He should have put more effort into showing the real use case of CleanMyMac. Instead of dragging files into the bin 8h long he could have made a real tutorial on how to Clean YourMac. This might have taken less than 8h but it would have proven the real value of the app. Also I don't think CleanMyMac knows which photos are of value to me an which are not.
Umm what?
This is a satire video showing how tideous it is to clean Mac manually, not a real guide 😇
So what you're saying is, the only way your app makes sense is if you intentionally sit down and manually drag every file to the bin for 9 hours?
Wouldn't hurt to use command delete instead of dragging every single thing to the trash. Also why not use stacks to combine every single screenshot on the desktop and make it easier to look through?
Where is the fun in that :)
Another useful Mac tool is changing the icon view to a list view in finder, selecting the very top file, hold shift, select the last file you want to delete, then command delete. This will delete every file in between the first file you seelcted and the last file. If there is a file in between you don't want to delete, add command and shift to deselect it.
Thank you for sharing your insights!
Definitely worth it 😜.
Can't wait for a "behind the scene" video.
Command select and shift select also is integrated into photos in addition to command delete. Just trying to help.
I would have literally deleted every single .dmg file on that mac in 7 seconds.
Also, how does clean my mac x know which screenshots I want and which ones I don't?
CleanMyMac X offers you to review the files before deleting 😎
@@CleanMyMac no offense here, but how is it different from reviewing screenshots in stacks?))
Guys the software does work and cleans unwanted files from your mac. Even still in 2024 after deleting files on your mac, MacOS just hide them from you & you don't give you the space back on your hard drive. This is used to be a big pain in the neck for mac users 6+ years ago until Macpaw created cleanMyMac. CleanMyMac may not be all perfect(no software is) but it does what we are paying for.
Or remain ignorant and pay for another subscription. Then when they raise the price without telling you and charge you a whole year before you notice, you'll realize the time it took to learn simple shortcuts was cheaper than paying for the app.
We don't do that 😇
You made your point ! But! after uninstalling softwares with CleanMyMac, i ALWAYS have to use additional workarounds, with other softwares, to really hunt the remaining of files and corrupted databases created by those softwares in test. So it is worth-it? yes and no! ....Could be better ? Yes indeed! ....when? ...i guess nobody knows ! Not even CleanMyMac! Cheers :)
Here it the guide on how to uninstall CleanMyMac X in 5 steps: cleanmymac.com/faq/how-to-uninstall-cleanmymac. It takes less than a minute and leaves nothing behind. Please don't mistaken us for some shady software out there.
@@CleanMyMac , I absolutely have faith in you! But! I challenge you to install and use for a week, Mixedinkey10 and Rekordbox in a professional way ( no cloud involved ), then uninstall those apps using your 5 steps tutorial provided by you....and re-install them back! It will be magic if the old databases will not showed. I mean , if i uninstall something, I really expect to remove everything like there was never installed on the drive
@@Christm76 Oh shoot, I got your comment wrong. Thought you've meant uninstalling CleanMyMac X from Mac. Can you tell us more about difficulties you face with removing the apps you listed? Maybe we can improve our workflow and make your like easier.
@@CleanMyMac , No worries! :) yes! Some apps makes across MacOS diverse files . In my case were songs databases, settings...etc created in ~/Library/Application Support/xxxxxx Folder. When the main software crashed and I needed to uninstall, I used CleanMyMac to uninstall the faulty software. After re-installation of the faulty software, again, the old settings was there, unchanged and re-loaded. This was showing me that the uninstallation procedure via CleanMyMac was incomplete. I mean all my preview settings, files, playlists, theme, licence information and so on was back there without me manually doing nothing .So I had to manually search for those files and manually sent to trash and re-install again. After manual cleaning, everything was"new" . Sometimes, as users, we need to perform deep cleaning and deep removal of all leftover files anywhere on the drive, even in hidden folders :) Idk if makes sense , i sucks explaining :))
@@Christm76 Thank you for sharing your workflow! I've passed it to our dev team for their consideration 😇
oh my god it's actually real
Wait, you're not even showing the screen during this whole thing? So you just paid a guy to be on camera for 9 hours for... nothing? This proves absolutely nothing. I get the idea you were going for here, but... I don't see the point
We show the screen from time to time as well 😇 The point is to show how long does it take to clean your Mac manually.
@@CleanMyMac is your one time payment license only for the current version, or does it include future updates?
@@technicolourmyles The one-time purchase license does not require annual renewals to use the particular version they are designated for, but doesn't upgrade to new major versions.
I'm truly jealous of someone who can set aside 8 hours to clean their Mac 😜
Tell me your app is useless without telling me it's useless 🙄
I have a serious question. Is it ok to delete all cache files?
Yes! Cache files are just temporary files. Cache files are just copies of other files which are faster to access. You can delete those, but this is usually not necessary.
When you start using your computer again cache files will be created. This is a feature, not a bug.
So why does CleanMyMac delete cashes, at least some of them?
@@Just.Fabian Think about cleaning your apartment: the dust will eventually appear again and you'll need to clean again. Same concept.
I feel like we've taken a journey together 🌸
The most boring video on the internet 😂
disappointing.
Clean My Mac is fine but I wish it were free.
TIC.. TAC.. TIME KEEPS TICKING =)
