB67 Tripod Mount and it’s a more solid option and has two knobs for the holes next to the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera? If that made any sense lmao

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому +1

      ahh yes i know what you mean lol, i just looked it up. i might consider it, i’d like to change the plate for a more solid option, thanks man 🙏🙏

      @@jorgemoiina for sure. I need to get my self a more solid tripod for my RB. I feel like the legs are gonna buckle eventually on mine. And I can imagine dropping the RB.. I think it would explode and make a crater where it hits. Oof

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому

      i’d hate to drop it LOL, i’m trying to take care of it as much as possible

    I wish I had seen your video on replacing light seals because I spent a small fortune having a repair service replace mine.

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому +1

      i think it’s great to have that option. i didn’t replace all of the light seals, just the ones in the film back. i will do the rest of the camera eventually :)

    Hello, Just one question, when you have the lens hood on your lens how do you attach the filter on it? You attach the lens hood on the filter? Thanks for answer🌊

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому +1

      i attach the lens hood in front of the filter :) !

    Years ago, I used UV filters on all my lenses for protection. However, I stopped using them when I discovered that even the best filters degraded my images to some degree.

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому +1

      this is true ! i’ve thought of this and i’ve tried testing it for myself a couple of times. although, i do like the softness that comes with the uv filter. it’s definitely better to not have a uv filter at all :D

  • @Narsuitus
    @Narsuitus 3 роки тому +1

    I use all the accessories you discussed except the UV filter and the soft-focus shutter-release button.

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому +1

      those two accessories are definitely up for debate, some people hate them and some people love them 😅

    I use soft-focus shutter-release buttons on my 35mm cameras but I had never considered using the buttons on my RB67 because I tend to use a cable release on my RB and if I had to remove the shutter release button, it is very likely that I would lose it.

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому +1

      i have shutter button on my 35mm camera as well. losing them is a problem 😅 i always leave them in my bag if i know im taking it off

    Good luck with the ball head on your tripod. It took me a while to find a ball head that was sturdy enough to securely hold my heavy RB67 and 4x5 inch cameras.

    • @jorgemoiina
      @jorgemoiina  3 роки тому

      so far it’s worked great ! it’s sturdy enough for my rb67, i don’t think it’d be sturdy enough for a 4x5 camera though

    Keep doing what you're doing, having a medium format camera be a pain in the pocket. I know I have a few of the monsters...
