That's a great question. No, the way it's set up. When you pull up there's individual sections. One for the front wheels of your truck, one for the back wheels of your truck, and one for your trailer. It literally gives you 3 different readings. That's the great thing about it. Put everything that you normally take in your trailer & truck and it will give you an accurate reading of everything. Let us know how you make out.
Im not sure how it work with bumper pull when i owned a 17’ travel trailer I never weighted it, I now own a 35’ 5th wheel here are results of my weight while hooked up Steer axl. 3880 Drive. Axl. 5480 Trailer axl. 8840 Gross weight 18,200 Unhitched truck alone Steer axl 3820 Drive axl. 3220 Trailer axl. 0 Grosss weight 7040 As you can see the drive axl weight has a difference of 2260 lbs which according to specs the pin weight of my rv states 2147 lbs i was lucky the campground was 5 minutes away as they dont let you drop the trailer at the weigh station. Do you remember if the weight attendant asked you if this is your first or second weight ? Because the second weight is with just truck alone , so if you have a chance weight tow vehicle alone and let me know .Safe travels 🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@johnjunior7231 Yes. I will do that. This is the first time we've ever weighed it. That's a good suggestion. We have a bumper pull, so it might not change as much as yours did. But we will let you know.😃
Ok great prior to doing that go to your Rv paperwork and find out the pin weight of your travel trailer and you will have an idea of how much weight you are putting on tour rear axle and remember that pin weight is to be added to your payload in your tow vehicle
It is very important to know your weights
Very true. This is what we are trying to tell people. We all need to be safe.
Did you drop the trailer and weigh the tow vehicle alone?
