I was ill and i needed someone. And once i listen to them. It changed my whole life
I just found out that they died a few miles from where I was at that moment
and also their tour manager, Trevor Engelbrektson, love them
Im grateful I met them in concert. The most amazing people you'd ever meet, Stephen saw me and my friends waiting outside like 3 hours before the show and called Audun because they never had people wait so early for their show. They talked with us and took pictures, at the show we were up front singing, yelling, and dancing. At some point my friend my friend brought out food and started eating it and Stephen was just laughing. I remember buying a shirt and they asked me to wait a bit so they could finish just taking pictures with people first and i kinda got pushed all the way to the back and had my friend get my shirt signed. Audun literally commented on my post asking if i got my shirt signed and everything. I wish I could go back to the best night of my life.

Their passing has hit me harder than I could ever expect. Rest easy boys, you were brilliant.
Been three days and I am still weeping. I just...I can't simply take in what happened. It's like, I don't want to believe that they are no longer with us and the BBC Introducing is the last we could ever see of them.

It’s so weird and heartbreaking when you listen to a lesser known band for a good amount of time, and on the start of their come-up (*poof*) it ends. Rest in peace to one sexy, sexy band. Your sound was iconic. I wish I could have experienced it in person...
Continually devastated. If you watch videos of their performances, you realise how warm and humble they were, how wonderfully goofy and intelligent their humour was, how much fun they were having, how excited they were for the future, how much they loved each other, and how, in that moment they were living the pure artist’s life we all imagine. They were all those things, and it was ended in a moment, and we were consequently denied all they would have shared. It's gutted me, because of how much these guys had to give the world, and it scared me in a way because if people this good were taken then everything truly is random and it could end for any of us at any minute. It is one thing to logically think that and another to feel it. The real point is - they were authentic and pure, making art because they enjoyed it and enjoyed us. They were proof this exists. Life washes sadly on, it just does, but true artists like Stephen and Audun, with the right intentions and talent to boot, can be those inspiring figures we never forget that help us lead more compassionate lives. Rest in peace.

This was me and my girlfriend's first dance at my bedroom. Hearing this song everytime makes us so nostalgic to the point that when it starts, she just puts her arms around my neck. Thank you for the memories. You gave us the most heartfelt and romantic days of our relationship. You will never be forgotten.

Its been a while and i know that Stephen dedicated this song for his sister because she moved away. I just want everyone here that is listening to this song to mark my words, I will dance with this song with my sister when she gets married because if you cant understand the love between a brother and sister, this song should tell you. I have a special story with this song. First, I want to say I've looked through the comments of this song, reading all the great things everyone has said regarding Her's and I'm so happy their memory of great music has transcended since their unfortunate departure, so I think now is as good a time as any to add myself to the roster.
I discovered Her's right as they started, heard Cool With You as it randomly popped up into my recommendations, which is still the best one UA-cam has ever given me. I kept hearing their songs, hearing them grow. Then this song came out. It is without question one of my favorite songs of all time, theres something wholesome and melodramatic about this song that just keeps me coming back to it. Then I saw this music video, and it was around the same time I was going to my final prom, this story of two lovers trying to reconcile in a moment that should be romantic just strikes me as such a grounded idea to have the song with. I've loved this music video more than I've loved anyone of my favorite movies. That's how great it is. When I heard news of them pass away, I didnt believe it nor understand why talent like this had to leave us. So I played this song on repeat for the whole day and watched this video a million times. I still come back to this video almost always because it holds a special place in my heart. Now I'm in the process of a feature film for which I drew a lot of inspiration from this same video, because storytelling through silence is probably one of the most powerful art forms filmmakers have to their disposal. And so I made it my mission to honor these two amazing musicians and what they stood for by using this song and much of the sequence in the video with its choice of colors and direction for my project. Her's, this ones for you. Your music will live on forever.✌

I stopped listening to them in 2019 after the crash because I couldn’t bear to anymore, just came back and got reminded of how much comfort this band have given me. I didn’t think deaths of people I never knew could affect me this much until this. Gone too soon.. rest well boys ❤️

This song reminds me of the honeymoon phase of our relationship. This girl in the video looks like her too. She was perfect in that dress when we danced together on graduation night. I remember staring into her eyes, wanting to tell her everything I was feeling but afraid she wouldn't feel the same, the time we had together wasn't enough, I'll always remember the times that you were mine and I was yours.

I grew up going to this exact skating rink in California, it was the weirdest thing falling in love with this band, hearing about the tragic accident, and then seeing that we shared some common ground. Really haunting stuff.

I discovered Her’s just before a pretty gnarly breakup then couldn’t listen to them for a while. A couple years later after some growing I came back to them only to find they had passed away while I wasn’t listening to their music. Such a tragic loss of a truly fantastic duo. This is the first song of theirs I ever heard late last year. I was going through a really rough time, working in a salon where I was miserable. One day we were playing some random indie playlist on Spotify and it was just playing banger after banger, and this song came on. I was hooked and had to look up who it was. When I started to look into the band more I was saddened to find out they were gone too soon. Rest in peace, guys. You are greatly missed.
Discovered this group yesterday and loved them from the start. I bought the two albums they made instantly. Never done that before with anyone. I then found out they had been tragically killed. These lyrics come from the pov of a good friend. He sees your pain of seeing couples together and you not having the same. His advice is to confess to her because you're more nervous about it than she is.

My sister said this song is me and listening to lyrics at night walking downstairs to sit alone to listen to it. Has me crying in the club lol.
She is younger than me and ahead in life on a lot of levels but knows all what I went through.

This is literally what I picture when listening to them, they instantly became one of my favorite bands and was looking forward to seeing them someday. It really seemed that chance would come & now they're gone. I will never forget how much they inspired the desire to live during those times. I'll never forget my birthday last year, I went on a road trip with my boyfriend, we went to a vintage Italian dinner and rollerscating after, I'll never forget the feeling while bumping them in the car that whole day, it's truly a memory I will treasure and I'm so so thankful because I just found this video now and it's captured all my thoughts when I listen to it. My friend showed me this band while on a camping trip in the summer of 2020. This was the first song of there's I ever heard. since then I have become a major Her's fan. I have their sticker on the dashboard of my car and got a T-shirt. I wish I knew them before their deaths. The world was robbed of their great musical talent. RIP Her's.
