i was going to suggest this 🤭 i use my phone at night to check what needs water, lots of my plants are hanging so it’s a pain to take the insert out… great tipped i picked up from somebody a while ago🥳
A very interesting and informative video and yes💦 I’d love to see how things go with these planters. Love💚your videos. They are always fun as well as helpful. Thanks for all your hard work getting them to us.
Yes I will love to see updates on self watering pots. I use Gardenix . They work well, colorful and inexpensive. I even have a cactus planted in one of the pots to match my decor. I just do not 💦 it as often. Happy Planting 🪴💚🌿
I have a Calathea Sanderiana in a self-watering pot planted in loose aroid mix and it’s been doing great so far! I got the plant as a gift, I didn’t want one before as they have a bit of a reputation but in this pot it’s doing really well! I got another one as a gift, it’s in a standard pot and I always manage to not water it enough, so…
I love the one with the little raindrop indicators on the side! That's just cute. The trouble I have had with the less expensive ones that have the min/max indicator is that sometimes that fails. Then sadface because you can't tell at all how much water is in the reservoir. Boo!
Watching you, I really kinda want to try pon. I use self watering pots for my carnivorous plants and love em. Just getting my alocasia game locked in, so change scares my right now. 😂. The clear bottom planter kills me. Tried one. Seeing “dirty” water or algae growth against that white, ahhhh! I tend to have my plants on tables that stand out.
I defo say give it a go! try it with a plant you could easily replace or don't mind restarting if something goes wrong. I don't think it will, but always good to be cautious when experimenting with new things. I also just did a video on how to take plants from soil to pon, so hopefully that will help you with the transition and I know the clear bottom pots aren't my faves either because of this... but we gotta try 🤷♀️
I have an alocasia black velvet which is pushing out a new leaf but loosing all other ones at the same time. Looking at your Frydek I think I might want to try transferring it into pon + a self watering pot.
💦 curious to see how people flush the 3rd one 🧐 i don’t really flushed my plants but after a year of being in semi hydro there is build up 🫣 so i’ve kept away from those kinds of pots… they are good value for money though😅
I prefer pon personally because I like that it's a bit finer than leca. And it naturally pH balances so you don't need to worry about sorting your water :)
check out @another.plant.swap on instagram. Unfortunately tickets are sold out for the October swap but we'll be having more in the future so keep an eye out there :)
💦 Dm’d You some pics of your new baby 👑 your a delight Emma you put in so much hard work on your YT (just sorry she is soooo Belated 🤣) have a good night lovely 🌱💚
I wonder, with the wall mount pot, you could put a flashlight up to it and see where the water level is?

I love your spirit. I wish nothing but the best for you.

I adored this video! Thank you!!!!🙏💜🪴
💦It's the first time I'm seeing a scindapsus on a pole, it looks so cute! I think I'll have to try it!

Sounds like yours might be going into a bit of dormancy... but I defo suggest semi-hydro for alocasias. All of mine have loved it!
Oh, I’d give you an El Choco Red.I have a few cuttings going atm. Definitely start small. They acclimate horribly to new environments.
💦 would Love to see an update on the self watering pots please Emma I’ve got a couple of plants in them, but would like to know what you think. 👍
Can do! I'll let y'all know in a couple of months how I'm finding them :)
Emma, Have you thought of designing your own range of pots and moss poles ?
omg I wish! I just have no idea how to even go about that!
Yessss hi Emma 💚💚💚 i love all my self watering pots 😊
💦 Thanks for the video, was wondering about self watering pots.

good point! maybe just repot at that point and rinse the pon?
💦 Would love to see an update on the pots.
Update would be awesome 💦
💦 would love an update!
I’m wanting to switch my alocasias to either leca or pon. Which would be a better option?
I prefer pon personally because I like that it's a bit finer than leca. And it naturally pH balances so you don't need to worry about sorting your water :)
💧I'd love to see an update! I just purchases a set of self watering pots with the rope from amazon for my calatheas.
ooh which ones did you get?
YES!!! 💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧💧
Could you use a coffee filter
my only worry is that it would rot with the constant moisture around it
💦absolutely would love to see the update!
How do I join in the plant swap Emma? ❤
