I never put sugar in my cornbread. I use a half flour half cornmeal mix to make it. As for celery, sometimes I use the bottom and leaves for stock, and sometimes I plant them in a flower pot and let them grow.
I also put chopped celery in the freezer and it is also one of my favorite freezer hacks. I also do the same thing with green onions and it works absolutely fine but it seems like it wouldn't. I feel sneaky every time I do it, and then I can pull them out to sprinkle on top of things for just a minute in the oven, like cheese fries or nachos. It also works well for soups, or to throw into ramen, and it looks so fancy, like I have my life together or something. Although someone on reddit once yelled at me in a meal prep community about how using frozen celery and carrots is an abomination that they wouldn't serve to their dog or worst enemy, so I guess there's that. ;)

Hey Christine! Just wanted to lend a tip on those blueberry muffins which is to lightly toss your blueberries in flour before adding it to your mixture so the blueberries don't sink. It helps! Thanks for the video!
I have always loved celery in my chili! Some people think it’s weird, but if they try it they like it!! I started freezing my celery after I saw this video!! Thank you!!
I do the same thing with onions as you did with celery. I sometimes only need about half an onion for something so I chop the entire thing and freeze the other half. I usually use them in soups, stews, pot roast, just makes it a little faster.
I have a hack for you! wrap the celery in aluminum foil and in the fridge (veg drawer) it will stay good for weeks, You might want to take the leaves off, they might go mouldy, but mine stay fine for a month or longer.
I am personally very, very anti sugar in cornbread and I grew up just south of Atlanta and am still in the south. Some people make it a little sweet though for certain things, but it’s never been for me. I always hated all of the prepackaged corn muffin mixes because they were sweet! According to my grandmothers, all cornbread needs to be is self-rising cornmeal, salted butter, and buttermilk.
Do you wash the cantaloupe with soap and water? It’s the best way to ensure you won’t get listeria from it so it’s not transferred from the skin when you cut into the melon!
Sugar in cornbread!! Absolutely a must in my part of TX. Also if you coat your berries with flour before adding..it helps them from all sinking to the bottom of muffins.
I'm trying to learn how to keep food from going bad before I cook it. I end up not eating for about a week every month because I cant afford to eat. Your videos are great and I'm learning so much from you, thank you.

I just bought a cherry pitter and it has totally changed the game! I live where there is a plethora of cherries every summer, and I used to pit the cherries by hand. Took forever! Highly recommend spending $13 for a cherry pitter if you’re gonna freeze them or make a pie 👍🏼
Pitting cherries without a pitter? Use an empty wine bottle and a chopstick. Position the cherry over the opening and press down with the blunt end of the chopstick . The pit will fall in the bottle.
I make a blueberry crisp that's similar to your cherry one. Maybe a little less sweet though. I actually like eating mine cold for breakfast :P Sugar in cornbread for sure :)
Frozen celery is genius. I often just go ahead and cook some celery and onions together (using up all my "extra" celery, if I bought it for a specific recipe) and then freeze that in sour cream containers. Ready for soup bases or to zhuzh up some Stovetop Stuffing, my one true love. :)
