Canyon of Mysteries- An Alaska Packrafting Tale

- Armed only with a vague description from an out-of-print Alaska whitewater guidebook, we decide to launch our packrafts into a mysterious and committing canyon. We found when started our way down the wild rapids that navigating Primrose Creek in our Alpacka packrafts was both more difficult and dangerous but also more exciting than we imagined.
Most Alaskans are impressive: burly boat captains, incredible outdoor adventurers, world-class bush pilots, rugged hunters, self-sufficient homesteaders. I am none of these things. A mediocre photographer, coward adventurer and general sleepyhead, I usually stay close to home and am in bed by 9:30. However, I make the most of it and try to be a little goofy in the process.

So rad, definetley being added to the list of rivers to paddle! Super well done video too!!
Thanks! Much appreciated. It's a great little creek but a little testy with the flow. Too little and it gets bony, too much and portaging the Interrupter can be dicey
Nice man, looks like a cool adventure
Thanks for checking it out and for the comment, Brian. It was!
