The structural integrity of supports are not inspected daily. Blocking is inspected daily. This is literally the first time a B&M has ever done this, it’s so astronomically rare for something like this to happen.

I don't even know why they say they do daily inspections. Probably just for PR. They don't. They are required to have their coasters inspected only twice a year.
Maybe by "Inspection" they mean visually just looking at the coaster. Not even a walk around.

Let it be known that this type of negligence is not acceptable. People deserve safe rides, especially at the prices these places charge hard working fmailies. It’s not negligence, the parks invest tons of time and money into these rides including maintenance. Each ride is inspected throughout the year. This is a freak incident and no one was harmed because the rides engineers over engineer everything to ensure safety. The ride probably could have ran a year with a broken support before more issues would arise. Not saying it doesn’t need to be fixed, of course it does. But do you notice the nail in your tire before it goes flat everytime? The more important question is “why” why did it crack? And what can be done to prevent that in the future. That is what they are investigating now. You are more likely to die in the car going to the park than in the park itself. Simply facts.

That is NOT a crack; that is an actual break. You can tell that quite easily when you see how the piece above the crack shifts entirely due to vibrations. That would not happen if it were a crack. I'm no engineer...not even close (I spent my career as an Executive Secretary) and it's clear to me that it's a break, not a crack. The man who reported it is an angel in disguise, not to mention a hero. That amusement park owes him a huge debt of gratitude for the disaster he prevented from occurring. Heaven only knows how many lives were saved by his willingness to keep reporting it until an employee finally took him seriously. Those who ignored his message should be fired immediately. As to them "checking the rides every day," obviously that is a huge exaggeration. I would never ride that again and I hope everyone else feels the same way. It should be shut down permanently, in my opinion. In fact, maybe the whole park should be shut down until every ride is inspected by a professional team not in any way affiliated with the park.

That's not a "crack," it's a clean break at the welded junction of two similar metals. Can't tell from here but likely weld impurities (inclusions) weakening the wall - a manufacturing defect. Can be ground clean & beveled, then welded correctly and ex-rayed to prove all inclusions are ground away and a solid weld is now in place. Note: a quality weld is as strong as the parent metal. Also, over time an weld, notprotected by primer & pain will rust & weaken. This break does not appear to be form rust damage.

A crack in metal is a split in the metal reducing the amount of support structure; a fracture is where the metal no longer has any support structure. Eccept for a visitor to the park, Jeremy Wagner, who filmed the giant crack and alerted Carowinds officials. What about structural integrity on the rest of the Fury Rollercoaster? And what about the rides in the rest of the park? Fury is enormous, but there are also other huge rollercoasters at the park, as well as high flying rides there. I have always loved Carowinds. I grew up 20 miles from Carowinds and my friends and family go every year. Carowinds dodged a bullet on this one, but they better step up. There's way too much to lose.

Everyone would have been fine, no one was in danger. The support did absolutely fail, but the other supports around it would've kept the ride up just fine. In fact, you could just straight up remove that support and probably even another one close to it and the ride would run just fine thanks to the redundancy of the other supports. I think that the footer of the diagonal support probably sunk into the ground, which put stress on the suport and caused it to crack. However, Im not an engineer. If you want an engineer's perspective, then watch the video by Ryan the Ride Mechanic. The disturbing thing about this is that the park didnt notice this. However, they are obviously taking steps to improve this ride. They literally have drones flying around and people on the track looking at every single inch of it. After they get this fixed, there will be nothing to worry about and the ride will be perfectly safe to ride. (it still is perfectly safe to ride even with that support beam cracked, but it obviously isnt allowed to operate like that) Basically my point is that no one is in danger and for every one saying that people couldve died and that the ride needs to be torn down etc, they don't know anything about roller coasters and just go by what they see. I hope they get fury back up and running, I love this thing and its depressing that it will be closed for so long

Suggest they check the weight of everyone getting on that ride, once it's fixed. . . .

That isn’t the issue, they can’t fit on the ride if they’re too heavy anyway

You should HAVE probably known by now that there is no such thing as should "of!" The word "should've" (as well as "could've," "would've" etc) is a contraction. That apostrophe between the letters "d" and "v" hold space for the letters "h" and "a" in have. If it were as you wrote it, that contraction would have been written as "should'f" -- which makes NO sense.
