Hey girl I have been a nurse for 7 years now. I have yet to ever use a reflex on anyone lmao Nursing school teaches you so much and then you come into the real world and realize you learn the real stuff on the job. It was the most annoying thing ever. I'm proud of you. I am thinking about going back to school for my DNP but at the age of 29 and doing 4 more years is a struggle. I give you so much props. It is not easy going back to full study mode. I cried so much thinking i messed up choosing this field, it's not easy what so ever. But there is so much room for growth and opportunity. I am really proud of you! Sending you lots of love.

My mother in law started it at 40! Never too late! I’m 28 and also am starting in the fall! She told me there were mainly mothers that went after raising their children! So many mixed ages she said!

I’m and L&D Nurse for 2 years now but when I started/was in nursing school your videos were my escape from reality and helped me de-stress. I’m so happy that you’ve started this journey! It took me over 10 years. In and out of 3 schools to finally finish my LVN. I finished in October and currently studying for my nclex and lemme tell you, nursing school was exhausting! 90% was during COVID and I live in CA where it went into a shithole and we thought we wouldn’t finish cuz of protocols and restrictions. But here I am. Almost at the finish line so I’m cheering you on! It’s gonna take so much time and discipline but don’t forgot to breathe and take time for yourself. Before you know it. You’ll be done. Sending you so much love.

I graduated nursing school a few years back and this is bringing back all the memories. Nursing school is challenging and exhausting. You will, most definitely, have to push yourself, but you can do it. As a super long time viewer, I'm wishing you all the best. I can't wait to watch you succeed. Oh btw, the stethoscope ear pieces should point forward toward your ear canals; I'm sure you've probably figured that out by now.

You go girl! So proud of you! I just returned to school this year to finish my Bachelor's after 8 years. I am 30. First semester was a world wind but I finished strong! I had to drink a lot of coffee and nap a lot haha. Also I am a Taurus and I am messy and love to sleep/lounge. I didn't know that was a Taurus thing. No wonder I feel like I would vibe with you so well.

i just finished my first year of nursing school!!! and girllllll it’s a whole different level of stress. i used to be a straight A student, but with nursing school i had to super push myself just to get a B. the “select all that apply” and “what’s the nurse’s priority in this given situation” are so tough. AND DONT EVEB GET ME STARTED ON THE ENDLESS MEDS WE NEED TO MEMORIZE. it’s safe to say that my brain is fried. i’m taking this winter break to recover & prepare myself for the next semester. one more year and i’ll be sitting for my NCLEX and this horror will all be a distant memory 😅 btw i love how i grew up watching your beauty vids and now we’re simultaneously in nursing school together! i’m glad you’re posting your journey through nursing school bc it makes me feel less alone knowing there are other people stress-crying over memorizing onset, peak, & duration times for various insulins 🤣 WE GOT THIS GIRL!!!

I’ve been a RN for 32 years. I was 23 when I finished nursing school. It was rough, I was the youngest in my class and I struggled. My older classmates were so focused and always prepared. Me not so much, BUT I did it. No regrets and now feeling it’s time to retire. I’m so happy for you, you can do this, just keep swimming.

You could always bring in the other uniform you have and ask the teacher ahead of time! That way you don’t let your new comfortable uniform go to waste👩🏼⚕️

Highly recommend Gingko Biloba helps focus and recall when studying. Also get a desk and study for set times (treat it like a second job) the routine and system will greatly benefit your retention... Good luck

When u said everyone spoke Spanish in your class, i thought girl u must be in Miami 😂. I live in Miami and Ive been here 13 years (I lived in the Carolina's before but I'm Cuban) and I've barely met anyone here that doesn't speak Spanish.

I completed nursing school 17 years ago and barely graduated and actually felt kind of embarrassed at my grades even though I tried really hard. It’s refreshing to see that nursing school really is hard, it wasn’t all me lol. Now going for my bachelors and it’s a whole different ballgame going to school in your 30’s vs late teens and I have gained confidence making A’s so far. Why is missing school so hard!?!? lol once you get out it’s so much better!

@@ForeverYours0727 Nursing school is hard as it is. Ive worked in health care for the past 6 years, my shift starts at 4am so I know how it feels to go on 2 hours of sleep and relying on caffeine to get me through school. It’ll pay off, you can do it!

I remember after my bachelor's in psych) so many of the people I became friends with were applying to grad school for various types of counseling. I had never planned to go further in my education never even considered it. I applied to ONE program. Out of 20 thousand applicants only 20 people get in per year & I was chosen. I was terrified. During our first week they basically put the fear of GOD into saying that its a full time program for 2.5 years and you can't work a full time job while you're doing it. IT WAS SO INTENSE. I had many a tearful breakdown & literally said to fam & friends I need help keeping up with everything else or it's all going to go to shit (like cleaning my 4 bedroom house, laundry, bills, errands, shopping etc). Of course no one could do ALL of it but neither could I. I had to learn to he OK with the fact that I couldn't clean my house in the way I was used to I couldn't make a lot of family parties or see friends often (luckily they understood that) but in the end IT WAS ALLLLL WORTH IT. Next month (after 3000 hours under a state issued permit) I will apply for licensure as a mental health counselor. I will also be board certified a few months following that. It isn't easy and there are so many adjustments to your life until graduation but you got this girl!
Yes I feel you so much! Going through those exact same things and it's ROUGH but like you said, goes by quickly and i'll be finished before I know it! Congrats on all your success! You're an inspiration!

I put it in one big dutch braid on the back of my head at night then wake up, shake it out, curl the front pieces only, and by the time I go into class I shake or brush out the front pieces so they are looser :)
RN here 👋🏼. Just some advice, you will burn yourself out studying like that. Nursing tests are different than anything you’ve ever had before. Remember to always focus on your nursing action. Don’t worry about the diseases so much, but what you do for them as a nurse.
