My favorite thing about you guys is how much you look as though you're enjoying playing. I think face plays such a part in setting the tone for the instrument. I love this, it's engaging!
Thanks so much kitnkabootle, You are correct in that we enjoy this very much and it's always fun playing together. Thank you so much for your support :)
WOW!! This is just what I was looking for! You're absolutely awesome for making these tutorials and giving us the sheet for free. I have been using the artist violin that I bought a few months ago and it was such a GREAT investment. Can't wait until the sheet is uploaded on your website :)
Just printed it out. Thanks! Also, I have a problem with my finger "flexibility" that I hope you can help me with. My problem is that it is very hard for me to play a whole step with my 3rd finger when I place my low second finger down (not lifting it up). For example, on the A string, if I place my low second finger on C, it will be hard for me to play D without being a little flat. I read somewhere that it may have to do with the tendons in the fingers that are prohibiting for stretching my 3rd finger. It is very frustrating because my intonation suffers. Do you have any advice?
My advice is to try to turn you hand a bit more so that the flat of your hand is facing your face and extend the fingers in that direction instead of turning it too much forward the fingerboard. Let me know if you understand what I'm trying to say.
Yes, I understand what you mean, but it doesn't work. I made sure my elbow and thumb are all in the correct place. The way I am holding the violin on my left hand is good. It just that I have very bad flexibility with my ring finger. Are there any exercises I can do to stretch my 4th finger out and make it more "independent" from my middle finger?
Sweet ! Could listen to that all day.... Nice work Felix and Pierre - and thanks for the tutorial walk-through ! EDIT - I just noticed Felix singing "Des-pa-cito" in the intro - man - you're on-key and in tune dude ! Respect bro !
Wow wish I have seen your video before I made my Decpacito violin cover. I have been playing for 8 months now and I just love the violin and your videos!
I really really REALLY HATE this song ... But watching you having fun while you're playing makes it so worth to watch the whole video :) Thank you! I really enjoyed it :)
Do you have any harder creations coming? I enjoy what you do but I love challenges!! By the way I'd like to thank you for helping me lol I've followed you from since I started 3 and a half years ago and I'm pretty far in for 3 and a half years. Part of that is due to you, so thanks. :)
Hello Life Concept . You can go to our web page Www.fiddlershop.com and order what ever you want . We have international shipping . Thanks for watching
I wanto to buy a electric violin, one is made of fully basswood (low price), another one is maple & spruce(top) (High price),which one should i buy? first one is that bad? please help
For the sound it doesn't matter. Solid body electric violins do not require much vibration. The sound comes from the piezo pickup. For strength, Maple is stronger.
No it is not. Please join my forum and ask the same question. You'll see how many will tell you that they began playing at much older ages. We have members who are just starting and are in their 70's and even 80's... fiddlerman.com/forum
Yeah, I downloaded the music about a week ago. I do pretty well up until 73-97 but then get back into it. I feel I get lost sometimes in there even with a metronome. Sometimes i play to the video when you two play, I dont run into any stags or get lost there either. Might just be the fact that its an unfamiliar portion of the song and I have a hard time thinking about it. Anyways, thanks for making the sheet music for it. Ive been playing for 3 years now, thought about making a fiddling you tube channel, not sure. Im a good fiddler, but not under camera. *laughs*. Thanks. Edit: Are you both looking at sheet music?
Hi Fiddlerman, if you have the time, please include "The Kiss" from the movie "The Last of the Mohicans" to your illustrious list. The tune sounds really complicated -- but not for a highly trained professional such as yourself. 😊 🎻♫
I put it on my list. It's actually a great idea. I'm trying to limit the "Tune a Week" to pieces that many can play or would like to learn to play but I never know where the line goes. Beginners tutorials or just tutorials..... Advanced violinists don't need for me to play it slowly to see my fingers, etc... But maybe some do???? Thanks for watching!
Thank you for putting it on your list of requests. I see your point about the learning curve. Hearing it played is one thing, but actually watching someone playing it is quite another. I shall continue to watch and listen. 🎻♫
i was saying, you played the song so damn good, and also the arrangement is so wonderful..thats amazing man.. been following your lesson on vibrato, i just started around 2weeks ago, and your lesson is easy to digest compared to others, thank you fiddlerman
Thanks so much. Interesting perspective. Someone else said the same thing to me. They said that they almost didn't want to watch it because so many groups have done covers but that they loved this version. Hmmmmm. Cheers.
@@1stfiddlerman i watch your videos while I am practicing open strings and scales so I was going to come across this anyway (good distraction to practice for a long time) But I can understand their opinion on despacito. There is no musician who did not try to play this so it is quite naturall to get sick of it.
I can't seem to watch enough of you guys playing!!! Please continue doing this! My children are so inspired from your playing!
Thanks so much Julie!!!
Been playing the violin for two days and still going strong 😄 I couldn't stop smiling watching y'all have fun with this!
You play in a way that makes the music sounds better that its original.
That is super kind of you to say. Thanks!
This is the only version of the song I've heard and I plan on keeping it that way. Your version is fantastic.
Amazing!! you two seem to have so much fun while you are playing :)
Thanks. We do. :)
Double whammy; best advert for a violin shop I've seen too - Do you guys ever take that show on the road...?
Love watching you guys play!! So fun, makes my heart smile.
I have watched this video before but not with such enjoyment. Absolutely entertaining and uplifting.
Thanks so much Joy. It pleases me to know that we can lift you up!

Yeah my finger independence sucks too I can't move my pinky away from my ring finger

Thank you sir.So i should go for spruce+maple one for a strong or durable violin?
I think they are quite durable anyway. You said it was a high price. How much more is it?
The basswood one is 70$ & maple one is 90$ in Aliexpress,I can't afford more than that!
So,which one should i grab sir?
Is a very good and funny. Y like it
Guillermo Morales Y not like it?
Thanks!
Wow I love that
I'm happy to hear it. :)
sorry sir... i want to ask.. is it too late for me , 25 years old to try playin violin? 😢
