  • The fame of Jesus spread throughout Galilee, then Judea, then the Roman Empire, and then throughout the whole world, so that Jesus of Nazareth is far and away the most famous person in history. Fame is connected with fascination. We're fascinated by famous people-we want to know more about them. And fascination with Jesus Christ is the essential thing. But wherein lies the fame of Jesus? What is Jesus famous for?

Unfortunately Hades and Nordic Hel are the two pagan gods still in business thanks to Christianity and Islam. It’s very confusing to my Autistic mind.

Arrh, saying of Jesus ... Mark seems to be a retelling of stories about Elisha, Moses, eg, Moses parts the sea and crosses; Jesus calms the sea and crosses. Mark also redacts Psalms, eg, Mark 15 34 “my god, why have you forsaken me” from Psalm 22 1 “my god, why have you forsaken me.” The Sermon of the Mount on turning the other cheek “Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth” (Matthew 5.38-42) has been redacted from Isaiah. 50.6-9. “I offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard. I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting”.
Is there any saying in the Gospels that wasn't lifted from the Hebrew Bible?
    This is a fable.
    Move on.

Jesus was living out what was predicted in the Hebrew Scriptures. He was the Suffering Servant who came to fulfil the Law and the Prophets and achieve the Redemption that was always promised. Stay here a while for there is Hope and a Future (Jeremiah).
      Grace and Peace.
