Mr King might want to rethink his advice about leaving the gun in its slip by the front door overnight. I get the point. but it might be better to tie the slip to the door handle and keep the gun in the safe overnight I have do this with the dog lead so I don't forget the dog.
I agree it's not very good advice leaving the gun by the door the night before. Also Mr King gets the gun out of the slip and waves it about before breaking it first which isn't very good safety. Meant to be teach good gun handling.

Got to say that leaving your gun by the front door with cartridges the night before you go, is not great advice. Someone is bound to follow this advice which is not a safe practice. Sorry to sound a bore or a stick in the mud, but I think most will agree it's not safe advice to publicise I'm afraid.

Mr King, I suggest there are far worse things than running out of cartridges, for example stupidly encouraging illegality. Equally bad is that that FSB, a brand built entirely online, don't seem to understand they are damaging themselves, their sponsors and shooting generally by being too lazy to re-edit or remove this egregious section. Come on Charlie, you'd expect a retraction or immediate rectification from the RSPB etal for any mistakes they make and you should at least do the same (arguably FSB should set a higher standard).

If you're acting fire arms officer sees this then I hope he revokes your shotgun certificate immediately as you are clearly not competent to own one. How completely and utterly irresponsible to say and do such a thing, in fact if you did that and the gun was stolen you would be in as much trouble if not more than the thief. I know one incident of somebody doing this and having their shotgun certificate revoked when police tapped the door for an unrelated matter.

Outer Hebrides apparently got red deer on some isles, what a dream hunt that would be. No idea if there are any game to stalk on Orkney or Shetland
