I bought a one step+ just after you reviewed the now+ and its become my go to Polaroid camera . i was gonna upgrade to a I-2 or a sx70 , im really happy with the onestep + the manual mode is brilliant!
Just went from the the now to the instax wide and its a world of difference, especially in price 😅 the 90s vibe of the wide has gotten me falling in love all over again ❤
Hey Chris! Just wanted to say I found your channel after buying the Polaroid Now Gen 2 and because of you i discovered the OneStep+ and it's absolutely awesome! Thank you for the informative videos and all-around great time! Keep up the great work, mate 👍
Love the video Chris! Onestep+ and sx-70 are my main shooters. I feel like I never hear anything about the onestep+ but it’s been great for me! Also love this style of video btw, the vlog/shooting/adventuring is fun to watch.
Even though the Now was released only a month after I bought my Onestep+ and got into Polaroids, I didn't feel any shred of regret, given the early reviews for the Now. The Onestep+ is awesome and IMO of all the modern Polaroids, it's the most aesthetically pleasing, especially in black. Arguably worth buying even just for the looks.
Nice video! I’ve been going back and forth between a OneStep+ and a modded SX-70 and like them both! I’ve had fun doing long exposures with the + and its app. And I forget to reset the focus switch all the time…
Yesterday I got myself a onestep 2 vf in coral edition for little under 50 dollars (new! in a rtv agd store!) and today I shot my first picture with it. Turned out really good. Funny how I payed more for a 5 pack of film than the camera itself (or sad, but film photography is nothing compared to musical gear in terms of the cost).
Guys, I'm not sure which Polaroid I should buy... First I wanted the Go because it was cheaper, but I saw the One Step 2 and thought it was really cool. However, there is now gen 2 which looks cool too. What do you think?
@@JustAnotherChris thanks for the reply. I was surprised to hear you took a photo with the mint rf70 camera. I would have thought it was long gone after your videos in the past about it. Keep up the awesome content. More friends outings each with a different camera I think would be awesome.
Thanks to you i got into polaroid and now own 2 stranger things one step 2s and 1 660 autofocus the old onestep 2 st edition just hits different the newer models seem rushed imo talking about the now plus and onwards. Ps i also bought ur course and its legitimately the best polaroid guide out right now appreciate all ur hard work 👏🏻🏆
Hello chris i have a question (maybe you could make video about it) i have onestep + and its great camera, but i wonder is it worth upgreading to i-2? Does it set exposure well? (ive seen good and bad exposures) or maybe its better to buy good old 680? Thx in advance
The Onestep+ is basically my only I-Type camera (if you don't count the Polaroid Lab). But it makes great pictures. Right now it's my go to camera when it comes to instant pictures. Although I don't think I ever used the manual mode.
Me: buys an A7Siii for UA-cam videos. Also Me: buys a OneStep+ for the memories. Mine just arrived last week and I'm looking forward to giving it a go soon. Not sure I'll make much content about it, but I was handed a polaroid photo of my car at a track event a couple years ago and ever since I slowly developed the urge to get a camera of my own. The 600 foot tower cracked me up XD Cheers!
@@JustAnotherChrisabsolutely. If it’s too easy to take a thousand photos they lose their meaning. I learned on 35mm, developed my own negatives and positives at university, and the better digital gets, the cooler something like instant film becomes, for me 💯
Managed to find a onestep+ new in box for about $150AUD (around $98USD) on eBay, really looking forward for it to arrive. Watched your video comparing it to the Now+ and decided to pull the trigger haha.
I´m about to buy my first polaroid camera. Thinking of getting the OneStep + or the Sun660. Any thoughts? Could really use your help. Thanks! Love your videos!
I have the OneStep + and the app and manual features really makes it a good choice! I recently purchased the Sun 660 AF because I worry that the OneStep + rechargeable battery might fail on me, but the 600 film is slightly more expensive than i type. Both are great choices and shoot well!
Nice video. Your remark at the end with the batteries, yeah :/. Polaroid should really use replaceable batteries (like any other camera company does)...
So who is Brian? I just I have a Retrospekt refurb SX-70 original, and I just picked up a second SX-70 with a stuck shutter, $30, and sent it off to Retrospekt for refurb repair and conversion to 600 speed film. So again, who is Brian and how do I get connected?
@@JustAnotherChrisyea i was also looking for this exact video on ur channel id love to see you go over that, and maybe the other features as well cause this is my first ever camera I can’t wait to use it
Hi Chris! I’m planning to buy my first Polaroid camera. Initially, I wanted the Now Gen 2, but after seeing the many drawbacks, I’m having second thoughts- 🥲especially after noticing how great the OneStep+ looks. What’s your opinion?

Hey! Glad you have found the channel helpful! Thank you!
You think the one step + is better than the now gen 2? Leaving the price out of the equation
@@TommyDJ93 personally? Yes. Because with manual focus instead of autofocus, it just works better, imo

Yeah you gotta pay attention to that focus positioning. Haha
The One Step+ is my favorite of the modern ones!!!
It’s pretty great!
I rushed to buy a (barely used) OneStep+ after watching your video where you compared it to the newer Now+. Still very happy with it.
Great choice!! And a nice find

Was the sx70 modded for 600film ? Or just straight sx70 film.
Just a regular old fashion sx70

Something about a simple instant photo that modern day cameras can’t do
