Hahaha. But 4x5 is even heavier and people don't complain. Looks like for good quality need to make sacrifices. I don't complain about it, just put it in a bigger bag and carry it. And I'm happy to have a good camera which is making high quality photographs.
The moment you check out red licorice’s albums and realize his tracks are all over willem’s, joe’s and Corey’s videos 🙌... It’s my favorite soundtrack to shoot to these days!
Making pictures has nothing to do with an accent in my opinion, to me it’s not just “taking pictures” because there’s such a process. It’s not just a simple click and go. You have to think about composing not to mentionThere’s editing and stuff after
Andre Gonzales So it’s the process of creating a whole scene within the frame through seeing, composition, and post processing. I like that! I’m with it 👌🏼
@@andregonzales7711 I agree 100%!! That is why I said it must have been the Belgian influence. I was guessing since Flemish is a germanic language and 'Verbeek' is definitely not french it stems from the same root maybe. I am from Germany and no one here takes pictures, we all 'make photos' in German. Ernst Leitz and Carl Zeiss would turn in their graves if we suddenly decide to just take them over here ;)
Went to a second hand camera shop last month to check RZ67/RB67, and found them way bigger than I expected! Considering the capability of my neck, I ended up with a Mamiya 645, also a very nice model!
I’m gonna title this kind of subtle dig an “after burn”. You mention what you deem a “fault” in someone, by complimenting how great it is that its gone. They can only be internally and retrospectively offended, because if was after all, a “compliment”. Thats professional level passive aggression.
Willem, another interesting video. Thanks. I've got a right-hand grip (with a double-stroke film advance/shutter control for one-handed operation) and prism finder on my Bronica SQ which makes for a nice walk-around set up. Heavier than the SQA without the grip and prism, but still lighter than my RB67.
I usually have a camera bag whenever I do street photography. But I often worry about pickpocketers whenever I travel even though I haven't encountered one and I hope I don't but how do you deter pickpocketers from snooping into your camera bag when you do your shoots.
Awesome video! Peak design really has some nice camera bags, I bought their messenger bag a few years back and I'm still using it! Main thing I like about your videos is the beats when showing your photos! Fuego!
Hey Willem, you added a few nice things to your Mamiya setup. Looks way better this way. I also didn't know Charles Michel has a twin brother living over there with an "aka"... In all seriousness now; is Wesley 'one of us' as well ? Grtzz
Great video, your obsession with old cars is real. You could probably make a photobook with just cars and name it something different instead of "badly repaired cars" book. I want to suggest featuring your gf more in videos or maybe do a thrifting video.
Hey Willem, what’s the name of the tripod you use? New to the medium format world and not sure what to get that’ll be good for the rz67. Appreciate what you do bro!
Which rz model do you have? Also did you have to replace the rubber on the bottom of the camera? Mines got electrical tape down there, but i cant seem to find any rubber replacements, thinking about picking up some leather peices for it tho
Hello all! I have a Mamiya RB67 ProS and have been thinking about moving up to the RZ. I am quite sold on the quality of the newer lenses, but are there any drawbacks I should look out for? Should I stick with my RB? Is there another camera in this price/quality range I should consider? Thank you all in advance :)
New sub here can’t wait for whatever you have to bring! 😂 I don’t know why but it is so satisfying to watch film photography. I am a digital photographer but I have to try this out one day!
Hi Willem, great video as always but this time about your tools that you use to create your art. I am planning to buy a good daily camera, laptop backpack with my hard earned money! What is your opinion on the comfort level of the shoulder straps? I heard people saying it is not comfortable.
what's the photo book on the shelf to you right? Also super random, but if you are ever in the San Diego area I would love to go out and shoot a couple of rolls of film with you and possibly have you on my podcast
i love watching your videos and it inspires me to play around with medium format. where did you buy your mamiya rz67 or mamiya 645? i’ve been looking for years and i can’t seem to find one :((
reeally like the promaster 'impulse small backpack' lately. it has a thingy for properly holding the tripod on the side, so as to AVOID smashing everything in the thrift shop... 😂📸
Hi Willem is het echt de moeite waard om RZ67 II pro te nemen iso non Pro ? heb je die fine tunning knop om scherp te stellen echt nodig ? Greetz from Belgium.
Does anyone have experience with the pared-down version of this bag, the Everyday Backpack Zip? I'm looking for a bag for my RB and can't quite afford the Everyday, but am considering the Zip.
yo yo stop playing games we need a new and updated video on how you scanned and edited the film from this video, colors are so brown! I love it! also, advice for when I get scans from the lab? my lab does bmp and not tiff, their scans are also super digital looking... my scans at home w/ the v600 are flat and imo just how I want them, but I'd like to speed up my scanning and editing process.
Hey Willem, Have you heard of the recent announcements about Kodak raising the prices for film starting January? I’m a little bummed out rn lol just wanted to hear your thoughts Great video as always
I Hate Photographers It’s kind of crappy at the consumer level but it’s an important move for the longevity and accessibility of film. They are raising their prices because they invested more into their film manufacturing
I'm new to the channel and I really love your vibe and your work. Really keen on learning more from all your videos! Also I'm a die hard skate rat and would love to see some pictures of the NY skate scene!
I love the music you use in your videos, can you tell me what's the name of the song in which you sponsor Squarespace please : ) I love your shooting style
Todays video is a little more gear oriented, so if thats not your vibe feel free to skip to 8:00 for a photovlog with my friend Wesley Verhoeve :)
@11:55 - What Squarespace template are you using, Willem?
sorry but your photos are inhibiting me.
life is fun out there and your subject and sight looks like in 1970s and no people in that, the view is limited and i see no point.
The Peak Design Everyday Elephant, I’m a fan.
Seeing Willem with a eye level finder is sacrilegious. Lmao
Yeah man, i think that too hahaha
Thanks for making me use Siri ...
The main upgrade for an RZ67 should be a set of wheels
lmfao valid point
@leicanoct I borrowed Arnold Schwarzenegger
@@timmyd999 where can I rent one? I'm told they're made in Austria, I live in France, delivery fees should be low.

So are we just gonna pretend this “making pictures” phrase isn’t throwing us all off
SuperCacapedo I assume it’s the Belgium speaking in him ^^
squigglyline22 lolol that’s a good guess but how do we explain Joe Greer using the same phrase, we must get to the bottom of this

Hey Willem, I’d love to see a video about how you’re finding your Fujifilm X-Pro2!

well spotted! those guys are great!
Everytime it's sunny and I see a classic car parked on the side of the road, I think Willem Verbeeck.
Always my most anticipated thing on every Sunday

Glad to see you have a safe shell for your gear. Your last bag gave me anxiety man.
I love my Mamiya RZ67! It's been a workhorse since the 1980's. I think I'll take it out today.
Sell it to me

i know this video is old but that tripod carry tip is a game changer!
Absolutely love your camera set up and photo style 👌🏾👌🏾✨

I have been looking for a bag for my RZ67.
I added the bag to my Amazon wish list for Santa to find. Great video!
Great photo's man.. Really enjoyed learning more about your setup too!
Might cop that viewfinder and handgrip what Wesley said about it being cumbersome Is so spot on lol
Wow oh wow that's huge. I wanna get one but the size. My Bronica ETRSI is gonna be my work horse until I figure out if it makes sense for me
Can you please make a video on how to use the flash with RZ/RB system?
I LOVE the colours in your photos!
Thank you!
Willem Verbeeck you’re welcome

Amazing video - I love Mamiya RZ 67, how would you compare it to Pentax 67?
You have the RZ in on its side in the peak bag, how is this position on the focus knobs? Ive been looking for something smaller to carry mine in.
The king of tripod slinging!

do you consider getting a digital back for the mamiya?
Is there room in your camera bag for three extra film backs?

Why did these portra 400 look like underexposed or under-developed? With loss of the shadow details, is this due to the post processing effects
