Glad he is ok. My husband said one thing that struck me as funny. He has the same truck (Dodge ram 1500) "The first time I got stuck, I too was a Princess. It cost $400 to tow it out. Then I realized I have a truck, and I freaking pinned it, back and forth, and I got out!" To me, he isn't all that stuck. With time, he will learn what his truck can do and the fact that he needs some weight in the box over the back wheels at all times during the winter. My little Ford Focus did this one day. Being embarrassed was how I managed to get myself out of it. Grabbed the floor mats, put them under my front tires and managed to get out of it after 3 tries. Then I drove to the auto store and bought new floor mats as mine were trashed! haha
Oh my you were creative!!! I love the floor mat idea... brilliant. Yes he knows he needs more weight in the back for sure. He has considered doing a flat bed on that truck ...who knows in the end what he will choose. 400 bucks for a tow is expensive!! Well hopefully lesson learned for Brady... Snow tires would help too More weight in the back also Thanks for watching us!!! I loved learning about the mats too, great idea in a pinch. I will remember that for sure
I live in Michigan, and I have always been fascinated with Alaska. We barely hear anything on the news about what's going on in Alaska. Thats why I watch a lot on videos as much as I can about it and the people there. I hope to visit someday. I really enjoyed your video dear. Stay safe out there in the wild😊🌲🌲
Well I can tell you I used to be fascinated too with Alaska while I lived in Oregon. I always had this strange "pull" towards this state for many years. My family used to watch Alaska shows all the time from 2010- 2016 We moved up here in 2016 and of course no need to watch any more shows on it! We absolutely love it here. The cold gets old here for sure...but we haven't left yet! Thanks for watching us!!!
I’m so glad Brody is ok and didn’t get hurt . Oh my heart I worry for you all❤. Loved how dad gave him a little hug and tap on the shoulder so he knows it’s ok . Thank the Lord for family ❤❤❤❤. Harley I’m so proud of you for passing your test 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Cathy!! Yes Mr. Brady was ok and he worried Mama bear! Oh my, I wish they could stay young forever but I also enjoy them getting older. Such a double edged sword.... At least we are always together. Thanks for watching us!!
I hope we get to see more of your daily life. I just subscribed & thought to myself that I really like this family & would like to see more. Thank you for sharing. Btw, I'm from the UK & I thought the cost of groceries was high here but wow!!!
Oh thanks for watching us! We call ourselves the " traveling circus" .... Lol Yes the cost of groceries here is crazy. The best deals on food are at Anchorage Costco. That's a 4-5 hour round trip for us. So more of a once a month deal... depending on the road conditions
Great video!! Yeah I’d say his truck was stuck! The semi chaos of Harley and Brady in three bears is hilarious! Me and my brother are called the Double Trouble Duo, it appears that name could also be used for them 🤣
Oh they are awful with the " sibling energy" escalation as you saw. Lily is much easier to shop with .... Funny with your brother, yes I saw the energy at the farmers market with you guys. He scooped you up no problem and I could tell you guys had a great sibling bond...!! It's too bad he doesn't live here.
Oh my word I forgot he did that at the farmers market! Yeah we’ve always had that bond, it’s never broke or gotten close to it. lol I noticed the difference between them and Lily!
Oh thank you. We call ourselves the "traveling circus"! Oh well at least we can laugh at ourselves.... Gotta laugh living in Alaska and try to have a decent sense of humor Thanks for watching us!!
Congrats Harley! I like how you all work together when stuck or whatever needs doing. I like the guys haircuts. I watch all your channels. They are all good. I think it's the first time I've seen Harley with different pants on.
Well thank you for watching us!!! Yes Harley studied pretty hard to pass it. That leaves Lily in a couple of years ! Yikes I really do feel old....oh well. Yes Harley is funny with his clothes. He has lots to choose from but he always wears his "favorites"...
So correct. As my kids get older it doesn't matter.... I still care just the same. Of course they " know" a lot at this stage, but of course so did I way back when! Lol
Yes. I feel like most cereal now has awful stuff in it. Sure it's a pretty color but wait - how is it colored and why is it colored??? It's crazy We do lots of eggs and sausage too Eggs have lots of good stuff in them We used to raise hogs and we did lots of bacon, that was the best breakfast. It would stick with you when it was very cold outside
@ I eat the same thing for breakfast everyday. Oatmeal with raisins and chopped dates and a little cinnamon…. Okay a lot of cinnamon. I am super boring.
@ I am a runner and I like the way that oatmeal keeps my blood sugar level for a long time- so I can go longer before lunch without having my blood sugar drop. I have a tendency to turn into a jerk when I need food. I can run 10 miles and go home to a big chocolate milk and some oatmeal with dried fruit and a banana and I’m great into dinner if I have to wait.
I hope you decorate your house for Christmas. It’s such a cheerful month. It’s beautiful, especially now that it gets dark early. You’ll have a lot of Christmas lights that you could see in the night.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
OMG I MADE IT IN THE VIDEO!!!! LOOK MA GET THE CAMERA!!😂😂😂 27:33 (All serious tho this family is such a extremely amazing family and I'm so glad and thankful to know them and call them my friends. Keep up the amazing work guys. You are all Awesome!!!)
Hello homestead living Alaska how are you today I glad Brady didn’t get to stuck with the truck you take your eyes off the road for one second and you can be in the ditch Lily is a better shopper with mom I think I am surprised she didn’t go. Have a good weekend here from Ontario canada ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🥶🥶😎
Hey Mike. Yes we are glad Brady is ok. He felt bad about everything. Yes Lily is very calm and easy to shop with for sure. She remembers everything! However she will sneak stuff in the cart too! Gotta watch those kids! Lol.
Do you miss it when they were little? They were so cute when they were little.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ those were precious memories. I hope you recorded a lot of precious memories.
When I work as a nurse & was about a hour 1/2 from home I would all was carry food water other drinks warm clothes socks boots hats to keep my head warm & blankets & pillows & plastic because you can bundle up and then wrap yourself up in the plastic if your car broke down somewhere & you had to wait on someone to get to you. Plus all was have a full battery backup for your Phone because all phone will call 911 what ever your Emergency number is
Those are great tips. I love the plastic tip too. Smart. Yep when it gets super cold here we always say it's " kill a man cold" and it's for real No joke. That's why when possible we travel in pairs or 2 cars. Thanks for watching!
Oh thank you, they are so prescious. They take good care of my husband and I. They don't like to see us lifting heavy things, being cold, and hey they even open the pickle jars for me! Gotta love it
Oh wow .. it's gone up for sure. I feel like the packaging of food is also " shrinking" too, which doesn't help the consumer! We are hoping for a larger garden next summer 🌞
👍👍👍 Way to go passing your test Harley. In Florida our DMV is combined with the tax collector’s office. DMV was its own agency in NY. Glad no one was hurt. Oh, I can’t do cottage cheese in lasagna. Hudson like cider? Our electric bill is anywhere from 180.00 - 210.00 monthly. 2.99 gas here. And just a tad under 4.00 for milk. See you next time!
Not too bad in your gas price! I have never tried the cottage cheese in lasagna....we will see. Yes we are happy Harley passed his test. Driving conditions as you see are sketchy until about March or so ... We got another 6-8 inches of snow ❄️❄️❄️ Thanks for watching us!!!
Oh thank you. There is so much dye and other junk in processed foods these days.... it's very concerning. We don't eat perfect but we try to be aware of things. Thanks for watching us!
Oh my goodness - bananas .69 cents a pound, NY state apples 1.49 cents this week, broccoli @ .99 cents per pound, cucumbers .89 cents each, avocados vary from four avocados at $5.00, last week I had 90% lean at 4.99 per pound, Daisy cottage Cheese is $2 dollars on sale and over $3.00 not on sale, milk at about 4.29 gallon, Synergy kombucha around $4.25 per bottle. Muir Glen sauce has no added sugar is an option here. Prego has added refined sugar and averages the cheapest. I live in Redding, CT.
Milk here is $9 for a gallon jug, $2.99 lb for apples, ground beef is around $17 for that same size tray, and I am not in Alaska, in central Alberta canada. Our gas is also much higher here. Gas is hovering around $1.42 per litre ( multiply it times 4 for a gallon. Diesel is $1.79 ( also multiply by 4). You are blessed to have all the kids helping out. Congratulations Harley. Glad Brady is ok. Stay safe all.
Oh my goodness those are high prices!!!! Higher than Alaska! Wow. We do have lots of viewers from Canada on our other channel and they do mention that certain areas of Canada are very expensive. Thanks for sharing! Yes all the kids are good and safe. Just got another 6-8 inches of snow!
Just watching your video I am from the UK London our milk is £1.45 for a 4 pinta. We have all different kind of milk 1.pinta 2pinta and a 6 pinta. And other kind aswell. No toiletries or laundry products,
Yes. You are correct. Alaska weather is very extreme here. Today, it's freezing rain. We were going to shop in town but we will go another day because folks are sliding into ditches because of ice in the roads...not worth it! Thanks for watching!!!
I'm in Ky, eggs 2.99, avacodoes 1.49, milk2.69Sams paper towels 15 roll for 18.96, toilet paper at Sams 45 roll 26.89. Tillamook shredded cheese regular 4.69, BOGO this week.😊
2.69 for milk? Wow ... that's a great price. Probably one of the lowest on the comments on this video. The avocado price is great too! That's wonderful. Thank you for sharing!!!!
In Remote Mexico, i can only get ultra pasteurized shelf stable milk, i buy two cartons at 1.5 liters each for 85 pesos which at todays exchange rate is $4.18 for 3 liters. I could get cheaper "milk" with oils and chemicals added but no way.
Well it's good you are buying the healthy milk. I don't enjoy purchasing the cheap regular kind but one day we will go back to a higher end milk.. Thank you for sharing!
Milk here in Washington State at Costco is 4.54 for Kirkland, Walmart and the Great Value brand is 3.62, Our prices here in Wa State isn't far from your prices. Just depends on what it is, some of your pricing is cheaper then ours.
Wow, those prices are so good. I find it interesting how some items are more expensive elsewhere. Oh well, no magical formula I guess. Bottom line is that food is spendy! We are hoping for a large garden next year. Thanks for watching us!
I rarely ever buy any name brand but here’s the Walmart (Great Value) brand equivalent and underneath that list is name brand equivalent here in the desert in California GV Milk $3.86/gallon. GV 24 ct eggs $8.48. GV 10 lb bag of sugar $8.17, Bananas 0.26 each (50 cents a pound), GV Strawberry Jam $3.74 for 30 oz Great value Angel hair $1 Fresh pineapple 🍍$2.28. GV Apple Juice $1.98/64 oz $2.98/96 oz Name brand items: C&H 10 lb sugar $8.94 Producers Milk $ 5.62/gal Egglands Best 24 ct eggs $11.44 Smuckers Strawberry Jam 32 oz for $5.17. Barilla angel hair pasta $1.84 Tree top apple juice $3.28
Oh wow! Those are not bad prices compared to us! Can't believe the angel hair pasta at a buck and pineapple is so cheap!! Thank you for the detailed pricing where you are at! Thanks for watching us
btw that french roast sf bay coffee which is what we drink too, is more expensive at my costco in oregon than at yoour smaller three bears store in alaska!
Milk in Puerto Rico is 3.79 but we don’t use it. My boys and I are lactose intolerant. I can go into our yard and get bananas, avocados and coconuts. Those prices are crazy. Wow.
Oh wow!!! That's so great you have all of that right there ...talk about " fresh" ... Neat Yes the prices here can be outrageous. Some things are fine, but other prices can be frustrating. Of course we prefer to have tons and tons of fruit but that's not happening at those prices....oh well. At least we are enjoying our potatoes we harvested this summer...they are wonderful
During construction of the ALCAN Highway, government hunters were tasked with providing meat to the workers. The moose population in the area was decimated within the first year. Today, 95% of all food consumed in Alaska has to be imported by land, water, or air. Alaska has more residents on welfare, per capita, than any other state in the nation, according to figures released Tuesday by the U.S. Census Bureau. An updated tally of state-by-state public assistance rates shows 6 percent to 7 percent of Alaska families receive government help to pay their bills. That's more than twice the national average.
Interesting facts. Yes Alaska does import most of the food. Most of the land here is difficult to farm on. We are hoping to have a bigger garden next year. It saves on food cost plus you are involved in growing your own food Growing food yourself or buying from a local farmer seems safer than the food at the stores. That's just my opinion though...
Prices are so high!!! In Michigan, Milk is around 3.50 a gallon. Those eggs would be about 6.00 dollars or less. I just can not believe how much more groceries are there!!!
Can I have Michigan prices please? Lol Yes, I know ....everything is spendy here for the most part. We moved from Oregon in 2016 and definitely some " sticker shock" at first .... But we love it enough that we are still here in 2024. Thanks for sharing today!!! 😊
I'm sure glad that I live in the lower 48 because your prices are out ragious. I have trouble buy what I need on the prices here. I'm 71 years old and am retired. I live on my Social Security which is actually below the poverty level. I thank God that I am able to get what I need and even do winter stock up. I've been working on my winter stock up since August. I've been able to stock up my pantry and freezers by purchasing in bulk and using my seal-a-meal to break everything down to my size of meals. I also go to Dollar Tree and purchase large containers to put my rice, dried beans, flour, sugar, and such in. God has over blessed me by being able to do this.
I forgot to say that I try to go to Sam's Club once a month to do my shopping. It's only an hour away and I usually go with my best friend and we split the gas costs.
Look at you being so frugal, I love it! It sounds like you are smart about breaking down the bulk supplies into smaller portions. Great job. Thanks for sharing, I need to do that too.
An Italian vlogger said Mutti marinara is closest to Italian if Costco has it there. I read Alaska has the smallest Costco's, you should have either bigger or more Costco's there. I live a couple miles from Seattle where Costco started. I think the Shoreline store is small but probably big compared to Alaska's.
So glad your Son is fine and not got hurt. I´m from germany and I have an lactose interolerance so I am not buying milk and most of the milkproducts. Well i´m fine with butter and cheese over 40% fett, cause there is no lactose in it. So I don´t know how much milk cost at the moment. In germany we do not have this huge milk bottels. We have milk in a 1 liter pack ( = 0,264172 gallon). So what I buy instead of cowmilk / goatmilk is oakmilk and I go shopping for this at Lidl. It is a discounter like ALDI. 1 Liter cost at the moment 1,09 EUR = 1,05 USD when it is not on sale. On sale it will cost me withe the pointcard/ app 0,75 EUR.
Thank you for sharing. I know milk is not the greatest for us to drink ...so I try not to drink that much. Oat milk I bet is pretty good for you. We would like to get more fruits/veggies but it's so expensive here! At least I have my boxes of our potatoes we grew this year. Those have been wonderful!!! We need a bigger garden next year for sure. Thanks for watching us!!! And yes I am happy Brady was ok, good lesson to learn going slow...
A gallon of whole milk in Oklahoma is $3.10. Also this depends on where you go Wal-Mart it is $3.59 so I make the extra stop at Dollar General to save $0.49.
Oh my, yes poor guy. I am glad he learned while his whole family was around to help him!... Sometimes it doesn't work out that convenient! Lol Thanks for watching us
They do have hats, sometimes they are not wearing them on a certain video. My ears freeze at 3 degrees, I love my comfy knit hats. Thanks for watching!
Whole milk, store brand at Schnucks in St.Louis, Missouri is $4.56 It's $6.59 for Prairie Farms whole milk. Edited to add: I just went through our Costco receipts and 1% is $3.35
Ok well it's good you are buying organic. We will hopefully go back to organic. I don't like buying the regular, but finances are a factor for right now Thanks for sharing!
Oh interesting. We see that the prices are high or the same but the containers " shrink".... We are hoping for a larger garden next year! Thanks for watching us!
May I know do pple living in Alaska only eat package foods instead of freshly made . And do pple in ALASKA & in US etc why does pple buy Bulk products and store them ? . Iam Jst asking cuz in our country we usually eat fresh made and less of packed foods 😅
Well your country sounds very healthy. Food here is very expensive. Fresh fruits very expensive. We will sometimes buy frozen berries to eat. They last longer. What country do you live in? Thanks for watching us!!!
Oh yes it's expensive...but this store is more convenient than Costco which is much further away. So in a pinch I am thankful it's there. It was - 6 F here at our cabin this morning... getting cold here ❄️❄️❄️❄️
Yes. Sometimes it's difficult for sure, I won't lie. We try to homemake all of our meals, we don't really eat out. That helps. We repurpose and enjoy thrift stores too
Well you are right there. Not many things are considered "cheap" here in Alaska. Thrift stores and making meals help us save money here Thanks for watching us!
Sorry mom I would have grabbed A sucker to. Lol. I think Brady and lily look an awful lot like each other. The boys for sure could have passed for twins. I was so shocked at those prices. Isn't your Costco cheaper? On some other channels that live in Alaska Costco is way cheaper than your three bears. I think like for the 4pack of butter was 14.something. Stuff like that. Where I live in Utah our milk is like 3.69 something like that.
Oh Harley is such a stinker.... Of course I worry about him chipping his teeth while he is crunching on that sucker! Lol Yes Anchorage Costco is way cheaper. However that day because Brady got stuck our time shrank and it ended up being 3 Bears.(Because it's closer) Milk in Utah is definitely cheaper than here!! Thanks for watching us!!
Snow tires would help too
More weight in the back also
Thanks for watching us!!! I loved learning about the mats too, great idea in a pinch.
I will remember that for sure

Harley congrats on the milestone!
Thank you Sarah! I will let him know you said that! I am very proud of him.
My babies are growing up....sad but exciting at the same time
@ShoppinginAlaska So true they grow up to fast.
Such helpful kids! That’s good to see
Oh thank you. I appreciate that very much...!
Kitty litter helps with tires in snow.😊
Ha, great idea. You just never know here when stuff like that will happen.
Good to be prepared.
I am just glad he was going slow...
It has to be non clumping litter.
Congrats Harley! I like how you all work together when stuck or whatever needs doing. I like the guys haircuts. I watch all your channels. They are all good. I think it's the first time I've seen Harley with different pants on.

Yes Harley is funny with his clothes. He has lots to choose from but he always wears his "favorites"...
Congratulations Harley. Glad Brady didn't get hurt. Gallon of whole milk in New York $4.49, and the spaghetti is $2.09. Love how helpful the kids are.
Ok thanks for sharing your prices! Thank you for the compliment in the kids. They are such great helpers, I agree!
I'm just glad that everyone was okay.
So correct. As my kids get older it doesn't matter.... I still care just the same. Of course they " know" a lot at this stage, but of course so did I way back when! Lol
Great video!!!
Thank you!!!
WOW. TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME!❤❤
Yes, it's expensive....,
Congrats Harley!
Thank you!!!! 👍👍

well you are at least getting your fiber, that's great!

I agree with Harley. We are never too old for suckers.
True! 😊 Thanks for watching us!
Absolutely. It is a neat time of year. It's great to be putting up our birch siding inside too
After watching Riley in the store, my mom would say, "you can't take kids anyplace with you". 😂
Oh yes. Their " sibling energy" goes up sometimes...lucky me. Lol!
@ShoppinginAlaska LOL
OMG I MADE IT IN THE VIDEO!!!! LOOK MA GET THE CAMERA!!😂😂😂 27:33

The boys look older with those hair cuts. Very nice looking young men.
Congrats to Harley for getting his permit.
I know, they are getting so big....happy and sad all at once! Thanks for watching us!
I've been Anchorage for 4 months now and I love it here and shopping at costco 😍
Awesome!!! We usually shop at the DeBarr Costco. I need to try the business center!
Do you miss it when they were little? They were so cute when they were little.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ those were precious memories. I hope you recorded a lot of precious memories.
Oh yes, many many pictures. They are growing like weeds.

Oh thank you!!! We are quite the family circus, but that's ok, we all enjoy each other!
just stumbled across your channel, and LOVE IT
Oh awesome and thank you!!!
Good looking boys there.
Oh thank you, they are so prescious. They take good care of my husband and I. They don't like to see us lifting heavy things, being cold, and hey they even open the pickle jars for me! Gotta love it
I do enjoy when you go shopping. A gallon in Ireland 3:25 . A year ago that price was 2:49.

Yes. You are correct. Alaska weather is very extreme here. Today, it's freezing rain. We were going to shop in town but we will go another day because folks are sliding into ditches because of ice in the roads...not worth it! Thanks for watching!!!

I shop at Kroger. Half gallons of milk. $1.39
In Louisville Kentucky milk is $2.49 a gallon. Eggs are $1.99 for an 18 pack
2.49 a gallon? Wow, so jealous of your prices...thank you for sharing!!!

What? How is that?? It's so funny how some things don't " make sense" ...thanks for sharing
@@ShoppinginAlaska crazy , i know! but true..
Neat
Yes the prices here can be outrageous.
Some things are fine, but other prices can be frustrating. Of course we prefer to have tons and tons of fruit but that's not happening at those prices....oh well.
At least we are enjoying our potatoes we harvested this summer...they are wonderful
Its my daughters first year with her license in Anchorage. Snow is scary.
Snow is very scary, I agree!!! Especially when you see your "babies" driving in it! Yikes I don't like it
During construction of the ALCAN Highway, government hunters were tasked with providing meat to the workers.
It saves on food cost plus you are involved in growing your own food
Growing food yourself or buying from a local farmer seems safer than the food at the stores.
That's just my opinion though...
Prices are so high!!! In Michigan, Milk is around 3.50 a gallon. Those eggs would be about 6.00 dollars or less. I just can not believe how much more groceries are there!!!
Can I have Michigan prices please? Lol
Yes, I know ....everything is spendy here for the most part.
We moved from Oregon in 2016 and definitely some " sticker shock" at first .... But we love it enough that we are still here in 2024.
Thanks for sharing today!!! 😊
Illinois, close to St Louis has milk for $2.79 a gallon
Wow 2.79 is a great deal on milk!!! I'm jealous!
Thanks for sharing
Oh awesome!!!
Oh I will remember that brand and look for it next time we are at Costco. Thank you very much for sharing that!!!!

Grocery prices are high worldwide, its worrying for families on tight budgets
I absolutely agree. I also feel like the packaging is " shrinking" too...which makes it even a smaller portion.
In Nebraska at Walmart, their brand of milk is 2.73 for a gallon.
Ok that's one of the cheapest prices yet I think
The boys need something on their heads in this cold weather.
They do have hats, sometimes they are not wearing them on a certain video.

Lol
Yes Anchorage Costco is way cheaper.
However that day because Brady got stuck our time shrank and it ended up being 3 Bears.(Because it's closer)
Milk in Utah is definitely cheaper than here!!
