Hennen, Baker, Roberts...the first guys to cross the ocean and race in not just the UK, but Europe. If you look at their riding records - they raced on anything, dirt, road, and any kind of racing..dirt oval, mile oval, TT, 1/2 mile, road racing...and they won. Roberts career is truly amazing, and if Baker and Hennen didn't have bad crashes - who knows how good they would have become? Barry Sheene is just the best - was there ever a "cooler" guy? I don't think so, at least not one with talent - which Barry had. Outstanding video - thanks!
Hard to believe I was at this race all those years ago aged 15 with my girlfriend Emma who is still a friend to this day .Barry Sheene was like a rockstar and he is still so popular today nearly 20 years since he left us God Bless you Bazza #7 ❤️🙏
In 1978 I was 17 with a 250 Yam and a black Kangol Kestrel helmet I decorated with blue and white 3mil masking tape in the style of Steve Bakers lid. Was gonna paint 32 on the back as well but if you painted a polycarbonate lid it melted they said! Happy days. Still riding too.
Great days, though Lodge Corner was a pig in the in off area, ploughed clay. Watching these guys inspired me to take it up, at club level. The tyre composition was utter crap though and so could have done with disc brakes.
American and British uhh? How things r changing. Thanks God the smokers r gone. In 20 years time we look and say wow this combustion engines were noisy and smelly lol

Remember Baker drifting round Knickerbrook - he was the best.
"With Sheene out of the action, That's a Bitter, Bitter Blow for Britain!" Go Murray Walker! Priceless!

Is it just me or do these guys get the knee down further than the gang of 1991 - 1996? Amyone remember Doohan or Schwantz upright style.
