    I am happy with these answers, as a beginner in the gym these cardio machines are the only ones I feel comfortable using at first.

      I have a tip :) When I first started going to the gym, I grabbed a mat and started doing my warm-up while secretly watching everyone else to see how they used the machines :)))) but if I were to start it all over again, I would get one session with a personal trainer to have them show me around.

    • @Fitnessdy
      @Fitnessdy  6 місяців тому

      Let me know which machines you don't know how to use, and I'll try to help. Otherwise, you can simply search for instructions on UA-cam and you'll find plenty of good tips and tricks.
      Side note, if you're looking for customized advice, you can book a consultation with the engine behind Fitnessdy, certified Cardio and Fitness Trainer, Ioana. We can do a 1-on-1 video call, talk through email, or build a personalized workout plan. ioanacozma.setmore.com/

    • @Fitnessdy

      They're equally good for weight loss, it all depends on your personal preference. I would prefer a treadmill with incline if it were me trying to lose weight :) And a couple of dumbbells or resistance bands for some upper body work.

    elliptical as easy as walking? really?

      In some cases, depending on the resistance, it can be perceived as such. I also have a tendency for exaggeration/ hyperbole to underline certain points :D

    How much calories does spin bike with moving handles burns??

    • @Fitnessdy

      That's an assault bike and online calculators say it can burn 8-11 calories per minute :)

    what about tummy trimmers and ab rollers?

    • @Fitnessdy
      @Fitnessdy  11 місяців тому

      Nope 😃 that's just marketing. Studies show that two things work for visceral (deep tissue) fat: 1. Hiit is best for abdominal fat; 2. Zone 2 cardio is best for all-round body fat burn

  • @marcogiannangeli708

    But what about dual-purpose air bikes which exercise legs and arms? Are they better than elliptical cross trainers?

    • @Fitnessdy
      @Fitnessdy  Рік тому +1

      They're better at burning calories bc your heart rate increases more
      However, you burn more body fat when you're at 60-70% of your heart rate, in the aerobic zone. In terms of energy, your body burns oxygen, glucose and fat. If you're in the anaerobic zone, your body burns just a molecule called atp for a few seconds, followed by glucose. Sooo, if your goal is losing belly fat, for which you need to burn bod fat do HIIT keeping your high intervals in the 70-80% max heart rate zone and the low-intensity ones in the 60% max heart rate zone OR steady-state cardio in the 60-70% zone

    • @Fitnessdy

      That's a great point, I've experienced the importance of diet on weight loss plenty of times. Still, exercise creates a caloric deficit that can have compound benefits in the long run for weight management. It will take longer with just exercise, though. I advocate for a three-pronged approach: diet, exercise, and staying active throughout the day. In fact, even minding your portion sizes + walking every day works like a charm.
