In Architecture All Access Season 3, Episode 3, Tom Petersen, Intel Fellow in the Client Graphics and AI group at Intel, walks us through an all-access look into the new GPU architecture inside Meteor Lake. With Meteor Lake, our objective is to take a leap in graphics performance and Tom, unpacks the improvements in our graphics IP along three vectors: faster clock frequency, improved architectural efficiency and increased engine size. All with support for DirectX12 Ultimate and XeSS to run your favorite games.

Really looking forward to Meteor Lake's launch in December. Intel made massive strides with performance on Alder Lake, and Meteor Lake is now making massive strides in efficiency (and IGPU and AI NPU) and is doing so with a brand new node, chiplet design, and new fundamental philosophies. Really excited with how fast Intel has been moving lately, these last 3 years have had more progress and innovation than the entire decade before.
Excited for what this could mean for handhelds. Let's go!

I'm excited about a Microsoft Surface Pro 10 with Meteor Lake vs Microsoft Surface Pro 10 5G with Snapdragon X Elite.
Snapdragon X Elite launches late 2024, it would have to go up against Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake mobile.
Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake don't even have a paper launch like Snapdragon X Elite. We will see what we get at CES and Computex next year.

Lunar Lake is using TSMC N3B which is already ready and Apple is using it. So it is coming in 2024 very very soon.🎉

Apple M Series Architecture is still Monolithic the only advance packaging involved is with the Ultra variant. Which is why we are still waiting for M3 Ultra.
Unlike Intel, AMD and Qualcomm, Apple use their own chips in their own products, which makes it easier for them to release products faster since they don't rely on OEMs.
Qualcomm with Snapdragon X Elite is already months ahead of Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake.
Computex 2024 will be a good indicator of what the reality on ground will be.
I'm excited about the level of competition. Intel are gaining a lot of ground with their strategy to regain leadership. The rest are not just sitting around waiting for Intel to catch up, not TSMC or AMD or Qualcomm or Apple or Nvidia.

Wait for Arrow Lake in 2024.
Meteor Lake is a mobile architecture. You may see some OEMs make prebuilts with proprietary motherboards and soldered Meteor Lake, but you wont see them as socketable chips, it is not an LGA1700 chip either. The next socketable consumer CPU is Arrow Lake in 2024.
Desktop Meteor Lake was canceled. Arrow Lake will be when this stuff comes to desktop.
Like what, 4 Meteor Lakes in a double breasted yet also thin coat? It would be good for fitting more DDR5 and HBM3ish and extra NPU maybe. Hit 'em up with what it is you wanted I guess.

50 year after I use quantum pc for my desktop
on die ram like mtk leaked image help igpu and game run smoother. rtx 4090 mobile use more than 120w to get high performance, don't hesitate ro release a cpu have a hungry igpu power if you can't make dgpu mobile for laptop. rtx4090 use more than 500w (they made good heatsink solution for it), and unreleased 4090ti more than 800w (near 1000w)... all need use lot of energy or high frequency as possible to have highest performance

You need understand that 3nm doesn't not have any physical meaning. Also, everyone cannot pay the price for 3nm. Apple has different price structure and user.
Intel 4 is as close as Intel has ever been to Apple's nodes. In 2024 they will have a mobile design called Lunar Lake that uses TSMC N3B like Apple does, and in 2025 they are expected to have better nodes than Apple with Intel 18A.
Intel 4 node is better than TSMC 4nm.
Next year you will see Intel CPUs with Intel 20A will beat apple, X elite in efficiency and provide great insane efficiency gains.

Lunar Lake-MX is 17 watt Core 7 and Core 5. Not ULTRA.
Arrow Lake on Intel 20A, RibbonFET(GAA) and Power Via in 2024.

Other channels have reported laptop manufacturers are angry at Intel, as in their testing these processors are hardly any better and intel have told them to rely on ai marketing to sell thier laptops with these upcoming intel processors. I hope at least these are equal or better at least in media playback, encoding, decoding.

Laptop manufacturers are very happy because Intel is going to deliver super efficient laptop generations from 14th December 2023 that will beat AMD completely in CPU, iGPU and mostly in efficiency and perf./Watt.

LNL is not Intel Core ULTRA.
Arrow Lake will use intel 20A and Panther Lake will use Intel 18A.

No, its called being flexible. a important step for them after the 10nm woes, Theyy will continue to evaluate Node/IP for different products but their high-end still slated to use Intel fabs 20A/18A. Lunar Lake is a Meteor Lake like Arch but its own thing targeted to compete at the low-power segments at 8w fanless/18w-30w like Arm based chips M3/Snapdragon.

Lunar Lake CPU and iGPU are in the same Tile. It is running at 3.91GHz.
Meteor Lake has CPU and iGPU in different Tile and running upto 5.1GHz to 5.4GHz.
