You:Build many of these in your world.
Me:Don't you know that they are names camera and lens so,if many camera and lenses are in your world,it will not work properly,Try adding numbers at the end of the name like:Camera,Lens,Camera1,Lens1,
Camera2,Lens2.

Pro tip :- If you want to stop any zombie from despawning but you don't have any nametag, you can give zombie anything which he can put in his hand like any one block, any tool, etc things in Minecraft

Does the camera actually fire at mobs?
You can do that yeah, but it doesn't actually FIRE at them.
It has a problem with the word "facing" it says this, failed to execute >>>facing
I will recommend using the /camera command you can still see your player and you can make cool things with it too.
