▬ About Vincent Keymer ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Vincent Keymer was born in Mainz, Germany. He learned chess from his parents at the age of five.
In 2015 he became European champion with the German U18 national chess team.
Garry Kasparov in 2016 referred to Keymer as exceptional, and Keymer at 11 demonstrated his potential with an impressive second prize in a strong field in the Vienna Open tournament.
In July 2017, Vincent Keymer obtained the third IM norm by which he became an International Master in chess.
He has been coached by GM Peter Leko of Hungary. Leko himself was once the world's most promising prodigy.
From 29 March to 2 April 2018, he played in the A group of the Grenke Chess Open as the 99th seed. He won the tournament ahead of 49 grandmasters, including four 2700+ GMs, scoring 8/9 and achieving his first GM norm at age 13. He earned one-and-a-half more points than required for the GM norm. The Week in Chess said Keymer's performance at the Grenke Chess Open is "one of the most sensational results of all time."
His second grandmaster norm achieved Keymer in the Xtracon Open 2018 in Denmark with two rounds to spare.
From 10 October through 21 October 2019, Keymer played in the 2019 FIDE Grand Swiss Tournament, scoring 4½/11 in a world class field. This performance earned him his third and final GM Norm, making him a chess Grandmaster. Keymer said in an interview with Fiona Steil-Antoni that his third grandmaster norm should have come sooner.

@mike A He has a very positional style of play. He stabilizes his positions first, then he optimizes every piece and in the last step he overplays his opponents ´strategically. I think this is very similar to Karpov....

@@sambhawisharma1914 . Try to be polite. Pragg has traveled the world like a circus artist and failed to beat Karjakin`s (meaningless) record of becoming the youngest GM in history. Keymer on the other hand has a much more mature approach to it. Doing important things like school work and slowly working with Leko without any rush. Time will tell who is most successful in the end. India sure has a lot of talent, but sadly a huge number of indian chess fans always ruins the party by screaming in lack of objectivity. By the way I´m Norwegian, not German.

Lot of possible candidates that can dethrone Magnus Carlsen. I personally enjoy games of these upcoming grandmaster because they always create beauty on the board going for risky moves, all other grandmasters are just computer driven and can't think beyond their computer preparation. Congrats to the first Vincent kymer.... please don't compare him with any Bobby fisher... he'll create his own unique image.
In 10-15 years maybe but atm Carlsen is still to strong.
I disagree... Carlsen, Karjakin, Nepomniatchi and others are still very creative and the older Anand is still a calculating power house

Lol this video looks like a narcissist's dream video, the music, potrayal looks like of someone who is the greatest player in the making, but in reality he is just on the path which an average IM and an average GM take, I pretty sure he himself made this video.
