I have watched this movie many times over the years. I can always find something new to experience each time I see it. Jimmy Stewart was great acting as the old guy coming back to the town as well as the young guy struggling to get by. John Wayne was perfect in his role as the bit part he had and made each scene he was in stand out. The Valance gang was well picked and you can really hate their actions. Lee Marvin was the perfect slimy villain, as Liberty. Woody Strode, Andy Devine and Strother Martin were perfect as extras.
