Thanks man! Interestingly this one is not a competition package. It’s a CS (club sport), which has some stuff the the comp does not have, like: Carbon hood, extrai oil pump, different oil sump holding 7L, Retuned suspension, and some other good stuff 😎
@@autointern7371 no. Engines never changed it’s just a tune with 9hp more. Here are the differences of CS vs base/comp pack: Engine tune +28/+9hp vs Base/CP and +38lb-ft of torque Single walled welded on exhaust tips with ///M engraving (sound/cosmetics) New exhaust tune, less burbles than comp (sound) CFRP driveshaft, pre-2018 and some 2018 base/ZCP cars had it too (drivetrain rigidity/weight reduction) CF front splitter (downforce) CF Gurney flap (downforce) CF hood (downforce, improved cooling, weight reduction) 763M wheels 19" front 20" rear (weight reduction) PSC2 tires 265/35R19 front 285/30R20 rear (improved grip, however PSS in the US ) Recalibrated ABS, DSC, EPS, EDC, DCT and e-diff, optimized for R-comp tires Retuned suspension (CP springs and rear swaybar, base front swaybar -> reduced understeer) Increased top speed limiter Lightweight door cards with pull straps (weight reduction/reduced sound deadening) Alcantara steering wheel (improved cosmetics/touch) Seats with alcantara side bolsters (improved grip) Single zone HVAC (weight reduction) Center armrest deletion (improved elbow room/weight reduction) Headreasts with M stripes (cosmetics) Alcantara dashboard trim with CS engraving (cosmetics) CF rear diffuser (cosmetics) OLED tail lights (cosmetics) CS door sills (cosmetics) Exclusive Lime Rock Grey colour optional (cosmetics) No 6sp option Many of the impactful changes (wheels, tires, aero) were optional on the competition. I like some of the creature comforts and a 6sp manual, so I went with comp pack, but with MPE and 763M wheels with Cup2s.
Not a Honda guy but I had to see why someone would dump a Type R, that car unlike the BMW lol will increase in value. Although knowing you had a 335 modded, I get it at a cars stand point but not a financial lol. But I get it. I did think you were gonna say B..RZ lol
Well they made 48,000 type R and only 1,200 M3CS. Maybe it will increase in value after all. I ended up selling the type R for more than what I paid and bought the M3CS for less than MSRP with 4k mile. So for me it was a win. Before the R I have been a Bimmer head since a kid. But dont get me wrong, I loved the type R. Just wanted different jaja. May buy a next gen R in the future. 🏎🏎🏎
Congrats! The Honda Type R is a fun to drive Car and reliable, it’s a beginners sport car! The BMW M3CS is a huge step up in Performance, Driving and Handling, nice daily driver and track car ! Enjoy your M3CS. Next Step Porsche GT3RS 😎
@@chrisr4338 the Dual clutch transmission is actually very good. Have you tested bmw manual transmission on the f80 chasis? They are bad since they feel spongy/rubbery without that metallic feel and long throws. DCT is the way to go on the F80.
You poor thing. What an epic downgrade.
Yes, I will miss the R.
They are both nice cars…but the FK8 Type R has everything I like in a car…enjoy your new M 👍
Def an upgrade well-done
@@MusicalFanatik thanks man!
@@s2kgpwcrlee126 agree thanks! 👍🏼
You took 2 steps back, YO! To each their own.
So far I am loving the M3CS. I actually don’t miss the R.
Well I’m glad you got the competition package rather than a plain m3, i approve 🤲

I have to agree. I upgraded from a BMW to a Fk8. Never looked back. BMW life sucks badly.

Do you brother! Upgrade? Downgrade? Who cares as long as you're happy.

Be honest. The lease was up🫡
Lol, I never leased it.
Uffda.
Not as good as R😩
I know, it’s better 😂
