      Just bought a completely stock, white ‘00 XJ Sport with 56k original miles. Arizona garaged it’s whole life. Paid $11k and I think I got a deal. Drove a ‘96 XJ Country for 10 years a while back. Had to get another one, and I’ll never sell it!

    My girlfriend and I looked at like 5 XJ's in southern California. The first few were lifted and had a lot of rust and holes. We finally found a stock 2001 4.0 2WD one in perfect condition for $3,800, was an older lady's daily driver. Zero rust underneath, I was happy to finally find it. Just wish it was 4WD.

    I have a '96 XJ Sport 2 Dr I bought new, it has 125K miles. I live in the high desert of Oregon we almost never get more than 15% humidity even in the snow. No salt on the roads here either. So it is truly a rust free car. There are hundreds of old XJ's around here, some pretty nice and others just mainly parts cars. Your XJ is looking pretty nice. I thought about updating mine with new grill etc.. to make it look like a 2001 model but I've had this old gal so long I just can't do it. Thanks for the video!

    Just finished up my 89 rust free 125K mile XJ Laredo with a nice paint job. It's completely stock sans 235 tires and runs flawlessly. I know folk that disdain the Renix MPFI since it's pre OBD but this thing runs just fine. It's not that hard to diagnose IF it's not running correctly, but since I've owned it, it's not skipped a beat. These XJ's are so small and nimble and easy to get around and park. No need for a backup camera. I don't plan on selling it but if someone would offer me crazy money who knows. Thanks for your channel and updates.

    I'm currently in the market for a used Jeep Cherokee (1997-2001) and could use some expert advice. When considering the purchase of a used Jeep Cherokee, at what mileage threshold should I start to be concerned? In other words, what is considered too high mileage for a used Jeep Cherokee, indicating that I might want to pass on that particular vehicle? I'm looking for insights into reliability, maintenance expectations, and overall value as the mileage increases. Thanks in advance for your guidance!"

    • @KCars
      @KCars  4 місяці тому

      Personally I like lower mileage and would pay more for it but they can definitely still be solid at higher mileage as long as they have been maintained well. I’d say up to about 300k would be considered ok as long as it’s been maintained, that’s the most important part. I have a video series on all the maintenance that I did to mine after I bought it, I’d recommend doing all that on any XJ after you buy it just to make sure you have a good starting platform and you take care of the basics, it could also reveal any other issues that need to be addressed
