Wah Farhanbhai! This song is a classic and one of my most favorite songs! This is where we see Triveni Sangam, Shbda, Chaal ani Avaaj! Vidushi Manik Varma also has sung it beautifully and Babuji's version is equally good. Thank you very much for this!
Farhan, eternally grateful to you for sharing this. When Sudhir babuji sang his own composed songs, he always brought extra beauty. On one such rare occasion I heard him sing this song live . That was 1984. Since then I had been longing to hear it in his voice again. Thanks for grating my wish of almost 40 years.
I am so happy to hear this, Naren ji (: You are both kind and extremely fortunate to have heard the great man live! Thanks for sharing this with us all.
Also, if you type 'सुधीर फडके मैफल' in the UA-cam search bar, a lot of his mehfil renditions of his songs will come up. Dunno how well known these versions are!
@@FarhanAmin1994 Yes Farhan ji, I am familiar with the mehfil songs. That CD was in fact produced by my friends who had the recordings in their possession for years. I wholeheartedly agree I have been lucky to have heard Babuji for 25 years. Here is a story for you about the song that you posted in this video: He sang this song in an obscure concert which was not advertised. We used to take tape recorders to record concerts to study them afterwards. On that particular occassion because the concert was a last minute information I did not have money to buy a cassette (25 rupees at the time) and he sang Ghananila magnificently. That was 1985. Since then I wanted to hear it in his voice.
Here is another instance of Sudhir Phadke singing a tune of his own, 'Yenar nath aata': ua-cam.com/video/lr430BtcVVs/v-deo.html. We all know whom the original is by!
