Funnily enough, I used to have this game and the next one at eden park on vhs tape. Both exciting finishes..though taping missed ian smiths getting to 50 at eden park. Do you have this game?
England & the West Indies why not home ODI's in coloured clothing before 1998 wow technology have changed alought over the years with DRS & LBW may replays & so on .
England (my country by the way) were really terrible at this time. Really poor game awareness. Team just about scraping 200. How times have changed in ODIs (for the better :))
Made for exciting games though. England came back to NZ in 1991/92 and trashed us 3-0 before the World Cup and then made the CWC final... so they weren't that bad.
England's ODI record from 1986-87 season to 1992-93 was phenomenal. Somehow they won much more ODIs than they lost. Perhaps due to the gritty players like Robin Smith and Fairbrother.
Another Brilliant Upload Keep It Up
Andrew Jones was as good as any odi batsman in the late 80s , early 90s
I loved Andrew Jones! Unorthodox but gritty and effective. A great first drop and under appreciated.
